They'd Better Get Ready on the East Coast!! May 2009 **TR started on TR boards!!**

Yup! I bought one fo those clip-snap barrettes thingies - do they have a formal name? I twisted my bangs and clipped that back. It looked decently good! :

Your itin looks good!

We will be at Epcot on May 5th too! Jenna will turn 15 that day and she choose Epcot to spend the day in. I'm not too sure about our other days as of yet. Chances are we'll be doing EMH AM at Animal Kingdom too.

I have to make sure the troops are onboard with all the the other plans I made. LOL!!!

I just noticed on your PTR that a lot of our schedules overlap!

Glad you found a way to manage your bangs... mine are currently driving me CRAZY! I like the way they look though, so I'm putting up with them... barely!

your plans look great! yummy places to eat, great place to stay, funs things to do! you got it all!

Oh my gosh look at your ticker!!! 1 more day!!!!! :scared1: I can't believe it! I hope you have a wonderful, magical, safe and amazing trip. Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back.

Your plans look great! I can't believe your trip is soooo soon! I am excited for you! Sorry I have been so absentee recently! :confused3

Oh, no problem! It's nice to see you. Is everything okay? Are you all settled in Texas yet?

AAAHHH!! Your trip is SOOO soon! :woohoo: Your plan looks great! It looks like you're going to have some great relaxing time--I'm so looking forward to that our trip! :thumbsup2 Oh--and cute new clothes!

I know, I really wanted to schedule a break every day because I can get wiped out really easy and I would rather spend some time relaxing than crash in the middle of the trip.:goodvibes

Hey, girlie! I'm finally all caught up! Yay! :yay: Today's your last day of double digits? WOW! You're SOOOOOO CLOSE! :woohoo:

I loved the pics of your Easter celebration. We never do anything fun for Easter anymore. The egg toss sounded like a blast. And I love that your family members know how to play the bagpipes. So cool! :thumbsup2

I also am trying to eat better and working on getting back into shape! We're going to the beach at the end of June and I want to look hot! We should be workout buddies!

Speaking of hot, the new hair color is awesome! I wish I'd been around to see the bangs picture before you took it down. Put a new one up soon! I wanna see the rockin bangs!

The road trip playlist is awesome! And I LOVE the songs your mom picked, particularly "All These Things I've Done" which is one of my favorite songs EVER. :cool1: Your itenerary looks great too! I can't wait for your trip and your TR afterwards. I'm so excited for you I could just burst!

I have to admit, the only working out I've been doing is walking with my dog. But hey, that's something right?

I don't have a picture of my bangs yet... but I'll try to get one up before I leave!

And yep, today is the last day of double digits. Woo hoo!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

And I am loving your TR!:lovestruc

WOW!!! I can't believe you guys leave for WDW next week. It has gone by SO fast!! I'm sure you're not excited at all, right? I hope the crowds are gone and you guys have a fabulous time!! Your itinerary looks great. I especially love staying at MK until the wee hours of the evening -- so fun!

I know, time is flying by. I really hope the crowds stay low like people are reporting. All the mayhem over the May crowds had me kind of worried but I'm really crossing my fingers that it will be a lot better than expected.

And nope, not excited at all.:rolleyes1:rotfl:

I'm subbing!! But I do have a lot of catching up to do!!

Hi there!! WELCOME! I'm so excited to have a new reader!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

As soon as I'm finished tonight's update I'll come check out your PTR. Thank you so much for stopping by and posting. I hope you'll stick around!:grouphug:

I can't believe your trip is coming up so soon!

I KNOW! 9 days tomorrow! :eek::lovestruc:cool1:

It's update time!

I've actually started packing, so this seems like the perfect time for one. Lots to report!

First of all, I checked in online at All Star Music today. Because we're arriving in Orlando at 4:30 and then have to take ME to the resort, I want to hurry the process of checking in and getting to our room as much as possible. I want as much time in the MK as we can get! So I figured since we're only there one night, I don't care which building or floor they put us on. I'm going to wait to check in at the YC until we get there because we'll have more time and I want to be able to change our room location if we don't like it. Check in was really easy. I just entered the res. #, our phone number, answered a few questions and an email was sent to my inbox! Now all we have to do upon arrival is show some ID and pick up our key. I really like the new system so far. It's super convenient.

