1. What do people think the crowds will be like? And at what times?

2. Anyone have a list of what rides/attractions will be open/closed on that day?

3. Are there any special events, parades, etc planned for that day because it's "special"?

4. Are the Disney hotels more or less expensive for those days? Any places to get good deals for that day?

5. Do the park hopper tickets work all the way through from 6AM to 6AM.... for example, if I enter DL at 8AM (Feb 29th) and leave DL at 1AM (on March 1st) and head over to DCA at 2AM my tickets will still work even though it's now technically March 1st, right?

6. Any other advice or cool things I don't know about this day?

I saw posted on another site that they are planning to do Fantasmic at 1am

Someone posted there will be fireworks and they might do a nightime parade and then fantasmic and have special merchandise in the evening

The prices seem high now, the cheaper rooms sold out. You could try the cheaper hotels across the street.

I don't know, I would assume so.

My son and I are flying down that day from Seattle and there isn't alot of info out there. I found out the stuff I posted from another site.Ethan

Hope this helps.

On the FB page for AP holders one guy said that this event was HUGE and that people will be camping out 2 days before to enter. I think thats a bit extreme but am I wrong in my thoughts? I mean if its popular i can see them closing the gates but not at 6am.

Here is something that somebody posted about open restaurants/carts for that day...

If you call Disney Dining they can give you the closing time of all the food locations that day. Someone posted a list on another board and I asked to confirm when I called for my Blue Bayou ressie. Here is the list I found:

Plaza Inn to 2am
Little Red Corn Dog cart to 3am
The Bengal BBQ to 3am
The French Market to be open until 3:30am
River Belle Terrace to 5am
Golden Horseshoe to 5am
Village Haus to 5:30am
Jolly Holiday Bakery and Cafe to 6am
Tomorrowland Terrance to 6am

Hope this helps.

I think that guy will be very lonely.

True Disneyland fans will attend, assuming they can get off work, or skip school. That's not an option for everyone and only for a few.

You just have to remember on any given day, when you are in the parks with tens of thousands of other people, only hundreds breath eat and live Disneyland. Those hundreds are the the Superfans that will try to attend an event like this.

I would guess that it will only be truely busy from 5pm to 10pm.

:rotfl2: I thought that sounded ridiculous, thats why i had to post the question here

We are going! Ethan just booked it and, you know what's even cooler? It's my birthday on the 28th! So look for me wearing a hot pink t-shirt that says "I survived the Nisqually earthquake Feb. 28th, 2001" (only locals will get the joke but I wear it every year).

Yay Disneyland Leap Year Birthday Party!!!!

I will look for you! I survived that quake as well. My 5yr old son and I are having shirts made that are going to have mickey and minnie pirates and then on the back something about One More Disney Day Feb 29, 2012. So if you see us say Hi. We fly down that day and back on the 3rd.

I don't think there will be fireworks. Doesn't DLR have some sort of agreement with the city about fireworks on most weeknights?

But they haven't confirmed a lot of things yet. I heard most of it is still up in the air.

We're actually leaving the kids home for this one.... we just did a two week stay at WDW less than 2 weeks ago so we're leaving the kids with the grandparents and doing the One More Disney Day until 6AM (or as late as we can stay up) with just us. Finally get to do some grown up rides, even if it's just for a day!

1. i think it'll be busy from whenever kids get out of school/people get home from work until 1:30-2am (after the end of Fantasmic!) It is a Wednesday and not a holiday of any sort. So I think the normal person would have work/school/daily life that would keep them from coming.

2. Attractions..not yet. MK has some of theirs out and I think some might translate over. Jungle Cruise is the only one I can think of right now.

3.They're planning to bring back Fantasmic early for a 1am showing. I think they're trying to do fireworks, but an agreement with the neighborhood might effect that.

4. They looked expensive to me, but PP was the cheapest at $170 when I booked my hotel a couple weeks ago. I ended up booking BWPPI for $100, but it appears to be sold out on Orbitz now.

5. Your ticket will work until 6am, but since DCA closes at 8 (with WoC at 8:15) you won't need to park hop after that. (WDW doing the same sort of thing with just MK open after 9pm) It's a lot to staff to keep 2 parks open for 24 hours. I couldn't imagine that would ever happen.

6: They are supposed to be meet and greets all though out the day and night. So that could be fun, and special merchandise.
