I took my very first trip to DW in 2009 and wish I had discovered this "Fountain of Youth" long before then. Hi, I'm Pixie. Really and I mean that!

This report is extremely late , but I now have my very first computer. I don't know why we say [my very first] anything. Does the word very make it any more firstest? Is firstest even WORD? You can google it if you want to and let me know your findings.....or not. I kind of like that word.

My DD,Ty had driven me nuts for two years. Disney this, and Disney that. All the time. Every phone conversation. I started to dread her calls. Then, one day it hit me. I wanted to go. I couldn't wait to go. The reports of her experiences, her quick wit made me laugh til I almost _ _ _ _ _ _ _ my fruits of the looms. I never thought I'd ever be able to go. Disney seemed like a faraway place that would always be out of my reach, but it's not. Come on! You can do it. Just put
your arm out and rrreeaaccchhh for that cell phone and dial "M" for MAGIC!

We set the date for Dec 3-11, 2009 and quite by chance---- or not---- we'd be there for her birthday. Wonder how that happened? :confused3 We had planned the trip for Ty and me. Then on one of our trips to Bronners in Frankenmuth, Mi., I asked if my friend J could come because J had mentioned on more than one occasion that Disney World was her " happy place " . Ty agree. Ty had just found a long -lost friend she'd not seen or heard from in 25 yrs. now we had a trip planned for four peole. 4 is a nice number when it comes to partnering-up for rides that are made for 2 people instead of 3' This trip was really going to happen. We were on a roll.

We had made our reservation to stay at Pop Century. We got the "Magic your way Park Hopper", Then Disney came out with free dining. It was for QS and we up graded or TS and paid the difference. All was set to go and all we had to do was wait for Dec. 3. I felt like a kid waiting for Santa.

Hey Mom! Welcome...it's been approximately 3 minutes since my last post.
you knoooooooow I heard all ablout the trip from Ty, am really looking forward to reading your version of it all...:wizard:

I was informed that I need 10 postings before I can add photos. So let's do it.

I went out to Tys for a week in June and we visited the Disney store and oh, darn. All of the items I liked were for sizes 2-10.....childrens. Some one needs to start making grandma sizes. 16 short or petite would be lovely. That's sucha cute shop. I looked at everything. Ty said DW has all sizes.

At this time, I'm thinking ahead to my Disney sweethearts. Goofy and Eeyore.I had a decision to make. I planned to ask one of them to marry me when I grow up. My husband sais I could. So many things to consider. Eeyore could easily carry my purse and such on his long sleek back. Goofy is a snappy dresser. Eeyore has that cute, shy pout, but Goofy has a contageous laugh. Edyore has a pink bow handy should I ever need one. Goofy has
nice white teeth, which is a biggy in my book. Eeyore had a removable tail that can be used as a back scrubber. Then the most important issue came to mind. Goofy has thumbs and can drive! Goofy it is! He's such a gentleman, always wearing white gloves. Wish me luck. I wonder if it would sway his decision if I were to supply the diamond ring:cheer2::cheer2:

The day J. and I left for DW was surreal, Were we really on our way? We felt like kids, "We're going to Disney. We're going to Disney." When we boarded our plane, we soon discovered the majority of the passengers were going there too. How cool was that. The flight felt magical as if this were The Disney Plane. Excited kids and all, we had a happy and relaxed fligjt. Only my own excitement kept me from falling to sleep, drooling all over J.'s shoulder.

As a little girl, the only thing I knerw about Walt Disney was the black and white cartoons. Was Mickey Mouse called Steamboat Willy in 1956? I don't know when I first heard of Disneyland. Our neighbors eventually purchased a color TV. It was a rare treat to be invited to watch the Disney specials. My DD Ty promised me that The DW was always in full color. This may very well have been the turning point in changing my mind about taking this trip.

When we arrived at the airport in Orlando, we took the tram to the other side to meet Ty and her childhood friend. It was sort of like one of those commercials that at the end......you cry. Ty started walking toward us and I smiled my big "My baby. My baby smile." And just a few yards from what would have been a momentous and memorable hug....my cell pphone rang. It was my sister from Fl. with info about a future visit to see her and our mother. So the moment was gone and J. introduced herself to Ty. In a moment or two we were fast tracking to ME. That's when the magic began.

While Ty stood in line at the Pop Century resort, J. and I sat our tired bones down. It wasnt that the flight was so exhausting as our bags and purses were heavy and we were old....er than before we left home.

Since it was Dec., the place was in full Christmas Bloom. I wonder if I could get a tree that size in my.......yard. It really was spectacular. I could see just beyond the tree was a shop. We'd visit that shop many times during our stay. I bought a charm bracelet and many charms. This was almost as good as having my picture taken with the princesses

Our room was on the second floor in the 70's. Even the bed spreads were Disney-themed. We grabbed our choice of beds, there were only two choices, so that took 15 secs. Then headed for Magic Kingcom. There it is again. I mean there is Magic everywhere.

We were just a hop, skip and a jump from the bus stop and we were all set to be wowed.

Love the title Pix! Would love to take my mom one day. Although it would probably take a lot to talk her into it. I know my dad's knee couldn't handle all the walking. He would never use a scooter and would just want to sit on a bench in each park waiting for us. ;)

Just take the mom and have a girl bonding trip. Thanks for reading and posting. I appreciate it.

Love, love, love the title!I'm a little concerned about the addiction...do we need an intervention?

It took me 3 years to convince my Mom she needed a Disney vacation, Now she's hooked. I am still trying to get my Dad to go. He said he knows he will enjoy it, he just doesn't want to go at all.":confused3
I hope you at least get your mother/daughter trip.

Nonsense!!!! There is no need for an intervention, trust me, you won't want one either once you've been. You'll know you're completely addicted if you start planning your next trip while you're still at Disney.

I try to have a trip in the works before I leave Disney, that way it doesn't hurt so much when you have to leave.

Hey Mudha.
When are you going to get back to your TR? They don't write themselves ya know.
Is this what is was like trying to get me to do my homework?

Let me know when you are posting your next update, I will go in and add the pictures for you.

I can't wait to read more, I am excited to know your inner thoughts about your first trip to Disney. Of course I was there and saw first hand all the goings on, but I couldn't read your mind. Sooooo tell us.

Ty's right, again! *&^*&^! that was painful. The report doesn't write itself. looking forward to more...

Hey, hey, hey... I just realized you are Ty's mom and you've got this here TR going! I'll pop in when I can- love your start!!
