So exciting! We will be there the same time as you. I can't believe it is almost here. We leave on the 28th and will be driving from MA with a stop in NC and check into the POP on 4/30. I wish I were as organized as you are!! I have started packing at least (for the kids anyway). Have a wonderful time and I am looking forward to seeing your pictures!!

Oh my gosh, you are leaving in 3 days!! I hope all the pre-trip preparations are going smoothly. I actually really wanted to drive to Disney this trip, but there just wasn't time. I think a road trip to WDW would be so fun... like an extended vacation!!

DHS & ak field guides, as well as DL!! I love the MK one, & plan to get the Epcot one soon to read over my 10 day break. (Yes, just a measley 10 day break from nursing school. *sigh* It's better than nothing!)

I love my little notebook for journaling. It was small enough to carry in my bag and I had one of those half-pen thingies. I was solo, so it was easy to stop once in awhile and write down my thoughts. I got it for $2 at Target.

Oh and the Photopass shares are bring stopped at the DIS. I don't understand why since no one *made* money, but the DIS mods do not want money exchanging hands for any reason. I'm glad I was in one already. I guess it also means the end of the Fireworks cruiseshares too. These were one fo the great things about DIS!

I did the online check-in for my trip in March (it was brand spenking new), though I had a different link for those who book trips through travel agents. There was no separate line for check-in at that time. I didn't really have a line, so it was no big deal.

I definitely have to check my local dollar store called Dollar Tree. I never went inside. Of course, there's my Target.

I will not have any Magical Express luggage tags this time around. My travel agent said they would not come in time. I do have the regular luggage tags from last time and I have no idea how to get them on my suitcase! So I taped them on!

I haven't started packing, but I've been thinking about packing. Does that count? I need to check my summer clothes out. I haven't yet done so beause it's still darn cold around here. I did buy new sandals for the trip, though I have to break them in.

My RideMax offer still stands.

Awww I didn't realize PhotoPass shares were being stopped. Bummer.

Haha I love that you taped on the luggage tags!It took me a little while to figure them out... they're tricky! They're really cute this year though.

I'm trying to break in my footwear too! I think I may just end up bringing down all of my shoes so I can rotate them around LOL.

Thanks for the info. on the luggage tags, gave WDW a call yesterday and they told me that my Disney package will be here soon. Just getting way too excited for our trip. Yes, we are bouncing off the walls with excitement! I have been reading so much about DisneyWorld that my DD thinks that I am crazy! We have been counting down daily. We usually head to Disneyland since we are out West. And thanks to you , I have started a PTR (It's Been 10 Long Years ...). Thanks for keeping us updated with yours, it is so much fun reading about everyone's PTRs and knowing that I am not the only one who is feeling this way!

Oooh I'm going to check out your PTR! Glad you got the luggage tag situation sorted out. I called too because I was worried they wouldn't get here on time, but they did! And yep, my family thinks my Disney obsession is somewhat crazy, but it all pays off once we get down there!

I love the West Coast. I'm thinking of doing grad school at UBC... I just love the mountains and the ocean. Whereabouts are you?

It's time for another packing update!

I went to the Disney Store on Wednesday while I was at the mall shopping with a friend. I had a coupon for 15% off and they were having a Spring Sale so I just couldn't resist! I only bought three things, though. I got a second Winnie the Pooh notebook with Eyeore on it and a Princess Jasmine pen (I swear, it is even more fun to copy out itineraries when you're doing it with this pen!)

And I also got this Ariel beach towel. I know the Deluxe resorts provide pool towels but umm... they kinda suck. I'm slightly picky about my towels and this one is so soft! Plus it has Ariel on it, so it was kind of a no brainer! LOL

I ended up buying 2 more books for the flight. I am not ashamed to say it, I am a huge chick lit, cheesy romantic novel fan. I just am. I do enjoy intellectual novels and classics but... sometimes there is nothing better than a good Nora Roberts romance.

And finally, I stopped by Forever 21 and bought this dress for 6 BUCKS! It's really pretty on. And it was 6.00!!!

Will someone please take my credit card away from me now, though?

It is an absolutely gorgeous day here. 25* and sunny. Ahhh.

