THEY'RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT! A tale from 2 cities!! THE END! pg 32

Awesome update! :)

Thank you!

Loved your update. I really liked the circus area too. We didn't see the meet and greet part though. :( I love Donald. The Big Top shop was great, we stayed in there a long time.

Your puppy is cute. How big do you think she will get?

Thank you! Aw you need to check out the meet and greet next time!

Thank you! If she is a full schnauser she will get to be about 30 pounds but then again if she isn't who knows :rotfl:

Just to let you know the job search is over! I am going to be working at the childcare center on post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

Great update! It's been awhile since we rode Dumbo but we may have to give it another go.

Congrats on the new job!

Geez. I've been so busy the last few weeks... but I've finally got some time to catch up.

Hi All! Time for another update!

Well it's about ti..... ummm.... nevermind.

When Caitlin left off we were back at the hotel for our first sleep at the Art of Animation Resort.....

What? You're gonna start this chapter by going to sleep???

whoa. Way to keep the readers engaged!

:rotfl:

After a good night's sleep we were up early to begin our day! (honestly who can sleep in when New Fantasyland is calling your name?!)

Especially when it's in a really creepy voice.

<shudder>

oooh.... scary boo.

This was their "bounty platter" and more food than I could possibly eat but since we were on the dining plan I was trying to get the biggest bang for my buck.

I hear ya. We had free dining last time we went.
We walked 400 miles and I gained 5 lbs!

We both had to stand and I had someone's little darling intentionally kicking me the entire time.

<sigh> I wish parents would learn how to parent.

Before we knew it some old friends appeared to say "Good Morning"

They were soon joined by even more old friends

and yet... they don't look older.

Hey look! No crane!

The queue and the ride are both amazing! They truly feel like you've stepped into the movie!

Great pictures! Looking forward to seeing it some day.

Go on and kiss the girl!

I can't! She just got married. Besides, my DW would probably smack me.

The "brew" tastes sort of like extra sweet, frozen apple juice. We ended up sharing one and enjoyed it but I think it would be much to sweet to drink a whole one yourself.

But I'll still have to try it.

Cute pic. :thumbsup2

As you can see, Gaston's is really cool! I think it's great Disney put so much detail into just a little counter service place!

::yes::

When we left Gaston's we were headed to another area which was also new to Caitlin. I will let her tell you about that, next time.

Well... okay. But I better not have to wait long!

Thanks for reading!

Thanks for posting! :goodvibes

Time for another update!

:cool1:

I thought I would post one today because I have been super busy again

I hear ya... I hear ya!

I am still job hunting

No yer not! :lmao:

awww. cute pup.

The woman said she thought she was a miniature schnauser but after taking her to the vet to have her treated for a tape worm we are thinking she won't be so mini. 13 pounds at 4 months :headache:

uh, oh!

Also this week Andrew and I will be going to New Orleans for a little getaway so I am very excited for that :thumbsup2

N'Awlins is on my bucket list.

Some day.

On our way over we passed the Tea Cups and that was when I realized they had changed the construction walls to fit with the rides near each area

That's Disney, right there, right?

I also got a construction photo

Cool. Any idea what that's going to be? Looks like the mine train?

I had to hit up the new Dumbo!

Does Andrew know that you're hitting on strange elephants?

I, of course being the grown up 22 year old, had to check out the play area

I doubt that.

Now if you'd said, "I, of course being the grown up 22 year old, had to go play in the play area." That I would've believed.

The wait was a little long but not bad the only thing I didn't like was the family in front of me. The little boy kept grabbing my purse or my leg and the family really didn't seem to care. I did though! I kindly stepped away and tried keeping my distance!

Geez! I just posted this about the last chapter... Why don't parents learn how to parent! :headache:

D'oh! It wasn't until this photo that I even noticed the water! I was too busy looking up at the storks, etc. :sad2:

I would actually take one of each

You'll have to fight me for 'em!

Not really much of a sweets person but now that I cant eat a majority of sweets I have a sweet tooth

Figures!

Mom had made me an autograph book with pictures of me and the characters in them from past trips.

That's a nice souvenir. :thumbsup2

then when we he saw Darth Vadar he did the force chokehold on me.

Did you pretend to choke?

Well Goofy decided that since Andrew wasn't there and he was he would be my husband :rotfl:

Since Mom felt bad cheating on dad like that I had to kiss him

But I see you had no reservations!

I will leave you at the boat dock for now and Mom can fill you in next time!

okay. Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes

Just to let you know the job search is over! I am going to be working at the childcare center on post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

Congrats!

:cool1:

I hear ya... I hear ya!
Yeah it's been a rough transition but I am slowly getting through it :thumbsup2

No yer not! :lmao:

awww. cute pup.

Looks can be deceiving turns out she is a little imp!

uh, oh!

N'Awlins is on my bucket list.

Some day.

It is such a great city! Unfortunately Andrew couldn't get the days off so we are going to Sherveport instead!

