They just canceled our flight!

We were to leave tomorrow morning at 7:20 am on American Airlines. We are from Mpls. We were going to St. Louis, then to Orlando. Now we don't leave until 5:25 pm and we go to Dalles, then Orlando and do not get in until 12:15 AM on Sunday. I am really bummed!

Take some comfort that at least you'll be safe and comfortable in your house instead of stuck in some airport.

It was due to the weather. We are fine here, but could not fly into St. Louis. Yes I would rather be here then in a airport. Just can't wait to get there.

Thankfully they found a way to get you there despite the weather. I know of somebody snowed in in Philadelphia last year. Knew it was coming, tried to get out a day early but couldn't get a flight. They had planned to cruise and missed the cruise altogether. Not for a lack of trying, there was just nothing available.

It's better to find out now than when you get to the airport or be stuck for a day or more in a connecting city.

It is never fun finding out your vacation is changed, but there is nothing you can do about it. Stay at home nice and warm and then off to Disney you go. It is especially frustrating when the weather at your airport is not the cause, but so goes the game with airline travel. Have a wonderful trip!

I know someone in St Louis who is still without power and doesn't expect it for another day or two. This friend couldn't get a flight out over the weeked and gave up and went home after sitting at the St Louis airport for several hours.
