Things to do at the Atlanta Airport?

I made my flight arragements early this morning. Was not paying attention. Our return flight has a 4 hour layover at the Atlanta airport.

Is there anything there to do while we wait for our plane?

A friend of mine had a layover in Atlanta on her way back form Orlando. She says it's a very nice airport with shopping and plenty of places to eat. There are lounges for smoking as well. The only thing she said to be careful about is to give yourself time to move from one concourse to another because this is a big airport and it could be a 10-15 minute walk.

I agree that Atlanta isn't a bad airport to have a layover at. There is a lot of shopping. I haven't been there since 9/11, but I do think that to get to most of the shopping, you'll have to clear security again after you're done, so remember to allow enough time to get back through when you're done.

I agree Atlanta is a pretty snazzy airport(probably got a boost when olympics where in town). And it is HUGE! I had a stopover due to cancelled flight, then a new flight and was put in a hotel in Atlanta(Or as we called it, Hotlanta!). Getting from the terminal where we got off the plane to the main terminal was quite a hike! I dont remember if they had some sort of mass-transportation(like monorail in Orlando airport) but if you do see something, take advantage of it.
