I feel like i might be posting between posts but i'm just excited!!

ALL THE FOOD

I AM GOING TO EAT THE FRICK OUT OF ONE OF THOSE SANDWICHES IN AUGUST!! It'll be a heavy food day....

The dark side won really?! I'm still convinced when we got it I got the non alcoholic one (I paid for the boozey one though so I'd be pissed) I couldn't taste the booze at all and it seemed like it was just watered down kool aid, I didn't even finish it...

Hahaha, yup you totally posted between, but hey girl...I do it all the time.

The only reason that the dark side won for me was the flavor, because let's be honest, neither one of the drinks were strong by any means. I just liked the taste of the dark side more.

The weather was miserable today! We hid inside all day. Tomorrow is supposed to be hot and stormy, but Wednesday is supposed to be nice again, which is good because I have plans to go to the Lake County Fair with friends.

Since the picture was in Morocco maybe he was doing his Aladdin impression - "Do you trust me?"

I love your SW outfit! And I can't wait to see the Jedi Mickey dinner pictures!

Edit: or I could have waited 10 minutes to read the beginning of dinner. I love Chip and Dale as Ewoks!!!

It was, wasn't it! And it was another hot one today. I'm hoping the weather forecast holds for Thursday, because that will be an ideal running day for me.

That Star Wars character meal looks pretty fun! And that mention of next year's meals makes me think maybe we could meet up with you there if things work out for both of our trips!

The sww meal looks awesome! I know jenna probably really would've enjoyed either of them, and so would've I but the money was steep and I wasn't sure how it was going to be, but now after reading everything I definitely hope they add it next year and I'll totally do it!

Oh my god, it was totally steep. I tossed it back and forth for a while before finally deciding that we were going to do it. I really hope that they do it again next year.

That Star Wars dinner looked like it was a blast! I like your outfit and your mom's shirt. Btw, I love that your dessert plate has a few random tater tots on it!

I'm not gonna lie, I was totally looking for Clint every time I went back to DHS on that trip.

It was so much fun! I needed the random tots. I had missed them on my prior trip up, and decided that I still needed them when I had dessert.

What a great update.

That ice cream sandwich in Epcot. Omg that has been on my bucket list. I'm sure in September when I finally get one it will be one of those "get in my belly" moments.

I loved the picture with your parents and Mickey - super adorable! I think I like Minnie the best, she was a cute Leia!

Looks like a good assortment of food, too! Those desserts look DELISH.

It was a highlight of our trip, I'm so glad that we did it.

The variety of food was great for the meal.

First, I would totally join in on a PHM PTR... I'm not doing the Princess weekend this year, but am doing a half here in Tampa that same weekend - it would be fun to see/hear about your progress!

Second - I'm with you on the "they don't look like runners" thing. I saw some runners during the marathon that were BLOWING by me (some were twice my age for sure!), and I was just in awe! I was so inspired by that, because it just shows that you don't have to have a certain body type to do a race. "Fit" comes in all sizes and shapes, and it took a few races to help me figure that out!

Also - LOVE that you have tater tots on your dessert plate. I can eat them at any meal, any time of day!!

I'm definitely leaning more towards starting a PTR for it, so stay tuned.

When I first started running, I had this whole idea in my head. And believe me, plenty of people look at me and probably think there's no way I run either. But I completely agree. I had to change my way of thinking with that too.

Let me tell you. Those tots were awesome! So crispy and so good.

I love watching for your different outfits. They look so fun. I am also loving your food pictures. I'll be heading to Epcot in September and I will have to watch for the nudel gratin as well as the ice cream brioche!

I have to say that your home location pulled me into the trip report. I used to live outside of Milwaukee and that was my home airport for years. Since we moved to Florida we had family move to the Dekalb area so we fly into Midway or O'Hare to see them, which ever has the best direct flights.

Glad you felt the meal was worth it ... definitely if you are into meeting the characters it is a great way to meet at bunch at once without waiting in lines.

I don't know what they were thinking with the naming of the drinks and the lightsaber selection, but hey. What can you do?

I really should have figured that there was no need for me to get the big cupcake the day before, because they had the mini ones at the buffet. They were super yummy though.

Awww, that stinks. See, I've always gotten the ice cream later in the day, so the opening time has never really been a factor for me.

That picture is exactly how I always react to cute men too.

That picture of my parents is one of my favorites from the whole trip.

It was interesting. I had one major complaint with it. The cupcake itself was way too heavy! It was more like cornbread than it was a cupcake, which was not what I wanted. The flavor was fine, the maple frosting was yummy. I think the pretzels on top could have been done away with. They were completely innocuous to be honest.

So all in all. Meh. Was a bit of a disappointment.

It was just too heavy! Cupcakes should be light and fluffy, and it just wasn't. It disappointed me.

What great character interactions. We went to SWW in May too and it was such a whim, like I booked it two weeks before going and there weren't any reservations left for the meal. I'm also hoping they do it again next year as my boys really were wanting to go in every time we walked past. Looks like you had a GREAT time! (What is the other SWW meal you are talking about?-I want to make sure I explore all opportunities, I'm really hoping to plan out next year much better)

Nope, those were how they sold them. Totally weird. I mean....if the person who had that idea worked for me....you're fired.

The other meal they had was a breakfast at the Sci-Fi Dine In with original characters, mainly villains. I heard that one was a lot of fun too.

I can definitely see how you'd hesitate to pay 60 bucks a person for a DH h dinner! but I guess you're paying for the experience more than the food. Those costumes the characters we're wearing we're amazing. Storm Trooper Donald?! How cool.
And based on the limited availability and the delayed seating, I'd think it was enough of a success to bring back next year. I kind of hope so, because an unlimited supply of those Darth Vader cupcakes would be pretty tempting to me.



I agree wholeheartedly, the Dark. Side was the yummy and should have been the Force. I actually thought the same thing when I ordered. Red, light saber, Death Star....just makes sense.
