thinking of buying but have a few questions

I am thinking of purchasing a DVC resale but I was wondering something. If I purchase a resale do we need to have all of the points available when we make the reservation or can they be available when we arrive? for example: the resale we are looking @ has 121 pts available 10-1-05. We are wanting to go the week of 10-9-05. Can we make a ressie now using all 121 pts or do we have to wait until after 10-1-05? Thanks for your help.

You could make the reservation now. The points you would receive on 10/1/2005 are good for stays between 10/1/2005 and 9/30/2006. You just need to have points in your account that will be valid for the dates of your stay and you willl (assuming you buy and close on the resale contract, of course, LOL).

You can always make a reservation fort your home resort 11 months ahead of check out and 7 months ahead of check out if you are reserving a non-resort stay.