We are in Calgary, right beside the Rockie Mountains. We head out to the West Coast (Vancouver Island) every summer to do some camping. It is really beautiful out there and we really enjoy the ocean and salmon fishing. There is nothing like watching the big waves out at Long Beach! Hey, my oldest daughter is only 12 1/2 but she wants to go to UBC too and study marine biology.

Love the $6.00 dress, you got yourself a great deal! $6.00 wouldn't even buy you a good lunch out here!

I have family in Calgary! We visited them a few summers ago and drove up to Banff, then took the train through the Rockies. It was absolutely gorgeous. Such a beautiful part of the country!


Okay, I'm trying not to freak about about the swine flu, but it has me slightly worried. I went to the drugstore and picked up hand sanitizer, One Step sanitizing spray for hands and surfaces, and Lysol wipes. I'm thinking we'll disinfect the hotel rooms, wash our hands often and be wary of people who appear sick. We're definitely not canceling our trip over this, but I DO want to be careful. I've been watching the news and so far there are no reported cases in Florida, so that's good. I know WDW is bad for germs, but I doubt it can really be that much worse than public transit here in Toronto, shopping malls, etc. Hopefully taking the necessary precautions will keep us safe and healthy.

I'm just about to head off to the mall of a pair of sandals. Hopefully will have an update tonight!

Glad I'm not the only one. My mother isn't worried at all, and she worries pretty easily so that's keeping my panic reigned in. I've been looking for your PTR and can't find it! Do you have a link by any chance? Apparently my eyes aren't working properly tonight.


Oh! And I went shopping today and bought a pair of Reef flip flops and a mini tripod. The tripod was only 9.00 and I'm hoping to get some good nighttime/fireworks shots with it! And oh my goodness, the sandals are soooo comfortable. I got these ones:

but in a tan colour. Holy cow, I was planning on bringing some other shoes with me but these are even more comfortable than my Crocs! I'm really happy. I have a lot of knee pain so I'm hoping that good shoes will help out.

This might sound kind of shallow and dumb but... I'm kind of bummed out about it. I have to wear knee braces for our trip because I have Patella Femoral Syndrome and my knees get really sore when standing or walking for a while. The thing is, the braces are big, black and, well, ugly. I don't care while I'm there, but I don't want them to be the most noticeable thing in all of our pictures! I really wish they were a tan or beige colour or something. I know it is SUCH a petty, small issue and will be worth it to minimize pain but... I just wish I didn't have to wear them. Rant over.

Tomorrow is our last Monday before the trip!! Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday... we're OUTTA HERE!!!

I like the flipper-floppers. I don't wear them much since I seem to swish a bit more and the noise drives me crazy. Weird, I know.

I don't think you are being shallow at all about your braces. You could always ask the photopass people to take the pictures from the waist up, most of them do that anyways.

Aw, I hope your knee doesn't cause any pain throughout your trip. If anything, you could always rent an ECV to help ease the pain and run small children over. I'm totally kidding. Oh, and I don't think you're being petty about the brace at all. I'd probably think the same thing! The good thing is that I'm sure you'll have a lot of pictures where you won't even be able to see the brace. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Oh, and I'm kind of a towel snob too. Those hotel towels are so scratchy and not very absorbent. Love your new Disney towel...very cute! And that dress --- so cute and such a GREAT deal!!!

I love flying out of Buffalo, so much cheaper than Toronto! I think Buffalo airport is great, so small and convenient... cross the Peace Bridge and a short drive from there!

Yippeee ... a few more days and you are off! I am so excited for you and can't wait to hear all about it, we have only 19 days left to go. Started throwing some of our stuff into a laundry basket (suitcases are still in the basement) but I really don't like packing. There is always so much to bring and last minute things to buy. My PTR is titled 'It's Been 10 Long Years' ... not sure how to link it to this. I am still new on the board!

The flip flops are cute ... I will just be wearing my Tevas, in case I get drenched on the rides! And don't worry about the knee brace (you are not being vain), as long as you are comfortable and be able to walk, that is all that matters. My hubby wrecked both his knees playing hockey and has two braces that he uses.
