They'd Better Get Ready on the East Coast!! May 2009 **TR started on TR boards!!**

OMG the Jon and Kate book! I bought it and read it the next day...the WHOLE THING in one sitting! I just couldn't put it down. I'm so excited for the new one to be coming out!

Ha, I am definitely one who likes to stray from the norm. I actually fall into the not-a-fan category when it comes to Soarin'. I know, I know. I definitely think it's something to experience at least once. But for some reason, once was enough for me. :confused3 My sister did drag me on it in October. She wouldn't take no for an answer.

You can get your name stitched on them in several different places -- at MK, it's the store near Tinker Bell's Treasures (might be called Sir Mickey's). At DHS, the store that's over to your right (when you enter) on Hollywood Blvd. I think there's a store in DTD that does it too. Sorry I don't know the exact names.

If I could be anywhere in WDW right now, I'd be riding SM and then heading over to take a few rides on TTA. Sounds so fun right now...

I think I can picture that store in MK. We are heading there on our first night so maybe we'll stop by then and pick up some ears!

I am a HUGE Soarin' fan. I could ride it for hours and hours. But if you could go and convince more people to not like it, I would just love that. Shorter lines!:rotfl:

I'm about halfway through right now. I really like it! I'm giving it to my mom to read next since she watches the show too. New episode tonight!:woohoo: It's funny, when I was at the cash, the cashier was like "OMG I LOVE JON AND KATE PLUS EIGHT!" and we had a little chat about the show and the new house and how darn cute those kids are!

74 DAYS!!!!

party: :tigger: :mickeyjum :donald: :ccat::dancer: :jumping1: :bounce: :simba: :stitch: :goofy: :sulley:

This may be somewhat lame, but I'm starting to plan my "Disney outfits". I have to get out my summer clothes and then match and accessorize them, adding in my new Disney shirts. When I figure them out, I'll post the outfits!

When I think up an "If" question for today, I'll post it!:cheer2: :cheer2:

So I'm going to end it with a little bit of french.;)

Bon nuit, tout le monde! Fais de beaux rêves! À demain.:goodvibes

OK, It's been a while since I've spoken French...does this say, "good night world, sleep well, until tomorrow" ??

YAY for feeling better!!

And, like everyone else, I love that Yeti shot!! Priceless!

Hm; if I could be anywhere at WDW right now? Probably eating a big, juicy burger at Sci-Fi. I love that place, and it makes my (diet) soup for lunch look pathetic.

Can't wait to see the outfits! Hey you should be with my sister and I. We start planning our outfits for each day like a month in advance!

Can't wait for the new Jon n Kate tonight..I can't remember...what's happening on tonight's episode?

Close!! It means "good night, everyone! sweet dreams! until tomorrow." Kind of funny, but the everyone part literally translates into "all the world". Although there are definitely things in the english language stranger than that!:goodvibes

My roommate at ballet school was French, so at first I thought I would know everything to be able to talk to her... but the french slang was like a whole other language! I remember she would get letters from friends and give them to me and I would see how much of them I could read. Usually it wasn't much.:rotfl: Quebec french and France french are quite different.

Mmm the Sci Fi! We ate there in July and I got the burger. It was so good. I actually have a picture of it.:goodvibes

Yum!!!

I think it's the painting episode? Where the kids are running around the basement with rollers and blue paint?

Haha I should get you to help me plan my outfits! I'll post a preliminary round and then you can critique them and let me know what you think. From what I've seen on your TR, you have quite the fashion sense!:goodvibes

Okay, so today's "Disney IF" question is::cheer2: :cheer2:

If you had to choose between a two week vacation at a value resort or a one week vacation at a deluxe resort, which would you choose?

Personally, I would choose the two weeks at a value resort. This was actually a decision for us earlier in the trip... we could do two weeks at a value or 8 days at a deluxe. I rallied for a two week vacation because it would be so wonderful to slow down and have a completely stress free vacation, but it didn't work out with my mom's work schedule (once she retires we can finally do our two week trip!).

Still, I am beyond excited to be staying at the Yacht Club!

As much as I love the deluxe resorts, I would pick a two week vacation. I think it would be so nice to relax and enjoy the parks instead of feeling rushed all the time.

I just love these questions!! :yay:

I would definitely choose the 2 week vacation! I haven't stayed longer than 7 days before & would love to have full non-park days to do all those things I just can't seem to schedule in otherwise.

Glad to hear you're feeling better!:goodvibes

Don't worry, nothing strange or lame about planning those outfits! DD & I have been putting our stuff in designated "Disney Boxes" & this includes a list of the outfits we're planning to wear! :rotfl: Our "room supplies" tote & toiletry bags are already packed & ready to go! :rotfl2:

I'm a firm believer in taking the packing slow & getting most of my stuff together weeks in advance. It just keeps the excitement going & takes the stress away from last minute packing.:thumbsup2

I think it's the painting episode? Where the kids are running around the basement with rollers and blue paint?

Oh yes it's the painting episode and Kate freaks out! What did she expect the lil' kids would do?!

OMG okay!!!!!! Aw you're so nice...:goodvibes

Oooooh, this is a hard one! I'd pick the two week vaca! More time at WDW is fine with me! :thumbsup2

Awww I'm glad you like the questions! I was so nervous at the beginning that they might be a silly idea but I'm having fun with them!:thumbsup2 Now if only I could only get enough pixie dust to make all of our answers come true!

I love packing slowly too. Even putting little things away makes me feel like the trip is getting so close. I like your idea of "Disney Boxes". Tomorrow my project is to get my bedroom cleaned and organized, and once I finish I think I'm going to start a Disney Box!

I hope you're feeling better as well!!!!

Hey, everyone went for the 2 week vacation!:woohoo:

I was surprised Mady and Cara weren't in the episode tonight! And I felt like it was a little too much Jon and Kate and not enough of the kids. But they were cute painting and did a pretty good job!

I'm actually excited about this clothes thing! I'll go dig out my shorts and skirts tomorrow and post the first outfit.:yay: :yay:

I was surprised too! But, I think they did the painting while Mady and Cara were at school..just my guess. I thought it was so cute how good Collin was doing! Kate goes "Jon, looks like you have a future painter here!"

Okay and I will tell what I like...or maybe would change..Or whatever you want me to help you with!

Mmmm...that burger looks SO good!! I'm absolutely STARVING right now. Also, I haven't had a good burger for at least 6 months.

Okay, on to the question of the day. I think I would choose one week in a deluxe simply b/c I haven't stayed at one yet. Although, two weeks at WDW would be wonderful. I'd still go w/ the deluxe.

Ooo, you're probably right about Cara and Maddy! And Collin was so sweet with the painting! His section of the wall was so good.

I'm going to do a little cleaning and I'll hopefully get my first outfit posted after lunch!

That burger WAS sooooo good! I couldn't finish it all though, it was huge!

It is always fun to try something new.:goodvibes Which deluxe would you choose to stay at?

And a little bit of bad news... the conference was rescheduled to September.:sad1: :sad1: I will have classes then and I really can't afford to miss a whole week right at the beginning of the semester. So it looks like I won't be going to Disneyland after all. I'm trying to think positive though... the money that I would have put toward DL I can now put toward another vacation! But still, I'm a little bummed.

I'm wondering if I should change the title of my PTR? Or change my first post introduction? I don't really know what PTR etiquette is when plans are changed.

I have some pictures from Family Day yesterday I'll post later too.

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

This is a celebratory post because...

I am out of my pajamas! I am dressed! I am going out of the house today!!!
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Today's "If" question is inspired by a dream I had last night. I dreamed I was in a tube in the lazy river in Typhoon Lagoon (although TL was in Belgium... and my inner tube was made of stone and the whole time I was trying to figure out how they engineered it to float. But I digress. )

So it got me to thinking...

If you could be anywhere in WDW today, right in this very moment, where would you be and what would you be doing?

I would be in a hammock at the YC with a cold drink, watching the finale of IllumiNations.:goodvibes

Have a GREAT Sunday, everyone!!!

YAY for feeling better!

