Disneyland has no excuses. Note how the closing of Astro Orbitor has never been listed on disneyland.com - now weeks after it shut down. People planning visits should be able to depend on the official information Disney puts out on its own web site. Disney is usually quite slow to update the site, which is frustrating itself, but once the schedule is put up, it ought to be solid. If there's any event that is tentatively scheduled, Disney ought not to publicize it in the first place.
Oh, yeah, here's another visitor that will now (apparently) not get to see any fireworks, in addition to missing Fantasmic!![]()
ITA, perlster. I have tried not to be a negative Nellie about all the closures that I knew about going into our vacation, but to schedule it and then yank it away ... that is unconscionable to guests coming from far away and locked into plans. I am spending a buttload of money taking advantage of the 5/3 at the GC and, honestly, I regret it but I now feel trapped by DLR's cancellation policy. I'd switch to three days and a Good Neighbor hotel, if I had to do it over again.
I am going to remain hopeful that they are doing some minor tinkering and there will be fireworks of SOME sort that weekend.
