In a way it seems so hard to believe that it has already been four years. Then there are times that it seems like it was a whole lifetime ago.

I am planning to take my kids for ice cream and maybe a picnic. Some real family time to embrace the fact that we have each other.

Between 9/11 and Katrina, the end of summer kinda sucks now, doesn't it?

Well, we've donated $$$ to several charities, and we are buying a brand new flag to fly on our new home, that should be out tomorrow. I feel so helpless, but that's all we can do, I guess.

It's my grandparents' anniversary and the day our wedding announcement will finally be in the paper...Strange timing.

It does seem both recent and long ago.
I was hoping CBS would repeat the documentary done by the two brothers on the new firefighter. I was hoping they would update it again.

Still can't look at the downtown skyline without a sense of real sadness.

Seems like yesterday and a lifetime ago, all in the same instant. I hope all the families who were so personally affected have managed to somehow find peace.............

I really can't believe 4 years have passed. It really seems like just yesterday. I'll be spending the day hiding out in the dorm room, typing a paper, and trying to hide the tears and sadness.

4 years - wow. I guess we should all be thankful that nothing else has happened here since then.

Lots of good documentaries on 9/11 on Sunday too. One that I plan to watch is on Discovery Channel about Flight 93.

Hard to think of it as just four years. Feels like its been forever. But in the same way, it feels like it was just this morning. I want to see the discovery channel documentary about flight 93.
