Sea- any news on Debbie? I'm still praying for her and her family.

Gosh, I forgot to update you. She has stage four brain cancer, very aggressive. Don't know exactly what kind or type of treatment they are going to do yet. The family is devastated - a living nightmare. Thank you for praying and asking about Debbie.

My group is seeing Love Happens with Jennifer Aniston and Aaron Eckhart..it looks cute. Our group takes turns picking the movie. Actually this weekend we started a fun little movie group blog. We call our selves the Cinema Girls. We thought it would be fun to list our movies, and reviews online. www.cinemagirlsblog.blogspot.com
Feel free to check us out.

I will check it out! Sounds really fun! :goodvibes

PS- Hey Trix....... got any more of those pics from yesterday???;)

They're headed your way in just a second!

What are all your kids going as for halloween this year????

DD10 is going to be Hermione (again) and DD7 hasn't decided yet. They're both super excited that they can wear their costumes at school! They couldn't at the private school.

I am having a dickens of a time figuring out what Ethan should be, or getting him to decide.

I haven't heard that expression in a loooong time! Thank you for saying "dickens"...it brought back some wonderful memories of our old neighbor from many years ago...she used to say it all the time. :goodvibes

Of course, I am still in the running for worst mother of the year. I yelled at Chloe this morning. :sad2: I had told her to practice her drums last night. She didn't do it. I also told her to shower. She didn't do it. So I washed her hair in the sink this morning, while I "talked loudly" to her, (which my kids consider yelling.) I also grounded her from her computer since she played games on it instead of practicing her drums and taking a shower. Why, oh why do I feel bad and she is the one who disobeyed? :sad2:

I will be looking for my Emmy nomination for worst mom any day now.

You are not a worst mom...you're a best mom! You told her what was expected of her and she didn't do as she was told...you followed through with consequences. I'd like to be better at following through with consequences...sometimes I just wish I didn't have to deal with it. :headache:

How's that for being a "worst mom"? :sad2:

Sea-
I'm so sorry to hear Debbie's news.

I will be praying continuously for a miracle to happen in their lives.

 Thank you so much. I have been a basket case the last 24 hours.

I often tell my kids, "All those things you THINK you are getting away with, well the truth is, I KNOW what you did, I am just too tired to deal with it"

Chloe is NOT upset with me. She will not get to do her DS or her computer tonight, but she will get to watch Biggest Loser if she gets her stuff done.

:thumbsup2

day today.

Or as Jo would say, "It's been one LONG behind day today!"

Went to pediatrician, where no one was wearing a mask to ward off swine flu and we were able to sit in the well room.

After being there awhile, we were sent down to x-ray. X-Ray tech immediately said, "Mom, that elbow is broken, but the radiologist will have to confirm it."

Radiologist confirmed it.

Back upstairs to peds. Wait for referral to ortho.

Drive across town and thru Taco Bell.

Get to ortho and wait to be worked in. :rolleyes1

Ortho comes in and says he has good news. The arm is NOT broken.

What? :confused3 Are you sure? (I really said this.)

Yup! Not broken just VERY BADLY BRUISED.

So, I asked what on earth made the radiologist and X-Ray tech think it was broken. And the doc replied that it was his growth plate. That somehow this can cause confusion.

Any who, he is in a sling and out of football the next two weeks. Maybe longer. He will probably need PT to regain his full range of motion. Full recovery may take 4 to 6 months.

Just got home tonight...sooooooooo tired. I've been running on pixie dust for 5 days straight, but now that I'm home, I've hit the wall. Need to do laundry like mad, run errands for my mom tomorrow morning, then we are going up to Reno for 2 nights because Thursday is my bday...

NC, glad the elbow's not broken! Mike, my son in the pics, broke his elbow when he was 4 (playing Superman and he jumped off the bunk bed ladder ) and he had to have surgery and have the elbow held together with pins for something like 8 weeks. AND we were supposed to keep him calm and settled down for the whole time so he didn't dislodge the pins -- yeah, right  he was 4 and REALLY hyper :yay:

Jo, I read through several pages...did the doctor definitely diagnose swine flu? :guilty: How's the rest of your family doing?

Sea, great pics and shout (scream) out video! I am amazed you filmed all that stuff on your PHONE  We had so much fun with you guys :thumbsup2 And Chris was so sweet to be the runner for fast passes and we sure got the red carpet treatment with you saving front row seats for the fireworks and Fantasmic! :goodvibes It was great to see you and Lena and Chris again, and wonderful to meet Cornelia...such a sweet lady! It's going to be a busy few days, but I'll try to get a DL TR started over the weekend...

Trixie -- Hermione sounds like a great costume :thumbsup2

Mari -- that would be so cool to attend a Disney wedding!

Morning MAYers!

Welcome back KB! :goodvibes Glad you had such a great time at DL.

How are you feeling today JO?

Supposed to be rainy here today, but still around 80.

GACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMGosh- soooooo glad it isn't broken but yikes--- that did indeed make for one LONG BEHIND day!!!!

I so hope he's feeling better soon.

Sometimes a break is better than an awful sprain b/c they can cast it.

So sorry he is out of football. What a bummer.:guilty:

Hugs to the New Crew Household.

Morning my MAYers from Ms. Swiney BEHIND-Y

:lmao:

KB- welcome back- so sorry it's back to reality now. I'm so glad you had an awsome trip- can't wait to read all about it.:) Happy Early Birthday to you-- hope your trip to Reno is awesome and fun. How is your Kitty doing??? How did Mike like DL? He looked so tired in that video.:rotfl:
As far as my DX of the Pig Flu... nope - didn't go to the Dr- I just Dx'ed my own self with all the symptoms. The Dr's aren't testing for it anymore- and only going off of Symptoms. And comparing my symptoms to the ones listed on line- they say if you have 3 or more of them, you have it- and well, I've got them all except the nausea and other pleasantries that go along with that.:goodvibes

Hi Shelly- I'm feeling a bit better today! I think I'm on the mend! Yay me. Fever is still at 100.6 this morning. The aches are down a whole bunch- sore throat almost gone. Still sniffling, sneezing- but not much cough. Just really really weak and still get dizzy when I stand.
Hey thanks for the Punkin- I got to get it into my sig.:goodvibes
Ya'll are having nice warm weather! It was 58 degrees when I got up this morning here- but the last 4 days have been such a blur- I was so surprised when Mark told me it was Wednesday.

Okay- not in bed today, but on the couch in the media room-- woo hoo- I'm making progress. Someone talk at me.

:happytv:

Morning MAYers!

Thanks for all the well wishes for my son. I sent him to school today. They get out at 2:20 so it should be a light for him.

I am exhausted! How is is that sitting around Dr.'s offices can be so tiring? :confused3

KB - The X-Ray tech and Radiologist where talking but not saying the word surgery to me. A comment something like, "He may need a therapy that is not a cast." So, I got I looked like this :confused3 and the word surgery was whispered in my ear and I looked like this . I don't know how you did it with a 4 year old. I would have :faint: I was so glad that DS did not hear it.

Jo - Glad you are feeling better, but this PIG FLU is just hanging around way too long for this Hog Fan. I hope you are fully recovered by the weekend. Are the Gators Playing?

Whacha wanna talk about, Jo? :hyper2:

:lmao:
Hey- thanks for my Tebow pic o'the day yesterday! I tried twice to PM you and it failed both times. :confused3 I have to work on it again and see if it will work today. (I'm oretty sure it was operator error, LOL) I loved the eye candy. They all were positively luscious.:lmao: (The BOING! one made me laugh- I didn't know Homeslice could get that much air!):rotfl2:

NC--- yow- surgery. So glad it's only a bruise. Hope he has an okay day at school. I know how awful it is--- only too well, with Drew and his two broken wrists.:sad2:
The Gators do indeed play this weekend-- we go to Kentucky. And so many of our players have the PIG FLU too!!!! Yuck, yuck yuck. One of our receivers played in the game with it on Saturday and ran for a TD- with 102 fever! IDK how he did it.
LOL- one of our friends had on a shirt at the AR/GA game this weekend- it said "I don't have the Swine Flu- I've just got Hog Fever":laughing:

Have you seen that shirt??????

Jo

Glad you are feeling at least a little better. Are you eating anything? I know I am always so dizzy when I am sick because I just don't eat. Anything. And my body is not used to that because normally I am eating all the time! :rotfl:

Hope you can find a spot for your pumpkin!
icon_mickey_halloween.gif
Just when I didn't think I had any space left in my sig I managed to squeeze it in! Remember when our signature space used to be so much bigger? Ah, the good old days. :cloud9::laughing:

Gosh- that is just the strangest thing- I never have lost my appetite with this flu. I am a bit queasy in the mornings soon as I wake up- but it quickly goes away. Mark has been really good about pumping the OJ and fluids into me. And last night- we all had ChicFilA sandwiches.

I have to do some work on my sig. It's not looking so good.:lmao:

I'm trying to hold off on booking anything - but I'm still shooting for May 1st at WDW. Mark just asked "When are we going to WDW? " b/c our neighbors are going on spring break and he thought we were going around that time. So i told him and I said I hated going there w/o the kids and he said "We could go to Cabo".
But truthfully I don't want to go sit on a beach and do nothing. :confused3 I know he likes it -- he said
"But it's relaxing". To which I said "It bores me to tears."

Sooooooooooo- I might be needing to nail down what resort I want and make the down payment and start planning a "sleep all day, go to the pool and do what he wants" wdw vacation- just so he isn't hating Disney.

Hum. Maybe i could go to the beach with him and then try to take the kids to wdw by myself in the summer.

I think I've lost my mind.:lmao:
