KC...no one has insinuated that you're a bad person, or that those of us who see it differently than you do are more virtuous. Its a debate. Thats all it is. There is no real right or wrong stance to take on this. Its all about personal opinion and on that everyone differs to some degree. If you really want this thread locked you need to notify a moderator. But I honestly think you are getting really upset over nothing...again, just an opinion and with no intent to inflame.

It's a debate. We all have different opinions. If you don't like them, no one's forcing you to read or respond to any posts on this thread. There's nothing on here that would warrant this thread closed (yet).

We're ALL entitled to give our opinions, even of you (or I) don't like them.

My only beef with any of this was how nasty people were getting with poohlvr. And don't bother helpfully pointing out how she was taking it personally or anything else - bottom line, y'all were nasty to someone I love.

I only am on the community board because this thread was moved here by a mod from the Resorts board, which I'm sure it's more relevant to. I don't post over here by choice, and I'm sure you can see why. I'm not an 'insider' - I don't hanker after a tag - I don't craft . . .

This wouldn't have been a big deal to me. The poor thing had to go to the bathroom, obviously bad if she was using the guests toilet. Would I find it strange? Yes. Would I be complaining to the desk? No. And something tells me that the maid would have cleaned up after herself, so no reason to ask for the room to be recleaned, unless of course it obviously needed it.

Would you honestly want her to lose her job over this and/or be humiliated in front of her boss and who know who else? Honestly? What she did was not criminal. She had a key to the room and was supposed to be in there. Not the most ethical thing to do of course, but there may have been no other option.

And I'm sorry but the poo lover (poohluvr) comment was hysterical! Come on you had to laugh at that.

And I called the hotel manager of the resort we'll be staying at in November, and asked them if it was OK for a maid to use my hotel room to potty while she was working, and he said absolutely not, the housekeeping managers have told their staffs this many times, and the staffs have scheduled breaks for this reason,

What...like the CMs are chained to there linen carts? Use the public restrooms that Disney so amply provides throughout their fine resort establishments. Do not use my resort toilet to take a dump...especially if my toothbrush is in the vicinity!! Who knew that there were so many DISers vying for the honor of being the Patron Saint of Incontinent Housekeepers!?!

I can see both sides of this. The cleaning lady's poop is no grosser than the poop of the person who just came out of the stall you're going into in a public bathroom. However, you do expect the toilet in your room to be for your private use and I would have been taken aback to return to my room and find someone going #2 there. Put me in the camp of "no, she shouldn't have done it but she must have had an urgent need."

Hey, maybe the man who walked in on her could have told her he'd take his business elsewhere if she didn't do her business elsewhere!

How do we know how ample or far in between the restrooms are? Some act like she thought " Gee, 4236 is my favorite number...think I'll go in and leave my mark (on the bottom of the toilet bowl)" Heavens, just last night I had a...what do people call it...a turtle head sneak up on me so fast that I was squinchin' my hiney to get to a bathroom...any bathroom. (Now if that doesn't offer up a pretty picture for everyone involved I don't know what will) Again, I figure she was in there cleaning, was over come with "I either use the toilet or the trash can" and seized the closest facility to avoid a mess that would surely left the guest more upset. What if she had been throwing up? Would that have made a difference or should she just hold that in too and deal with it. Humans only have the capacity to hold in so much...unlike my doggy who can go almost 20 hours without an accident. What a good girl she is
