We have 200 points at BCV. This isn't enough for us...we need more Disney than that provides. :thumbsup2 So, we are considering more points. I called my guide and he placed us on the BCV waiting list for 150 points. The price right now is $92/point. No incentives when adding on to BCV. But, if we buy into Saratoga, cost is $90/point and incentive also provides 2 AP's.
We currently have a Feb UY. If we were to ask for a UY of May or June, would we get the 2005 points? Does Disney do this?

You could purchase a different UY, but you would have to purchase the minimum 150 points. Since that is what you are waitlisted for, you can request a different UY. I would also recommend breaking that add-on in two and making it 2-75 point contracts. After my initial buy-in, I kept all my add-ons smaller than 100 points. Easier to will, sell, downsize.

If BCV is the only DVC you want to stay at, then purchase your add-on there.
We own BCV and prefer it for our summer trips, but for other times, we like to stay at the other DVC's.

We use banking and borrowing for our BCV trips and then use our SSR points to stay at SSR in the fall/winter.

But again, if BCV is the only resort you will want to stay at, then add on there.

So far, we have only stayed at BCV. My DH and I can go either way--either Saratoga or BCV. If we bought today and went with Saratoga, can we designate our UY? If so, if it is in the future...ie past April, would we get 2005 points in addition to the upcoming 2006 points?

Yes if you purchase a UY that has not occurred yet, you should receive 2005 points.

This is what I did with our add-on. I added 150 points at SSR with a Sept UY and received 2 sets of points.

We now have March and Sept UY's. The biggest pain for me, is waitlisting and forgetting to waitlist for both UY's. If you only waitlist for one UY then if the waitlist comes up, you can only use the points from the UY you waitlisted from. Not a really big deal with transferring, etc. but it is one of the few times your contracts can't be co-mingled.

With the current price and incentives and the extra 12 years, I would take a hard look at SSR, especially if you see yourselves wanting to stay there.

We really like it at SSR and when you can't get BCV, you can use your SSR points to stay at SSR and bank your BCV points, instead of using BCV points to stay at SSR.
