thinking about purchasing cricut

i only have the little bug. you have done some really nice pieces.

i also made my little man a clipboard, and you're right. everyone commented on it. we did the breakfast in norway and it was a big hit. and then we did dinner one night at the LTT and goofy actually signed the board itself because it had a big pic of goofy on it!

hmmm maybe I am doing something wrong LOL. I got my cricut for x-mas and I already "killed a mat" or so I thought and I have only been using it maybe 2 1/2 weeks. I did use scrapper everytime and I used wipes maybe twice. I need to ramp this up it sounds like?? I am pretty sure I got the 40 or so cuts the ads say that you will get out of one mat hmmm...... those of you that say you rotate your mat... you really think this extends thier lifespan.... why do you think it does that.

BAMB any chance you have a link to the turning the old mat into somethign else.... I thought I'd just be able to throw it out.... nope such a hoarder when something has recycle potenial

what a good idea! just another reason to want that bind it all! something else for my wish list!!!

My mat from the big one is wasted already. And I've not used more than 12 sheets of paper on it.

I've gone thru two blades. Have had my cricut since December 2006.

Mats on the other hand, I go thru often. If I don't have four in reserves I get a little nervous. Any time I have a 50% coupon, I buy a package of mats.

Hey Buffy, how about using the cut up mats for the little albums Beth gave us the instructions for? We said we would do those in February or March? Off to get a mat out of my trash box in the scrapbooking room...................

If I were to get a Cricut now, I would get the Expressions, only the little cricut was out when I got mine, but I do love its small size.

I've started just taping my paper to my mat. There is enough sticky to hold thin PP, but the Bazzill wants to dance, and I waste a lot. Especially, with detailed cuts. So I just use a little masking tape on the sides.

I think I am on my 4th blade since I got it in the fall, but I've been cutting Bling with it, and that tends to destroy the blade really quick.

I use Zig 2-way glue on my mats - rub it all over the mat, let it dry REALLY well, and it sticks good as new, and lasts about as long again. You can keep doing this over and over again. I have been using the same two mats for many months!!!

***disclaimer: Provo Craft claims this can void your warranty - IF you tell them about it. It's never done anything bad to my bug and lots of people on the Cricut MB do it and nobody has ever said they've had a problem.

thank you. Cinderella's are both 11.5 inches. The eyes on the full body girl aren't nearly as pretty.

my mom did Snow White and the prince at 9 or 10 inches and her eyes are freaky! I wish I knew a good way to do them.
