I misplaced my info sheet for our trip in Aug. I know I booked Chef Mickey's for 7:35 on Aug 4 (I know this because it's my son's bday and I thought CM would be a cool place to go) Well they can't find my ressie and there is nothing else available. Now we are eating at Goofy's Beach Club breakfast. I was looking forward to seeing Mickey in his chef clothes.

That happened to us. Last year when we arrived we forgot all our Conf. #'s at home and when they printed them off for us at the front desk about half were missing. They must have caller id because when they finally found our Adr it was under my husbands work phone # which was the number he called from to make the Adr but we never gave them that number. We had them check under all our numbers (home, cell and work) and the missing ones popped up. The had also spelled our name wrong by 1 letter so check that too.

Call back and have them check any phone # you could have called from. They also spelled our name wrong by 1 letter so check that too.

Good Luck.

I really doubt Disney World uses caller ID for dining reservations. That's why you have to give it to them at least twice on the phone call.

I NEVER use my home phone to call Disney World. I don't even answer my home phone. But that is the number they have for me, not the cell number I always call from.

To the OP - did the Cast Member you talked to look under your last name as well? Or did you just give them the phone number you thought it was under? You might want to call back and see about checking it from the last name and not the number.

They definitely have caller ID. It probably just doesn't work for cell phones. I called a couple weeks ago from my home phone to make an ADR. We've never given them or anyone that number. Like you, we never use it. Our DS uses it to call his girlfriend & friends. I don't even know what the number is to give anyone. :o I only used it to call for the ADR, because of free long distance. My DH made the rest on his cell phone. Anyway, the CM asked me if I wanted the ADR listed under number ********** (She quoted my home number. At least I'm pretty sure it was. It sounded like it could be right. ;) ) I gave her my cell phone instead, because it would never occur to us to have them check outside our home number.

You may also want to check to see if they reversed your first and last name.
Last year I made 2 sets of ADRs. One set of ADR's were correct, the others had my first name as my last name, and last name as my first. So each time we checked in for our ADR we told them to check both ways.:confused3

thsy do use caller ID because once when I called I commented on how many times I called and she said yes when we read (she read off the number I was calling from) we all draw straws on who has to take your call (we were joking around it wasn;t a mean comment or anything... just proof they do know what number you are calling from because I was at my moms house calling and she is nowhere on our reservations she is not coming with us)

I have made several Adrs over the last few weeks-1 even today and I have not been asked for my phone # by the cm. The only time it was asked was during the opening recording when they ask for either your resv # or you phone #.

That's weird...
On all of my Adr's and phone calls after I have been asked for my phone number many many times.

They looked under my home phone, my cell phone and DH cell phone. They also looked under my name spelled right and wrong. Still no ressie.

How about your room reservation number?

One year, they couldn't find my Le Cellier reservation (while I was still home, and just checking). After much anguish, it was located under my Travel Agent's office's secretary's home phone number - with my name spelled wrong. Go figure.

Have them check under Chef Mickey's for that date. They can search by location and nothing else & every guest dining on that day will show up. Then have them search the list of names for you that way.

Also, just a note for everyone, Disney does have caller ID which shows the number you are calling from, most of the time. However CM's will usually ask for a cell number or any contact phone number. We don't just use what shows up on the ID. Hope you are able to find it. :)

Dumb question I guess, but did you write down the confirmation # when they gave it to you? If they have your name spelled wrong or digit missing in or wrong in the phone #, they should be able to find it that way.

And to think my dh laughs at me each day when I stuff my ADR conf. numbers in my bag each day. I have gotten to a podium, Crystal Palace, and they couldn't locate my ADR. I read the number..it seems they had really misspelled my name..had the first name right, the number in our party right, but the last name was barely recognizable. But, since I had my number right there, at hand, they couldn't argue about it.

Yes, have them do this type of search. We had an issue on our last trip and the CM at the front desk finally found the reservations and they were under a incorrect phone number. Either the the phone number had numbers transposed or had the wrong area code (can't remember which now).

I was ready to panic when they couldn't find our reservation because it was for Chef Mickey's also, and my DD would have lost it if we did not eat there that trip. She had been talking about it for months (ever since we didn't eat there the trip before).
