Could anyone please tell us what there is to do on a night when not going to the parks there would be 3 adults and 4 children Thanks

Chill!!!! Seriously by the time you've been to the parks all day,had your dinner, all you want to do is chill out & watch some TV!! Disney Quest is an option,Down town Disney,Citywalk, loads of "crazy" golf places,Cinema, I also think there is a big fair out on 192 but don't know for certain as we've never stayed up that end.
SD :paw:

Old town is OK
they have car shows some nights
My boys love it

Here's a few suggestions:

You could have a stroll around the Boardwalk,
Hire a Surrey Bike and ride around the Epcot resort lake,
Play mini golf at Fantasia Gardens (near the Swan/Dolphin hotels)
Resort hop and take a look at some of the other WDW resorts and perhaps have a nice meal at one,

Ugh-don't bother with Old Town on 192-imagine a less classy version of Blackpool.....

We tend to go to downtown disney, or to the premium outlet mall.

When chilling we tend to sit at the pool bar, we stay on site and the kids are still in the pool after 8pm (in the summer that is).

Crazy golf is an option.

DisneyQuest is good too, or Pleasure Island has some shops, but more importantly bars.

You've got plenty of choices - Old Town have car shows on Friday and Saturday, the Saturday Night Cruise is the best if you love old cars. Pleasure Island has clubs if you fancy an adult only night out. There's mini golf, shopping at Downtown Disney and you've also got the evening firework shows at Magic Kingdom and Epcot, as well as Fantasmic at MGM Studios. You can always go to the movies at Downtown Disney, there is a huge AMC cinema there.

Disagree - we like Old Town, I live near Blackpool too so can distinguish the 2 quite clearly!

If you visit OT on a friday/saturday night it's worthwhile, it's not to everyone's liking but do not be put off until you have tried it.

The problem we have is our son is too tired to go out in the evenings, hence we are looking at DVC where we will have entertainment available.
It's much easier if there are things to do on-site, Disney's Boardwalk being the best example.

The Boardwalk, Pleasure Island/Disney Marketplace, shopping whether at a mall or the outlet stores are all ok for an evening out.

Dixie Stampede is good, als at pleasure Island they let choldren in at the Adverntures club, but I would go early rather than later and you haven't given us the ages. There are also several places to play mini golf, there are some cinemas and the shops are open late. However, I suspect you will be tired after the parks and eating and will not have as much time or energy as you think for the evenings.

Take a trip to Boardwalk. Lovely resort to go to at night for a stroll and you can see the Epcot fireworks in the distance, hire some bikes and watch the side shows. Also def. for us DTD . just love the asmosphere although it can get busy from 8 onwards. Cirque du Soleil is also worht seeing but depends on your budget as it can work out expensive depending how many are travelling. We went for the first time this year (have always wanted to go but didn't have the extra money) and it was awesome

Mini golf or shopping if we were not in a park on an evening.

What kind of entertainment is there with DVC

hot tub at ssr with a few beers

My teenage boys enjoyed SSR's Community Hall in the early evening, its Play Stations and Table Football for free were a hit. Follow that with one or two free games of pool in the SSR Turf Club before a walk over to the Marketplace where they pretend they are not too old to play with the Lego outside the Lego Shop. Don't know if the guitar shop is still open over at DTD, but that is worth a browse if you have boys of the right age. If your kids are younger -- small poppets can have a nice bop in the open air to a dj down at the Marketplace.

Elsewhere, there are the joys of late night swimming (I think 1am is our latest after a long evening in the parks); or finding a beach at one of the Bay lake hotels to watch Wishes fireworks or the Electric Light Pageant; or riding a Surrey bike on a cooler evening (but remember not to try this after a heavy meal if there are any up-hill stretches...)

On a sunday night when the shops shut early we would go and watch a film at universal city walk.Or just chill with a beer or two.

There is entertainment at Disney's Boardwalk resort. All their resorts are different but the BW offers plenty to do:

Atlantic Dance Hall
Enjoy the state-of-the-art sights and sounds at this vibrant nightclub.

Jellyrolls
Party down at this lively dueling piano bar with audience sing-alongs and rousing good times.

Midway Games
Test your skill and luck at classic boardwalk games such as "Cat Rack" and "Tin Can Knock Down" at Wildwood Landing.

Luna Park
Take a ride down the 200-foot long Keister Coaster water slide or enjoy a leisurely swim.

Muscles & Bustles Health Club
Work out on state-of-the-art exercise equipment, or book a rejuvenating massage treatment.

Arcades
Play a variety of video games at Side Show Games near Luna Park or at The Yard at the ESPN Club.

Children's Playground
Climb, slide and play to your heart's content in this playground located adjacent to Luna Park.

Watercraft and Bike Rentals
Spend an idyllic afternoon on the lake with a variety of boats to choose from, or take a leisurely bike ride along the boardwalk.

IllumiNations Cruise
Savor spectacular views of the stunning fireworks show, IllumiNations at Epcot®, from a pontoon boat.

Fishing Excursions
Hook a fun-filled catch-and-release fishing trip for the entire family.

Recreational Sports
Take to the courts or the trails with some friendly competition. Whether your game is tennis, table tennis, foosball or just going for a jog around scenic Crescent Lake, you'll work up a good sweat. (Tennis equipment is not available for rent.)

Sandcastle Club
Treat children ages 4-12 to an evening of supervised activities, computer games, Disney movies, dinner and snacks in an environment created just for them.

Rainy Day Program
Stay dry and enjoy Disney movies, popcorn, crafts, games and more.

Shopping

Screen Door General Store
Shop at this quaint general store for all your dry goods, grocery and sundry needs.

Dundy's Sundries
Stop by for film, gifts, souvenirs and more.

BoardWalk Character Carnival
Stroll into this shop featuring "Housewares and Mousewares since 1996." Choose from a vast array of adult sport and golf apparel and accessories, plus Disney Character merchandise for all ages.

Thimbles & Threads
Get into the swim of things at this beachwear shop. This fine clothier offers "Furnishing for Ladies and Gents" as well as apparel for children and infants.

Completely agree. Anywhere that features "attractions" based on the electric chair is not, in my opinion, suitable for family entertainment. I used to love Old Town but now find it repulsive.
