BREASTFEEDING in public!! :sad2:

What is so disgusting about that? As long as a mother is covering up her breast with something it should not be a problem? Would you have her go to a restroom and do it? I know there are baby care centers in WDW, but what if the mother doesn't know about them or prefers (or even has to because the baby is very hungry at that moment) feed right there?

How about you use a bottle while in public :confused3

Some babies don't use bottles. All three of my children would not use a bottle. There should be nothing gross about breastfeeding in public. I have done in hundreds of times and covered up and most people were none the wiser!

Wrong argument to bring here! Good luck!

As long as I don't have to see it. YUCK!
puke.gif

I don't have a problem I was just offering a option! As long as they aren't doing it whil on Big Thunder Mountain I am fine with it :flower3:

Not every child is on formula. And not everyone wants to walk with a cooler with advance prepared milk. Moreover, if you breastfeed you need to get rid of your milk, it is painful to have full breast the whole day. As long as mom is not naked, it is totally fine to breastfeed in public, moreover she is protected by law.

I am not against it the bottle is just another option I am all for breast feeding :flower3:

Not all babies will feed from bottles. The breast has to be emptied in order to keep producing milk. Babies and mothers are protected by law as someone else mentioned. Wrong argument, brought up by ignorance.

I'm grossed out by people who think there is something wrong with breastfeeding. Ignorance is so unattractive.

I am grossed out by people who don't read the whole thread.

Ok no more talk about breast feeding!!!!!!! Every time i start this topic on any of these boards this comes up no more please!

Sorry I thought you were calling me a troll :confused3

How about little kids that lick the hand rails

As a parent of a child who did this when she was 3 yo, I have to agree.:sick:

We were standing in line at the safari in AK. I looked down and she was licking the rail. :headache: It made me sick to my stomach. But she didn't get sick, and I was hypervigilent the rest of the trip making sure she didn't do that. She used to get sick all the time when she was an infant and toddler, now she is hardly ever sick. Maybe it's due to licking handrails.

lol I would love to be able to see what goes on in young kids minds sometimes.

My children would never take a bottle, they acted like I was putting garbage in their mouths. It just isn't the same.
I think breastfeeding can be done in public if you have a light blanket to cover up a little. I can't believe this bothers people more than poop diapers and coughing on people:confused3

That would be when you have to break out the soap and wash her mouth out! :lmao:

Ignoring the TROLL.....

I once saw someone, at a water park, with and obviously infected eyebrow piercing. It was red, swollen, puss filled, and gross. I almost got sick:sick:

Now just because some disagrees with you doesn't mean they are ignorant.
Personally don't think there's need for name calling because some disagrees with the something.
(surely you don't agree with every law do you?)
Yes it's the law, and yes it's natural.
But alot of things the human body does is natural and people should be discrete about.
You certainly don't want everyone to just expose all natural body functions in public do you? :lmao:

I have to agree that I'd rather not watch breastfeeding.
Now I have no problem with women who do it discreetly by putting a towel over themselfs or the childs head. (which most women I've notice do do)
It's the woman who just hang themselfs out there fully exposed.
Most women wouldn't walk around topless at Disney so how does having a child hanging on you make that any different?
To me it just as much as respect for others as much as right to do it.

That said, my disney gross out would be people who let their kids pee in the bushes or sidewalks.
Knowing this makes it hard for me to even stop and smell a flower at Disney. Just makes me wonder how many kids/people have peed on it.

People sampling the items in a buffet line instead of putting some on their plate, and trying it at their table.
I really don't want to handle the tongs after you slobber all over them with your wet fingers thanks.

Seen this more than once...kids digging up thier nose and eating it or touching the handrails afterwards. That's why I try not to touch handrails.

I really can't recall one time in my entire life that I have seen a TOPLESS woman, totally exposed, breastfeeding anywhere. Never, ever seen it.
HOWEVER, if a basically topless hot chick in a micro bikini top is walking around the parks or a pool no man would object to that! That is what bugs me about the whole issue. Porn is great, by most American standards, but breastfeeding is yukky:confused3

This is a bad job by th CM as a CM I can tell you he should not have been allowed entry to a water park.

People eating in the restroom! I can't tell you how many times I have been in the restroom and someone is eating icecream or popcorn. It just gives me the creeps. People think about what others are doing in the near vacinity! Eww.

Exactly. Bottom line--double standards.
The crazy part is--when you are breastfeeding, you are actually FEEDING ANOTHER HUMAN BEING! My daughter wouldn't take a bottle either, and honestly, I think people would rather see a tiny bit of ****age and the side of a baby's head than listen to her scream from hunger!

And people wonder why those from other countries think we're so judgemental and closed minded. :confused3

These gross-outs are not Disney specific, they're disgusting everywhere!

Public bathroom sinks with hairs sitting on the counter in a puddle of water. (If I'm somewhere and I see this and it's the only sink I leave the bathroom and use purell instead)

Hairs on the floor/ground at a pool/hot tub area or shower/tub. *gag*

The water areas like the (old) Pooh playground and the fountains in the ground where kids splash around in... I do NOT let my kids walk barefoot in them, they put on flip flops. Aside from fungus, there are likely hairs on the ground too. (dd doesn't walk to the YMCA pool from the locker room barefoot for this reason, she wears flip flops)

Sensing a theme here??? I HATE hairs and even when I wash my own hair and inevitably one or two strands are stuck on my fingers it grosses me out big time! :crazy2::crazy2::crazy2:

Disney-specific:

Turkey Legs - I've never eaten one, so I don't know if they are tasty or not (they probably are!) but what grosses me out is when people walk around gnawing on them like they would a mickey head ice cream!! Dudes, pull up a bench and eat it there!

"The" monorail funk - You either know the smell I'm talking about, or you don't. Apparently some people just don't smell it :confused3

Handrails of any kind - I avoid touching them at all costs, and if I do touch one I try to not touch my face until I've purelled or washed my hands. I taught the kids the same thing. Years of riding the subway to and from work has taught me how nasty handrails really are... Handrails are one of the germiest surfaces - even moreso than a toilet stall handle!!