That's Disney, right there, right?

No detail too small to be taken care of!

Cool. Any idea what that's going to be? Looks like the mine train?

yep that is the mine train!

Does Andrew know that you're hitting on strange elephants?

No he doesn't mind he is used to me hitting on pachyderms.

I doubt that.

Now if you'd said, "I, of course being the grown up 22 year old, had to go play in the play area." That I would've believed.

I wanted to!

Geez! I just posted this about the last chapter... Why don't parents learn how to parent! :headache:

D'oh! It wasn't until this photo that I even noticed the water! I was too busy looking up at the storks, etc. :sad2:

So much to look at!

You'll have to fight me for 'em!

Figures!

That's a nice souvenir. :thumbsup2

Did you pretend to choke?

Of course!

But I see you had no reservations!

Nope not at all! I mean I am going to be with the same guy for the rest of my life when the chance arises to need to kiss another guy I might as well take it :rolleyes1

okay. Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes

Congrats!
Thank you!

Just to let you know the job search is over! I am going to be working at the childcare center on post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:
Thank you! I am really looking forward to it!

Congrats on the new addition to the family AND the new job!!! Lots of exciting changes in your life! When do you start at the childcare center?

What great pictures of the Storybook Circus area. The colors are just so captivating in that area!

Also a really neat shot of the Mine Train construction site.

I have never been on the Dumbo ride!!!

I loved your description of your meet and greets. I love when the characters are really engaged, and it seems like they were really impressed with your photo/signature book. That is great the way that Goofy used it for inspiration.

Hmmm. Where to next?

Congratulations on your job! :cool1: What age will you be working with?

Thank you! I am not sure yet I will find out more on Tuesday.

I start pre processing on Tuesday then after I get everything taken care of I will find out.

Thank you!

You need to go on Dumbo!

Thank you! It was a very fun meet!

Time for another update! In 43 days I will be in DL with my family I can't wait!

I last left you at the boat dock but we didn't take a boat. We took the monorail!!! Because we were headed here

Love that topiary and the movie!

After stepping off the monorail we headed inside for our destination but got sidetracked by the topiaries

Ahh EPCOT

I love the Flower and Garden Festival! It is such a beautiful and festive time!

Our first stop was to get Fast Passes for the new Test Track!

We loved the old one and couldn't wait to see how the new one held up!

Then continued on to our destination but passed through Radiator Springs

This was a very cute area!

We also passed the Lion King family

and our pals Mike and Sully

Along with some other monsters

We spotted our first food booth

We tried out a lot of stuff later on in the trip :thumbsup2

Then we finally made it to Mexico! Today was Cinco De Mayo so I needed to have a margarita and some nachos!

Nachos - corn tortilla chips with ground beef, nacho cheese, fresh tomatoes, jalapenos, black beans, and sour cream.

Paletas - traditional fruit popsicles coconut

and a Margarita

This meal was soo good! I can't eat tortilla chips from most restaurants now so being able to have nachos this good was a treat! Plus who doesn't like Margaritas?! We ended up sitting inside La Hacienda so it was nice and air conditioned!

After my amazing meal we headed inside

I see others were inspired by Cinco De Mayo

Longest line I have ever seen there!

We went to visit some of our feathered friends

Just looking at these pictures I can smell the pavilion :lmao:

The It's a Small World part

I love that pinata and was tempted to buy one when they sold them

Poor Donald

After finding Donald ( he was in line at the Cave as well) we headed outside.

It was pretty busy around here! We stumbled upon the marachi band

The music was good and it was fun watching people get pulled up to dance with them or have songs sung to them.

Plus the view behind them was gorgeous!

That couple was celebrating their anniversary so they sang a love song for them.

Eventually we moved on making our way to Norway

When in Norway you must ride

Who knows when you will see this listed as a 5 minute wait again?! :rotfl2:

I feel like this mural may need an update

Once on the ride we dared to go back to the time of Vikings

We chilled out with some trolls

After pillaging and plundering with the Vikings it was back out into that bright Florida sunshine

I feel like this may be the creepiest topiary ever yet they bring it back year after year :confused3

These on the other hand and extremely cute!

One new aspect to the festival was near all the food booths they had growing stations that included all of the vegetables and stuff you could try at the booths

Further into China we journeyed

I messed around with camera settings

I think those turned out pretty cool if I do say so myself

I like how happy this guy looks while everyone else is being serious

I took a picture of one of the Foo dogs for Andrew since he has a tattoo of one on his arm

We also ducked into the shop. On this trip I was trying to explore more of the Epcot pavilions and take in everything that I could.

Next up was Germany

Whenever I see this area I can't help but think of Full House!

Saw the annual Snow White topiary

It sort of looks like dwarves are trying to creep up on her :rotfl:

Then more pretty flowers

Took some pics in America

Japan

Today was their "Kid's Day" hence all of the banners

I also stopped at my first food booth!

