Things to do at Grand Californian

Hi Everyone!

We are staying most of our trip at the Hojo but wanted to splurge and try one night at the GCH. We will have until 1:00 pm or so before leaving for the airport...anything fun we should see or do at the hotel before we leave? Thanks!

If you have kids they might enjoy the cool water slide they have in their pool area. They also recently opened up a day spa there if you want to get pampered Next to the pool area they have a place called White Water Snacks. You can grab some snacks (they have assorted drinks and snacks you just grab and pay for) and they also have burgers, hot dogs, nachos, pizza, etc. The food is actually pretty good and the cost is pretty good as well.

They also have a character breakfast at Storyteller's Cafe.

Do you have to be a guest at the GCH to eat at the white water snacks place? we will be staying at the DH, but would like to wander over there for lunch one afternoon

No, you don't have to be a guest. They have a nice menu (my husband loves the grilled chicken sandwich). They also sell refillable mugs for around $8 that are good for any soda, hot chocolate, coffee, tea (pretty much any drink but the icee machine). We usually 'escape' from DCA to Whitewater snacks for lunch on our day trips. There is usually no line and there is indoor and outdoor seating.

Didn't GCH have a game room before with all kinds of game machines? I thought it was down next to the spa ...
