They messed up my reservation...All Fixed :)

I booked our very first stay as DVC owners at the Kidani 2 weeks ago for a savannah view 1 bedroom. A couple of days later I called about changing it to a studio, they had no availabilities so they told me about the wait list option. They put me on the list. Well after talking about it being our first stay as DVC we decided to leave things alone. We called this morning and cancelled the wait list, while on the phone she told me the person that I talked to about the wait list didn't complete the request and that we weren't even on one. She confirmed everything i wanted the 1 bedroom,etc. and she said she would leave things as they stood with the original reservation. Well I just checked our reservation and guess what...it said Savannah view deluxe studio.....I am so upset. After she confirmed everything with me it still got screwed up. It is my birthday trip from my husband, and now its wrong. They better be able to fix this, I am really glad I remember the CM's name. I can't believe this. Not a good way to start DVC. I hope this is a one time thing.

don't worry they should be able to fix it.

they have alot of 1-bedrooms generally. just call them tomorrow.

do both have the same reservation number?

No... I checked the numbers and they are different. It says the first one was cancelled and rebooked with a different number. I am going to call tomorrow morning, I hope they come thru and fix this.

Well I called this morning and they fixed it. She could see where I called and cancelled the wait list for HH on memorial day at the same time so she did see that I had called. They now have us booked again for Sunset Savannah side, 1 bedroom, near pool or lobby which is what we had before. I was so relieved. Thanks!

it's great you got your booking back you do know the location however is just a request right? Just making sure. Don't want you to be upset when you arrive if your room isn't near the locations you asked for

Glad they got it worked out. I am betting that when you called your waitlist had come through and thats why they didn't see it. Probably sitting on another CM's desk to be processed. So after your call it was processed, not knowing that you had tried to cancel it.

This is exactly what they said happened. Which is what I was thinking also. I'm just glad they were able to fix it. The only thing I had to redo was the celebration information.

I can't believe this. Not a good way to start DVC. I hope this is a one time thing.

Please don't give up on DVC yet. Sometimes I think that DVC gives first-timers a trial-by-fire. Our worst trip ever was our first trip as DVC members. EVERYTHING seemed to go wrong at the resort, culminating in our room charge privleges being suspended (after I'd stood in a long line for an item) and a call to the resort being met with a "Hmm! I can't understand-looks OK here" and they refused to talk with the person at the register. When we went to the DVC sales office, we met another first-time couple who'd gotten the only studio in DVC at WDW with no balcony. We thought of selling, but are so glad we gave DVC a second chance. So please, hang in there!

Not to hijack but I just came on looking for an answer about wait list. we just booked Oct 19-21 and then 23 thru 11/9 we are missing 21,22 and waitlisted. I can see ressie on line but not waitlist...can you find on line or do you just keep checking reservation to see if it changes...thank you for any help.

Your wait lists don't show on the website. The reservation will show the correct info if the dates come through. Just keep checking there.

Thank you, I thought so but getting feeble and thought I would just check....dilly dallied too long to make ressie and got caught...Oh well we have time...
