Thinking about renting points...

We may be going with our neighbors to Disney in December of 2005 they own the DVC and we don't They usually stay at the Beach Club Villas and we would also like to check it out. I am having a hard time figuring out how many points we would need though for the trip.

The dates that I am figuring we will go will be December 3, 2005 to December 11, 2005. We would stay in a Studio - do I need 104 points or more?

I'm getting 116 points for that stay. There is a link to a point calculator at the top of this page. Enter the travel dates and select the resort and room type.

Note that you'll probably have to find an owner at BCV from which to rent the points, and you'll want to be ready to make that reservation ON 1/12/05. December can be a VERY tough time to book.

I'd say you have started planning at the right time. TJKraz is right in his assertion that this is a tough time to book, and that you will want to have the BCV member get the ressie day-by-day to ensure you get what you want.

But then, perhaps your friends are DVC members, and you can have rented BCV points deposited to their DVC account. Then they make the reservation, you pay for the points and get rooms near each other perhaps.
