Thinking about visiting Orlando the week BEFORE Xmas....Am I crazy?

Thinking about visiting Orlando the week before Christmas....Dec 18th to 25th or so (we're flexible by a day or two). I've heard that the week between Christmas and New Years is mobbed, and that's just not our style....fighting all those crowds. Is the week I'm thinking about visiting any better? Would love to hear some advise from some seasoned Disney travellers. Thanks in advance!!!

You can't go wrong with those dates! Make sure and check the dates for MVMCP, too.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It's a separately ticketed event at night - there's several threads about it and a lot of info on the main information site here.

Those dates are actually perfect. The weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas are very uncrowded and the rates at the resorts are at their lowest. We've been twice at that time of year - one year 2 weeks before and one year 2 week before and it's very uncrowded and pleasant.
