Looks like you had a great day! I haven't been to the falls since I was a little kid. I definitely would go in the summer!! Not a fan of the cold. I just got back from my 2 hour trip to Target by myself. I love my alone trips I get lost in there. Got the kids some disney stuff in the dollar spot for their goody bags for our long drive to WDW. And now I am enjoying my new Kenny Rogers greatest hits CD. I know I am strange. Love him though. I actually saw him in concert when I was little in Canada. Toronto maybe? Is there such a thing as the World fair. I can't remember I was young. Now I am just going on and on it is time to get some sleep I guess! Good night
I love the dollar spot, it's so neat! I am a huge Target fan.
Montreal held the Expo or World Fair in 1967, maybe that's what you're remembering? Montreal is such a beautiful city, I love it there. I do like Toronto but Montreal has so much culture and history.
Every time Kenny Rogers is mentioned the first thing that pops into my head is the Seinfeld episode with Kenny Rogers chicken.
Wow!! I've been to the falls a few times, but only in the summer. The falls are gorgeous in the winter with all of the snow and ice. How pretty!
Soooo, whadya buy at Target?? I love Target! There is one about a mile away from me. It's well within walking distance..uh oh!! Target is Emily's favorite store too. If I ask her, "What do you want to do today?", her reply is always, "Target!" I've created a monster!
Oooh I got a bunch of things at Target, I'll post them soon! That's so cute about Emily!

You've trained her well. I'm kind of bummed that we don't have anything comparable to Target in Canada. Well, maybe Zellers I guess... but it is definitely not as good.
I love the pictures!

I've never been to the Falls. Actually, I've never been out of the south. LOL I'm so sheltered.

I love that the people asked about you taking pictures of your pancakes. You should have told them they are such good pancakes that I want to always remember them, so I took a picture. I love target! It's my favorite place to shop. I wish we had a super Target so I could get my groceries there too. I'd never shop anywhere else. Hayden Harnett has some cute Target purses now too. They aren't real leather of course but they are cute bags.
Well you've been to the World Showcase, right? That must count for something.

You should just start telling people you've been to Canada, England, France, Morocco, Germany, Norway, Japan, China... see if you can bribe the CMs to stamp your REAL passport LOL.
The Falls really are pretty.

The city of Niagara Falls itself isn't so nice though IMO. A lot of it is pretty run down. The entertainment area is fun but I don't think I would want to live there. It would be nice to be so close to the border though!
Pretty there at the Falls, but see that white stuff behind you? That's my idea of Hell. I *hate* snow!
Girl, it's cold out of the South! And the food's not as good, unless you really like Mexican, then the food in SoCAL is pretty good (but not a grit, country ham, or fried okra in sight. )
Yeah, it was a coooooold day! I definitely prefer the Falls in the summer although the snow and ice are pretty.
Haha I've never had grits, country ham or fried okra. I don't even know what country ham or fried okra are LOL. I've seen grits at Disney but have never been brave enough to try them... they look kind of yucky to me *ducks*.
The falls look so pretty!!! But so very cold. What did you tell the guy when he asked why you were taking pictures of your food?
Well I tend to start babbling when I'm embarrassed, so I told him that I had a habit of taking pictures of my food from our visits to Disney World just for fun because the presentation is so nice and then from there my obsession has grown to almost any restaurant we are eating out at and since we weren't from Niagara Falls it was kind of like we were on a mini vacation so I figured why not and took some and....
Of course, I fit all that into about 5 seconds of speech LOL!
Your mini trip looks like it was fun! And you got some great pics of the Falls. Y'all look cold though!
I

me some IHOP. It's actually sad how excited I get about going to IHOP for dinner. Stuffed french toast.....yum!
Yeah, we were FREEZING! Some people were covered in a layer of ice from the mist freezing on their coats! It was crazy.
I've never had stuffed french toast at IHOP. Sounds amazing though. I guess we'll have to go back soon! I've never had anything from their lunch/dinner menu, is it good?
BRRRR! You guys made me cold!
Just thought I would share some of our lovely Canadian weather with you guys!
That's just sad!! No grits or okra? I couldn't live...but I do love mexican!!
Nope, neither. But we DO have back bacon (I think you guys call it Canadian bacon?), poutine (fries with cheese and gravy YUM), maple sugar candy, Coffee Crisp chocolate bars and other yummy things!
Oh, WOW I've missed a lot.... Okay, here's me catching up:
Your girls' day with your mom in WDW looked like fun! I

breakfast at 1900 Park Fare because Alice and the Mad Hatter are two of my favorite characters. We had a blast with them when we went a couple of years ago.

I love the pics of you and your mom with the Mad Hatter!
And I've never had tea at GF, but the tea room looks so pretty! I definitely have to put that on our to-do list for future trips!
Love the last outfit you posted. The necklace is really pretty!
Your IHOP/Niagara Falls/Target trip sounds like it was a lot of fun! IHOP is soooooo yummy, and Target is crazy awesome. I could spend three weeks pay there in just one visit! I can't wait to see your shopping finds!
And I've never been to Niagara Falls, but WOW!

It looks so gorgeous! Your pictures are really amazing!
Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip!
Hi, Emily!!
I think I DID spend three weeks' pay in there LOL. Especially since there are so many things we can't buy in Canada, it's hard not to dump everything in the store into the cart.
The tea is awesome, one of my favourite parts of our WDW trip. You should definitely try it!
Oh my goodness, your trip is getting soooooooo close! How many more days for you? You must be excited!!!
I really enjoyed your mini-TR from your last trip. Cute pics too -- you and your Mom look so much alike! It looks like you guys had such a great time. I'm envious. If I attempted to do that w/ my Mom, I might just wind up leaving her somewhere.
WOW!! That image of Niagara Falls in the summer is spectacular!!
People tell us all the time that we look alike but I don't really see it? In some pictures I see a similarity but not really in real life. I'm flattered though, I think my mom is beautiful.

Hopefully I'll get the rest of the mini report done soon!
So I was driving back from my test this morning & passed 2 vans from Canada (reminded me of you). It's gonna be 40*F for the high today. I'm in a long-sleeved t-shirt, hoodie, & my coat with the heat blasting. I look over at the driver of one of the vans, and he's in a t-shirt! Short sleeves!
I guess 40 is balmy this time of year though...
Haha that's so funny! I usually break out the T shirts once it hits 0 (32*F) but I do wear a coat over top!! Did you catch which province the license plate was from?
Oh My Goodness! What great updates!

I love your Mom/Daughter day update and I've never seen pictures of the tea room, so that was exciting. And Niagra Falls is GORGEOUS! I would love to go someday. And guess what! My mom and I had a shopping day on Saturday too!

I actually thought about posting on your thread that you'd inspired me to shop!
Yay, I've inspired shopping!

LOL. I'd love to read about your shopping day... that's so cool we both had our shopping days at the same time. Where did you go?
I'm surprised the tea room isn't posted about more, it's a really beautiful place to take a break from the parks and not too expensive either! I really love it there!
