They took out the spinning on Cat in the Hat?

Am I really the only fan of this ride not spinning?

It would be great to be able to really enjoy this ride w/o the motion sickness kicking in...

I hear what others are saying about the ride being a little 'boring' without the spinning. Would be nice to bring back the 'spin or no spin' option when you first get on the ride :)

Personally, I think I would enjoy it more without the spinning. It was kind of jerky when the spinning would stop suddenly. It made the ride a little intense for toddlers. I wouldn't have wanted to try holding on to a toddler when the spinning stopped with a jerk. I think it makes it just a little better for very young children and adds a nice safe easy ride for them.

So do you still turn or is it stuck looking one way now? I really like the spinning but I do remember this being the only ride I have every really felt a little ill riding. As long as it turns some to look at the various aspects on the ride I will be a happy person... :thumbsup2

I still will go on the ride, still one of the fun rides for DD (7)

It would be exactly the same as it was before just without the spins.

This happened whilst we were there (around April 10th). We rode one day and it was spinning; the next day it wasn't. Sucks without the spinning. :sad2:

Drat, spinning was the reason we always rode it. Hope they bring it back. Probably won't ride it again if it don't spin.

I've heard from a highly regarded person that they are fixing the calibration and that once it is fixed it will go back to spinning.

Awesome! DH and I both thought that ride was much cooler than most of the Fantasyland ones, but not sure how cool it would seem without the spinning.

Well I hope that it does start spinning again because I love that ride with the spinning and its a nice place to get out of heat and get inside for a bit. But I've been on the ride so many times I have it memorized and if there is no spinning I would more likely take a nap in it.

No wonder it felt so lame last week. We haven't been in several years and I remember that my DD and I loved the ride last time but were totally turned off this time. Of course, once I saw this thread, I realized what was missing.

I too hope that the spinning comes back. But, maybe they could have a spin-free car for those who don't like spinning.

Well, the concensus is that there should be a spinning option! Wonder if that will come back.

I prefer the spinning too.

But, I'd rather ride it with no spinning than the lights ON! That happened last year...that was really dumb!!

Mof, we rode Mummy w/ the lights on last year too....now THAT was weird. Didn't like it.

It is soooo much cooler with the spinning (although my mom probably couldn't ride it if she wanted too because of the spinning)! But DH and my girls and I LOVE that ride. It would not be half as much fun without it!

Must admit my boy loves the ride and especially the spinning, to be honest it makes me ill! :)
