Good morning Mayers!

RF - Have a great time on your trip!

Jo - I hope you feel better soon - are you taking anything? I don't think those burgers would taste that great even if I overnighted them to you. That pretzel stick was very good too. You just have to come out here to try them. :)

Trixi - Great looking HP cake!

Shelly - Are you packed yet?

Lake - Sending some California sunshine and warmth to you!

Mari - HI!!! I hope the dentist trip went well. Best wishes on your studies...I hope you don't have a lot of home work.

It is funny you mentioned that Shelly, I was about to ask if anyone else had seen it before. We met Lou Mongello, of wdwradio.com who also produces and writes for this magazine at his D23 booth. Bought a few copies and really enjoyed it a lot. The photography and layout is very nice. The articles are good and they seem to cover a lot of niches that a Disneyholic will enjoy. They print it on quality paper so it is nice and will last a long time and I am sure become a collectible because it covers a lot of WDW history in here. Definitely going to subscribe to it too.

Do any of you get the Celebrations Magazine?

http://www.celebrationspress.com/

I ordered it last month and should get my first issue in October! :goodvibes

 Nope! I'm trying to hold off until at least October!

Thanks for the great shout out--- it was so much fun and so entertaining to see!

Jo

Thank you NC and Jo!

Bummer to hear that you got sick on that ride Jo. We love it so much...we could ride it all day long. Filming on it is a bit tricky, but I was happy with the results. I just made sure the camera was strapped on to my wrist tightly. LOL!

How are you feeling?

Sea that video was a SCREAM!!!

Too cute!

It is really cute. It starts in 6th grade here. Sort of a manners and ettiquette class combined with dancing. They learn to waltz, foxtrot, line dance, etc. The girls get dressed up in cute party dresses and the boys all wear khakis and navy blazers with a tie. At the end of each dance, the boys say to the girls, "Thank you for the dance." And the girls reply, "Thank you, I enjoyed it." It is just a scream when the parents get to attend in December as the kids are just so funny and a little socially awkward. The boys and girls do not EVEN make eye contact the first year. By 8th grade they are so much more comfortable and make eye contact and even enjoy the program.

The kids all go to dinner together who are in the same carpool. We have 20 something girls in our carpool. Lots of fun. It is sort of the social thing to do for this age group. They also have to learn how to order for themselves at restaurants, how to pay and how to tip, etc.

Here is the offical cotillion information:

This four year program for sixth through ninth grade children has become a tradition for many Little Rock families. The curriculum includes dance and social graces. Etiquette is taught and good manners are put into practice. Line dances and partner dances are introduced and music is by a live four piece band. Proper etiquette for receiving lines, grand marches, introductions, trading partners and the serving of refreshments is mastered early in the program. Dances are on Saturday nights from September through December

I'm all set for business.:rotfl2:

Check out the new DL commercial for Halloween time at the parks.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yE9xVG9oPE

This is the spookiest and creepiest commercial I have seen in a long time from DL.

It all starts this Friday with a new Halloween fireworks show that has Zero flying over the castle and a appearance by Jack Skellington too. A new "ghost" ride overlay on Space Mountain is premiering also as well as HM Holiday.

Great shout out Tommy.... thanks.... i'm telling u it's my mission to get out to DL.....

Guess what guys my sis got engaged.... the youngest one.... yay and guess what she is thinking.......... Having her wedding in WDW or a Disney Cruise.....but that probably won't happen for a couple of years her ahem "fiancee" is still finishing up college... she is only 22.... but i'm more xcited about the fact that she wants to do it in disney.....

Thank you Mari! :snooty: That is awesome about your sister having a Disney wedding. They had a exhibit booth at D23 for those who want to do a wedding at the parks - I didn't pick up anything at the booth since I was already married and it might been kind of strange with my wife there wondering what was up with that if I did take a brochure! :rotfl:

Here is a link to a couple of photos of DD just before cotillion.

We have had a crazy night.

DS hurt his elbow at football. The trainer was not at practice. So I pick him up after and I am not sure what to do with him. I had already dropped DD at dance. I call DH who says take him to Baptist Hospital to the ER (as we think it may be less busy than Children's.) We walk in the ER at Baptist, it was chalked full of people, mostly really OLD people. The receptionist asked how old DS is, and she sends us out of the ER and across the street to the After Hours pediatric clinic. HOLY CRAP. We walk in the after hours clinic and EVERYONE is wearing a surgical mask. The receptionist there tells us it will be 3 hours before we can be seen! So we leave.

I just hope we weren't there long enough to be exposed to SWINE flu! :scared1:

So I tell DS I will call the pediatrician 1st thing in the morning to see if we can get in to get X-rayed!

I think he may have a little chip on his elbow bone, bless his heart!
