I LOVE that Vera Bradley print. It's my favorite one so far. My hubs got me the large duffel in that print for Mothers Day. I think I might have to add the cosmetics bag to the collection!

We decided to head to the store at the Yacht Club to work off some of our dinner. While I was there, I took pictures of all of the Magic Band accessories for my lovely DISfriend Popartgirl.

I am loving your trip report and am concerned that my knowledge of all things disney is hugely lacking. I would probably be one of the people who would be sharing my great wealth of knowledge with people and you would be snickering thinking he is so wrong!


We are planning our first trip to WDW As a whole family in febuary and we are staying off property for six days with friends in a house rental and then on property for 4 days. Will we be able to get our magic bands for the first part of our trip, or will we have to just use our tickets? They will not send bands to us because we are from Canada.

I'm glad you had a good meal at Yachtsman (I read two disappointed reviews and was getting a little worried because we loved it there the three times we ate there). I told Mark about the peanut cake and his eyes lit up.

Love your purchases. I have your make-up bag in a hipster and it is the one I am bringing on the trip Friday.

He was so happy to meet her! Now she's a must do for us on upcoming trips. And the selfies were awesome.

The Yachtsman does look delicious. It's on my bucketlist someday because I love steak.

She was great! Of the three I met that trip, she was definitely the best.

Driving is where it's at when you're melting, that's for sure.

It's a great restaurant. If you enjoy steak though, I find that the steak at Jiko is the best.

I very carefully think through my purchases. On this trip, I bought a bit more than normal, but mostly Mom graciously gifted me a lot of items.

That Tink sounds perfect. Wow the Yachtsman looks good! Especially that peanut dessert. Love the Ariel dress. You're right: any activity after a big dinner is a no no lol.

She was awesome!

That peanut dessert was the best part of the meal, but generally dessert is always my favorite part.

Great meet with Tink and the pictures with Popadon are priceless. Glad he decided to loosen up and enjoy the moment! But I did notice in that once picture that Tink's eyebrows are a little harsh. Hmmmmm. Look at me. Being a makeup critic so early in the morning.

Speaking of makeup - love the pallet and all your awesome gifts. The Disney vera pattern is too cute. I don't know how I will resist it much longer.

Dinner looks delish. So glad that everyone enjoyed it. That is one restaurant that I haven't eaten at yet because I just don't love steak. And I think its wrong to go there and NOT order steak. What a conundrum!

I'm glad he decided to loosen up to. I told him he was crazy for not wanting to meet her! They were a little harsh. Someone over applied their makeup a little bit that day. And I am totally guilty of doing that too!

We didn't take Mom there for the longest time either, because she's not a huge red meat eater. But she finally went for it. But in other news....

Caught up on your Dark Side Day (1)



Your update left me wanting to do a lot of the things you described that we have never done.

Well that's cool!

Your breakfast at chik-fil-a sounded great. We have never been and don't have one anywhere close to us, and I don't see us going anytime soon.

The one by us isn't the closest, and generally I call it vacation food, but their stuff is pretty great.

We have been to Universal/IoA for two stays in the past few years, and we will be going back in February for all of the new HP stuff. Can't wait!!!

The Greenhouse at Forbidden Journey- too big and not magical!

Frozen Butterbeer > Regular, and it's not just for breakfast anymore (but does make a great morning snack)

The wait time on Despicable Me- not really worth it

and Transformers is TOTALLY Spiderman. But not as good. Maybe because I haven't really watched Transformers, so I don't really get the storyline. And the ride is down. A lot!

Frozen butterbeer is so much better than regular. I'm glad I tried it.

Right! Transformers was just disappointing for the reason that it was just the same ride as Spiderman. I enjoy Transformers, but it was still a bit disappointing.

I have never been to Wolfgang Puck, the Dining Room or WPE. Yours is the first review I have seen of the DR, and boy does it look awesome. We don't always eat at Downtown Disney, but when we do, we eat in the Jurassic era with dinosaurs. The guys love T-Rex.

It's so good! I highly recommend that restaurant. I still haven't eaten at T-Rex yet. I think maybe because it reminds me of Rainforest so much, and we have a Rainforest near us.

Also have not had a Ghiradelli sundae. That must be corrected!!!

Um, you definitely need to get to Ghirardelli stat! It's so good. I try to get one on each trip. Sometimes it doesn't work out, but I do make a concerted effort.

I don't believe you would be able to get your Magic Bands early, but I'm not sure because you are from Canada. They won't ship them to you? That's crazy. You can buy bands when you get to the park if you want to use MB's the whole time. Maybe call Disney to ask, because that one I'm not sure about.