I also got my suitcase out and stuck on the ME tag. I'm really hoping nothing happens to our luggage since the code on the tags is our YC package and the resort on the tags is ASMu. Disney said it was all A-OK though, so I'm trusting them! I also added the new Celebrate! tags to the handle. I kept the YOMD one because it's so pretty.

IMG_1663.jpg

I really love the booklets they send out with the travel documents this year. So cute!

IMG_1664.jpg

This little notepad is my mini-itinerary book. It was a buck at the dollar store and it fits perfectly into my Vera. I dedicated a page to each day and it's really handy inside the parks to write down things like showtimes, FP times, etc. I used it in December and it worked really well.

IMG_1665.jpg

My Veras decorated with Disney pins!

IMG_1668.jpg

This is my Disney folder, also a dollar at the dollar store. I keep all our travel documents, resort confirmations... basically everything important in it. If not, I would be misplacing everything!

IMG_1667.jpg

I've started packing my carry on as well. I'm bringing some DVDs to watch on my laptop on my plane and in the airport, as well as season 2 of The Office. These are the DVDs I picked out:

IMG_1666.jpg

If you can't tell, I'm going for light, girly chick flicks.;)

I also have my 2 Imagineers guides. I love these books, they are SO interesting! I bought them in December and they are great. I highly recommend them. I got these at the Poly gift shop but I'm sure they have them around the parks. So far only MK and Epcot have been published but I really hope they get around to doing DHS and AK books. They have so many fun facts in them, it's almost like a mini tour of the park from an Imagineer!

IMG_1669.jpg

This one is just a picture of our countdown. Remember what it looked like last time I posted it? It's coming along nicely!!

IMG_1672.jpg

Oh, and I'm not sure if we'll actually use this or not, but I'm bringing one of the misting fans we bought last July. It was a lifesaver in the heat. I don't know how warm it'll be in May, but I figured it's better to bring it and not use it than spend twenty bucks on one when we get to WDW. We got the misters at Walmart for about 8 bucks I think.

IMG_1671.jpg

And last but not least, the interior of my suitcase. So far I've got one pile of clothes and an empty makeup bag. Still lots to do!:laundy:

What a great update!!! I can't believe you are only 9 days away! WOO HOOTY, SHAKE YOUR BOOTY!:cool1::cool1::cool1::banana:

FYI: I'm going to be sending out all the Photopass info by the end of the week!

I'm back in Ontario again. I have one word of advice for you about the buffalo airport. Print out your directions back home too. It just makes it easier with the I-90, 290 east west thing. It was dark and I was tired so finding my way back to the border was not a highlight of my trip. I wish I hadn't left the GPS at home.

Okay now I need some advice from you. Apparently I missed the boat on this checking into your hotel on your computer. What is all that about? I'm off to research it now.

Your plans look great by the way. As do your pre-WDW entertainment choices. Excellent DVD selection.

I like to pre-read a portion of the book too. I agree there is nothing so disapointing to looking forward to losing yourself in a book only to find out the book has lost your attention. But then we are the type to pre-plan our vacations too. So perhaps you aren't so surprised by this afterall.

Yayayaya for packing!! :woohoo:

They just released the DHS Imagineering Guide or they are about too. I also have the AK already, I think it was released last year sometime. I bet you could order them online or maybe even find them in the parks again. :thumbsup2 I really can't wait to read the DHS one.

You are so very organized! I am impressed. I haven't figured out how I want to carry my itinerary yet. I bought a notebook but am not loving it. I don't know. :confused3

Don't you just love seeing your countdown in single digits?! I love those little luggage tags you get for ME. I want to sign up just to get those. I had no idea you could check in online -- very cool! Oh, and your Disney folder is so much prettier than mine (a boring purple file folder).

Good movie choices -- I absolutely LOVE Bridge Jones Diary!!

Subscribing. Congrats on your trip :cool1: trying to catch up

Yay! 9 days! Your countdown looks so friendly!

Thanks for your well wishes! Ya know I never really pay attention to my tracker! I'll have to look at it... :rotfl: Your first day is our last day there so I hope you guys have a magical, wonderful, safe trip too! :wizard: That is our "open" day but I will keep my eye out for you if we go to MK. :goodvibes

I asked the disney moms panel if I could reiterate my room request for online check in and they said yes. When I went to do it though I saw nothing that would allow me to type anything like that so I didn't continue. I really want to get the building I requested. I'm glad it worked out that you could do it for ASMu at least!