Your dream made me giggle. :rotfl: To answer the "if" question, I think I would be riding the resort monorail at sunset and eating a piece of cheesecake from Main Street Bakery from a to-go container. :cloud9: "Please stand clear of the doors...por favor mantenganse alejado de las puertas..." :thumbsup2

Oooooh, I can't wait to see your outfits! As for the "if" question, I would definitely choose the two weeks at a value as well. I've never had a two week vacation EVER so that would be SO awesome. Plus, I love POP and ASMu even after being spoiled at mods and deluxes. They're just so Disney! I can't help but love them! :cool1:

Somehow my Tivo did not record Jon and Kate last night. I'm bummed now. I have to get the book you got for the car ride down though! Your purchases looked like fun spoil-yourself-for-the-heck-of-it stuff, which are my favorite types of purchases. :thumbsup2

That's sad you won't get to go with your dad to Disneyland. :sad1: Doesn't being in college stink sometimes? Stupid school schedules.... Ah well, it's good that you're trying to look on the bright side about putting the money toward another vacation! That sounds like a plan to me! I don't know what you should do about your PTR title, though. Maybe just announce that you're going to change it and give everyone a week to see the announcement before you actually do it? You got me, I'm just as stumped as you are. :confused3

I can't wait to see your Family Day pictures! That sounds like my kind of holiday!

I'm just getting the pictures uploaded to photobucket! I've got 3 outfits picked out so far.:thumbsup2

Don't worry, the Jon and Kate episode this week wasn't my favourite... but I think they are all online on TLC so you can go catch up!

I changed the title a little so it's still recognizable... but actually true.:rotfl:

You really have me convinced on the cheesecake from the Main Street Bakery! LOL you will have to watch for it on my TR!!!

And you're right... college DOES stink sometimes.;)

That's too bad about your Disneyland trip. I think if you want to change your title, it is totally up to you. :goodvibes

I decided to go for it! And thanks. I'm not letting it bother me too much since the May trip was the "main" one in my head anyway... the June one was just a bonus. I would be just crushed if the May trip was cancelled but for now... I am still super excited.:goodvibes

Just getting my pictures uploaded and then I'll have a picture post for y'all!

Okay, Disney fashionistas! Lend me your brains.princess:

I haven't picked out my traveling outfit yet. It needs to be something comfy and warm since I always seem to get chilly on airplanes but I'm not sure yet. Whatever I wear on the plane I'll just keep on for the first night at MK.

Okay, so Day 2 is our Epcot day and here is my outfit for that:

IMG_0868.jpg

The skirt is from The Gap and I don't know if you can tell, but the little embroidered things on the polo are Mickeys.

We're having dinner at Teppan Edo on this night, so I wanted to wear something nice-ish.

Day 3 is Animal Kingdom Day and here is my outfit for that:

IMG_0870.jpg

My mom has a matching T shirt for this day.:woohoo: I'm not totally loving this outfit though... any thoughts? It just seems kind of "blah" to me but I can't figure out what to do with it.

This is fun!:goodvibes

Aw, I'm sorry that the conference got rescheduled. But, things like that always happen for a reason so I'm sure it's for the best -- even if you don't realize that now.

I just read your first post, and did I just miss the part about the fire or did you just add that? Either way, I'm so sorry you had to go through that! Although, I'm happy to hear you were able to turn such a negative thing into something so positive!

Oh, as for the deluxe I would choose...probably the Poly, just so I could enjoy staying at a monorail resort. Although, I'd love to stay at the WL. It reminds me of all the summers we spent at Yellowstone and out west. If we ever get DVC, that would be our home. :goodvibes

Outfit #1:

LOVE the skirt and Mickey polo!!!

Outfit #2:

Hm....I don't know if the white shorts are doing it for me...maybe a jean skirt/skort or shorts?

You're right... I'm a huge believer that things happen for a reason, and I'm sure it really is for the best.:goodvibes Thanks!

I didn't include the part about the fire in my first post originally... I know I mentioned it somewhere in my PTR I just have no idea where.:rotfl: Even though it was not fun at the time, I am ultimately glad I went through it. And the funny thing is, I'm not as afraid of fire anymore! I used to be so afraid of it that I wouldn't even light candles and I hated bonfires, but now that I know I can get through something like that... I am way less afraid. Funny how that works out!

Ahhhh I would love, love, love to have DVC. If I could pick DVC anywhere I would probably pick the Beach Club or Boardwalk. I just love the Epcot area!:lovestruc

Oh good, so it's isn't just me. Hmm... I don't have any jean skirts or shorts (I know, kinda weird!)... I do have lots of jeans but I'm thinking it might be a little warm for jeans in May?

A jean skirt really would go with almost anything... maybe I'll take a look online to see if I can find one I like. If I can find one for under $20 I'll grab it!