Frushi (Fresh strawberries, pineapple and cantaloupe rolled with coconut rice, atop a raspberry sauce sprinkled with toasted coconut and whipped cream)

This was very good!!!! I really enjoyed the flavors!

From our resting spot we could see the bonsai trees

After a bit of a break we headed to Morocco

This has to be one of the most photogenic pavilions

I forgot to mention that on this day mom and I decided to get a Duffy and a Perry to have signed around the world. Here at the kid stop I was hit on by the Moroccan men manning it. They were pretty cute :thumbsup2

Even the construction walls had flowers!

I believe we all need a rest from our jaunt around the world so I will leave you with this view

Where are we headed next?

Your shots from the monorail turned out really good. You seemed to avoid getting the glare from the windows that I always get.
The flowers are so beautiful. I am going to have to get there again for the flower festival.
I love taking my time going through the countries. There are so many little details to see and it's so peaceful when you get back into them away from the front.

Those nachos look so delicious. I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't eat tortilla chips anymore, so I'm glad you found some you could eat. I can't believe the line for La Cava was longer than the line for Malestrom. I guess everyone really was in the holiday spirit. :rotfl:

Those picture of the ceiling in China look really awesome.

Can't wait to hear more!

In 43 days I will be in DL with my family I can't wait!

I don't remember... will that be your first time in DL?

After stepping off the monorail we headed inside for our destination but got sidetracked by the topiaries

yeah... they do that.

Topiary: "Hey! Hey you!"
pkondz: "Who, me?"
Topiary: "Yeah, you. c'm 'ere!"
pkondz: "Uh... I'd love to, but I gotta plane to catch."
Topiary: "Don't worry about it. Ya got plenty of time. C'mon! Just for a sec."
pkondz: "Welllll....."
Topiary: "Just for a second. Trust me, you won't regret it."
pkondz: "I dunno.... I'm running kinda late as it is..."
Topiary: "It'll be okay. I'll make it worth your while."
pkondz: "Well, all right. Just for a second, though."
Topiary: "Sure, sure. Just look at those flowers. Nice, huh?"
pkondz: "Uh, huh. Yup, very nice."
Topiary: "And those ones over there. See how they make a nice contrast with these ones?"
pkondz: "Huh! I never noticed that. Very nice indeed."
Topiary: "And the smell did you compare smells?"
pkondz: "Hey! These are nice! And those ones are even.... Dang it!! I missed my plane!!!"

Darn plants.

Our first stop was to get Fast Passes for the new Test Track!

Can't wait to hear the review.

We also passed the Lion King family

And were promptly devoured. Law of the jungle. Circle of life. Etc.

Darn plants.

Then we finally made it to Mexico! Today was Cinco De Mayo so I needed to have a margarita and some nachos!

But of course. ::yes::

Nachos - corn tortilla chips with ground beef, nacho cheese, fresh tomatoes, jalapenos, black beans, and sour cream.

Paletas - traditional fruit popsicles coconut

and a Margarita

While pkondz does not do coconut... the rest sounds delish!

The It's a Small World part

I've never done that ride.... and now I don't know if I want to! :rotfl:

Who knows when you will see this listed as a 5 minute wait again?! :rotfl2:

When indeed!!! :rolleyes1:

Once on the ride we dared to go back to the time of Vikings

OMG! You guys are like, super brave!

We chilled out with some trolls

So... not as hot as the guys from Morocco.

check.

I messed around with camera settings

Interesting. Although I like the 3rd one best.

I like how happy this guy looks while everyone else is being serious

The very last one just before he was told, "Psst... We're here for eternity. Pass it on."

We also ducked into the shop. On this trip I was trying to explore more of the Epcot pavilions and take in everything that I could.

On my bucket list.

It sort of looks like dwarves are trying to creep up on her :rotfl:

Maybe they were made from creeping ivy.

It's just a theory.

Frushi (Fresh strawberries, pineapple and cantaloupe rolled with coconut rice, atop a raspberry sauce sprinkled with toasted coconut and whipped cream)

Nope. Not just one, but two kinds of coconut?

From our resting spot we could see the bonsai trees

Love Bonsai. How old were they? I saw some last year that were over 500 years old.

I forgot to mention that on this day mom and I decided to get a Duffy and a Perry to have signed around the world. Here at the kid stop I was hit on by the Moroccan men manning it. They were pretty cute :thumbsup2

Not trolls.

check.

Where are we headed next?

ADR at Le Cellier?
Thanks for the great pics and the chapters! :goodvibes

I love hopping from MK to EP on the monorail! When we stay at the Beach Club, we usually get back this way instead of taking a bus.

AWESOME monorail pictures! I also liked the ones of the ceiling in China when you played with the settings. Great idea!

It is so hard to really explore all of the pavilions in the World Showcase. I would love to spend a lot more time in every country, but the boys have different ideas.

The frushi looks so good!!!

I love the pictures you got of Epcot from the monorail. I have never been during the flower and garden time, but it looks lovely.