I love your movie choices! I would be crying on the plane though. :cutie: Any time I watch The Notebook or A Walk to Remember I cry! I love Catch and Release and Bridget Jones. :thumbsup2 Great picks.

Your VB bags look cute with your pins! :lovestruc Those books look great too! I'll have to keep my eye out for those.

Happy packing! :wizard: :woohoo: :dance3:

Ooh packing looks like so much fun! I'm sure sis and I will start doing that before too long. :rotfl:

Yay for packing! I wish I was packing for my Disney trip. I guess I can be packing for my trip to Oklahoma....eh. Not as exciting as Disney. :) I love your pins on your VB bags! That's a good idea! And yes, everything is okay, and I am pretty well settled in Texas now. Just really, really busy! Thanks for asking, though!!

YAY for packing!!! :woohoo: You just gave me some great ideas...I love that you have that little mini notebook. I can see how this will come in REALLY handy!! :thumbsup2 You're leaving sooooo soon! :yay:

Welll.. today I got to page 25.. so I'm halfway there.. hehe I'm excited how close our trips are.. but also.. that yours is right before mine! So when you come back.. i'll get to see your picss. and then i'll go! How exciting! :goodvibes

Hi,

Just found your postings a few days ago and I am so excited for you. We are leaving in 24 days and it has been over 10 years since my last trip. Could you let me know where you got the 'What Will You Celebrate' luggage tags? They are adorable!

What a great update!!! I can't believe you are only 9 days away! WOO HOOTY, SHAKE YOUR BOOTY!

FYI: I'm going to be sending out all the Photopass info by the end of the week!

Great! I'm so grateful for the PP share. We were thinking of skipping it this trip because $100 is quite a bit of money for photos, but I am so thrilled to be a part of it. Even if we get just a few good pictures, it really is worth it... especially for the BC session!

It's SO exciting to be able to say "we're leaving next week for Disney World"!!! I almost can't believe it's true!:cool1:

If you go to My Disney Vacation on the Disney World website, there is an banner about halfway down the page advertising online check in. Just click on it! It was a lot easier than I expected it to be. You can't make room requests, though. I will definitely report on how smoothly thing go!

We will definitely print out the directions, the last thing we need is to get lost on our way to WDW!:rotfl:

Oh my gosh!! I am so happy they have AK and DHS guides now! The CM at the Poly in December said she didn't think they were planning on writing them. Now this is one instance where I am so happy a CM is misinformed. I am definitely going to pick those up! Woo hoo!! Thanks.

Do you have Dollarama stores in the US? We have tons of them up here and last time I was in I saw a bunch of small Disney notebooks. Maybe most dollar stores would have something like that?

Don't you just love seeing your countdown in single digits?! I love those little luggage tags you get for ME. I want to sign up just to get those. I had no idea you could check in online -- very cool! Oh, and your Disney folder is so much prettier than mine (a boring purple file folder).

Me too! I could watch Bridget Jones' Diary over and over and never get tired of it. I love Colin Firth!:lovestruc The online check in is new, I think. We couldn't do it in December. I'm really crossing my fingers that everything goes okay.

I am nuts about my Disney folder. I get so paranoid about losing it somewhere on the journey, even though I'm sure Disney would be able to figure out our reservations for us anyway. I swear, I guard that thing with my life!

Subscribing. Congrats on your trip :cool1: trying to catch up

:welcome:

Hey there! It's so nice to have you!! This might be lame of me, but I get excited over every single time someone posts on my PTR. So thanks!! I hope you'll stay on board for the rest of the countdown and then join me on my TR! Welcome!!

Yay! 9 days! Your countdown looks so friendly!

Oh my gosh, I LOVE The Notebook. I want my own Noah! Luckily I don't cry at movies generally (my friends like to make fun of me and say my heart is made of ice LOL) but my mom definitely will!

I cannot BELIEVE you are leaving tomorrow. And I didn't realize your last day was our first day! I'll keep an eye out at MK!

Yeah, there was no place I could find for room requests either.:confused3 If I was set on a particular building I definitely would have checked in in person.:thumbsup2

Ooh packing looks like so much fun! I'm sure sis and I will start doing that before too long.

