Hey folks, my mom just called me very upset, she spent 2 hours working on an update and just before she was about to post it, the screen disapeared and all her work was lost. She sounded so bummed out but said she will try again tomorrow. So just wanted to let ya'll know she is going to finish this TR.

Our first morning at DW was filled with more than excitement. It was filled with happy sounds and and smells. My DD Ty made sure we got to the Magic Kingdom just before rope drop. She made me close my eyes and she led me by the hand, stopped and told me that I could open my eyes. It was the Castle of every little girls dream. I just stood there like and idiot, eyes tearing, and not knowing what to say. I guess it wasn't necessary to say any thing at all. I just enjoyed the sight. Before my husband retired from the army after 25 and a half years, we had lived in Germany three different times. We visited the Neuschwanstein Castle half a dozen times. But this Castle, the Castle of my childhood, for some reason meant more to me.

I must add at this time that J had been sick since before we left home. She was armed with meds. so we thought she was on the mend. Not so. But she was a good sport and joined us all but three days of the trip.

I must also describe this group of ours. Ty's friend was about 5'10". Ty is 5' 8" , I am 5'2" and J is not. She is 4'11",,,,,,maybe. At times it was quite crowded and we'd lose someone. This a.m. it was J. "So it was "Where is J? Everybody look down." Feeling very safe at these parks we never worried about falling off the edge of the world or anything. We just wanted to share this trip with eachother. Besides, J has been known to talk to and accept candy from strangers.

We took the ride through the Haunted Mansion a few times. It seemed that each of us would spot something that the others hadn't seen and it became a game to fine everything anyone else had spotted. I love hidden object games. The technology of DW is amazing. I will say this at least eight to twelve more times. Let's count, shall we? Let me know what you discover.

We ate at Pecos Bill's. I loved all the food here. Food was an important time of day. Not just for our health, but for the flavors too.

We took the ride to the Haunted mansion a few times. It seemed someone would have spotted something the others had not. It became a game. I love hidden object games.

We went on the Winnie the Poo ride. Thought I might feel silly being on a kiddie ride without any kiddies in my possession. No. I enjoyed it. Love all of those little charactors.

Later, we met Ty's friend from the DISboards. Her name is JoJo and is from the UK. JoJo's husband was with her. This was not their first trip. We all visited while we ate our Pineapple Dole Whips. YUM. They were lovely people. The two gals swapped token gifts and then we went our separate ways.

Next, I think, was the ride of the Pirates of the Carribean. Ty has always loved Johnny Depp and this experience proved her love for him was real and it would probably last well into her 40's. We were all just having fun. Everything felt.......are we actually here?

And seriously? You think Im 5'8? I suppose you being 5'2 everybody else seems super tall to you, but I am only 5' 5 and a half, we'll say 5'6 on account of shoes. Marzi is 5'8. Poor Mom, everybody is a giant around her. That's too funny and too cute.

I will always remember your reaction to seeing the castle for the first time, it's a precious memory that is etched into my mind and heart.
