Think my OKW waitlist will come through Jan 1 and 2?

We found a great fare on AA and took the plunge. We are going home to OKW Jan 1, coming back the 6th. We have a family member who is going to be down there during that week.

Jan 1 and 2 were waitlisted, which is to be expected, I guess. So we booked a couple nights at POR at about $130? a night, just in case. Any opinions on what our chance might be for OKW to clear?

There is always a chance- However it appears to be very tight this year until Jan 3- There are a lot of people staying 12/29- 1/3. I called for a friend of mine who wanted to join us and there was told nothing was open at any of the resorts until the 3rd. Good Luck! Be sure to call and be on the 7 day wait list and then call day by day.

I was waitlisted for Jan. 1-4. Last week Jan. 2, 3 and 4 opened up. I'm stiil holding out for the 1st, but I do have ressies at the ASM. Hopefully I won't need them. Good Luck!!

My waitlist was also for OKW.

I just posted a waitlist question for December 7th.... and someone replied that the 30 day mark is the important one.... coz points would then go into a holding account, so most people will make their final desisions 31 days out. (I hope)

Yes! It is always good to have a back up plan! I took the plunge and booked two 2 bedrooms at OKW (what we are waitlisted for) for CASH! UGH.

But with our troup, which includes 80 YO Grandpop and an 11 year old child with Downs..... better to pay the big bucks and not change rooms, than head to ASR the first night. ::::::: sigh ::::::::

Not that it helps you but I had a WL come in for December 11th in a one bedroom come in under a day. woo hooo. I think you should be ok, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I called on Thursday last week to make the reservation (OKW) and was put on the waitlist. I got the call Friday that it came through. Waitlist at it's best.