Well, your ticker IS at the 1 month ___ weeks mark now! My brother is making fun of me for packing so early (he is leaving for London at the same time we leave for WDW and has not packed anything) but I feel like I'm behind! I wonder who the obsessive planner in the family is, huh?:rotfl:

Yay for packing! I wish I was packing for my Disney trip. I guess I can be packing for my trip to Oklahoma....eh. Not as exciting as Disney. I love your pins on your VB bags! That's a good idea! And yes, everything is okay, and I am pretty well settled in Texas now. Just really, really busy! Thanks for asking, though!!

Actually, I saw the pins on the bags idea on Lady Lallie's PTR so all the credit goes to her!

I didn't know you were going to Oklahoma. What are you doing there?

I'm glad you're getting settled in Texas. I hope life slows down for you soon and gives your more DIS time!;)

YAY for packing!!! You just gave me some great ideas...I love that you have that little mini notebook. I can see how this will come in REALLY handy!! You're leaving sooooo soon!

I seriously am a huge dollar store fan. They have SO much Disney stuff at the Dollarama stores here in Canada. I love going in to see what I can find. And woo hooo 8 more days!! A week and a day! I feel like I'm so behind... I have laundry to do, flight details to print, clothes to pack, lists to make... but it's all worth it!

Welll.. today I got to page 25.. so I'm halfway there.. hehe I'm excited how close our trips are.. but also.. that yours is right before mine! So when you come back.. i'll get to see your picss. and then i'll go! How exciting!

I'm hoping to get my TR up pretty soon after I get back! I'm weirdly excited about writing it LOL. Wow, you've done quite a chunk of reading today! I hope I posted enough interesting stuff that it was worth it. There are so many DISers going in May, I have a feeling we'll make up half the crowds!

Hi,

Just found your postings a few days ago and I am so excited for you. We are leaving in 24 days and it has been over 10 years since my last trip. Could you let me know where you got the 'What Will You Celebrate' luggage tags? They are adorable!

:welcome:, Disney 127!

Another new poster!:scared1: So exciting!!

The "What Will You Celebrate" luggage tags come with the package Disney sends you about 2 weeks? (that's when we got ours in the mail) before your departure. They're in the same one with your vouchers for the arcade, mini golf, Planet Hollywood, stuff like that. Don't worry, you should be getting yours soon!!

That is so exciting you are leaving in 24 days and haven't been in 10 years! You must be bouncing off the walls LOL! Do you have a PTR going?

So exciting! We will be there the same time as you. I can't believe it is almost here. We leave on the 28th and will be driving from MA with a stop in NC and check into the POP on 4/30. I wish I were as organized as you are!! I have started packing at least (for the kids anyway). Have a wonderful time and I am looking forward to seeing your pictures!!

So close! :yay: :woohoo: Whoo-hoo!

I love my little notebook for journaling. It was small enough to carry in my bag and I had one of those half-pen thingies. I was solo, so it was easy to stop once in awhile and write down my thoughts. I got it for $2 at Target.

Oh and the Photopass shares are bring stopped at the DIS. :sad2: I don't understand why since no one *made* money, but the DIS mods do not want money exchanging hands for any reason. I'm glad I was in one already. I guess it also means the end of the Fireworks cruiseshares too. These were one fo the great things about DIS! :confused3

I did the online check-in for my trip in March (it was brand spenking new), though I had a different link for those who book trips through travel agents. There was no separate line for check-in at that time. I didn't really have a line, so it was no big deal.

I definitely have to check my local dollar store called Dollar Tree. I never went inside. Of course, there's my Target. :lovestruc

I will not have any Magical Express luggage tags this time around. My travel agent said they would not come in time. :confused3 I do have the regular luggage tags from last time and I have no idea how to get them on my suitcase! So I taped them on!

I haven't started packing, but I've been thinking about packing. Does that count? :lmao: I need to check my summer clothes out. I haven't yet done so beause it's still darn cold around here. I did buy new sandals for the trip, though I have to break them in.

My RideMax offer still stands. :goodvibes

Thanks for the info. on the luggage tags, gave WDW a call yesterday and they told me that my Disney package will be here soon. Just getting way too excited for our trip. Yes, we are bouncing off the walls with excitement! I have been reading so much about DisneyWorld that my DD thinks that I am crazy! We have been counting down daily. We usually head to Disneyland since we are out West. And thanks to you :), I have started a PTR (It's Been 10 Long Years ...). Thanks for keeping us updated with yours, it is so much fun reading about everyone's PTRs and knowing that I am not the only one who is feeling this way! :grouphug:
