Shelly-
Your Hershey trip looks like fun.

Sorry there were spiders everywhere and the hotel needed repair. Good thing you didn't waste your points on a free room there.:)

Mark gets points from Marriott b/c he travels so much. He was, at one point, a platinum member--- that means he spent lots of time away from home, LOL.

But- we always stay at Marriott properties everywhere if we can.

ANd I'm with you- I actually prefer outside entrances.

Our last night at our hotel in Charleston I heard these teenagers yelling and screaming at each other at 1 am. I wasn't asleep b/c I was too wired after the wedding. So I sat up and was getting ready to call security when I realized I recognized the voices...

It was my cousin's children-- the girl, age 19 had locked her brother- age 18 out of the room and he was trying to get back in.:rotfl:

I could've wrung their necks.:rotfl:

Sea, praying for Debbie, her doctors, and her family today.

Jo, I gotta agree -- you made the right decision. If you are going to WDW, you really want to make the trip special. It will be nice to have that time around the holidays at home to decorate, etc.

Shelly...whenever we go somewhere, I always look the hotel up on TripAdvisor to see what kind of reviews it gets. Kind of nice to know what other travelers thought. That site has also helped us find places we didn't know about, hidden gems...

Lake, hope your van has more life left in it...it really is nice to not have to worry about a car payment. ::yes::

Yeah, last June when DH's company put him up at the Holiday Inn Express in State College and the kids and I went out to join him for a few days it was so nice and big and beautiful and clean and new and even a bit elegant (for a Holiday Inn). :goodvibes Not really the case at this place. :sad2:

Hi everyone...Debbie survived the surgery. They were unable to remove the whole tumor, they are testing it now to identify it. That is all I know for now. The family is very grateful for everybody's prayers and support. :)

Well our beast is a little less beastly, and my wallet a lot less full.
We tuned it up, and had some parts replaced, and it turns out there is still a lot of life left in it yet. :thumbsup2
So I would rather be out 600.00 now, than that same amount in a payment every month. It's been a great van actually I shouldn't call it the Beast.

But after the Beauty and the Beast reference I received earlier. :rotfl::flower3: I might just keep that name.

Prayers for her family and friends. And I believe in miracles, and hope Debbie and Malik are two of them.

Had a meeting this afternoon with one my clients in downtown LA. Got done about 12:45 and decided to see if Philippes was busy...the birth place of the french dip sandwich!

http://www.philippes.com/

I vowed if I could find a parking space, then it was meant to be...and sure enough, someone had just pulled out of a space just for me.

It wasn't too busy at all only a couple of people in each line.

Got the beef french dip, sour cream and onion chips, coke and fresh apple pie!

OMG it was soooooo good! This place is iconic in Los Angeles - a must see and eat place. Even though it has sawdust on the floor and you might have to share a table with somebody you don't know, all is forgiven when you take a little bite of heaven.

Sea - I am so happy about Debbie's surgery  That is great news. Hopefully they have good news when they review everything. :grouphug:

Not doing much tonight.. I was in the mood for chinese food like crazy - so I decided to make instead of spending the money for take out. :goodvibes I am making honey sesame chicken and rice. :yay:

See you guys tomorrow!

GO STEELERS!!!

LOL- Good Morning!

I had to do soemthing with her while I brushed the mop of hair she has. My computer was sitting there and I said "Here- talk to the MAYers." She said "WHO????"

:rotfl:

Lake-- well, at least the beast will make it another day or two.;) And I agree with you- paying $600 one time is much better than paying $600 monthly. :sad2: I can't wait until our monthly payments are gone.

Sea- how did Debbie do thru the night? Prayers still being said for her.

RF--- :cheer2:Go Steelers!:cheer2:

Hey to everyone else.

Today I have to take Beau Gator the Bulldog in to the Vet if I can get an appt- I think his allergies have turned into a Yeast Infection-- it happens every year at this time- so he needs an antibiotic.

And I have to go to Sam's -- I'm making Italian Beef sandwiches for dinner tomorrow night--- football all day, you know!!:rotfl:

I'll pop in later.

Happy Friday Mayers!!! This is the big weekend - D23 at the Anaheim Convention Center! Just printed out my tickets - my wife and boys are pumped up for this. We are leaving at 6am tomorrow morning so that we can have breakfast down there at Mimi's Cafe then doors open for members at 8 am. My friends tell me it has been awesome so far. Can't wait!

Good morning MAYers!

Hope you had a wonderful day at school Belle! :cutie:

Sounds like a fun weekend Sea!

Thanks for mentioning the vet JO. I need to make my doggie an appointment for his shots so he'll be all up to date to go to the kennel in November!

Guess I'll go check on my PTR and then do my daily airfare check!

How's airfare today???

Jo

Yes, I did join up. I think that their breakfasts are the best ever - and my wife loves their muffins - they are so good.

I will take lots of photos and video to share with you what we saw at D23.

Update on Debbie - she is having a rough time in ICU. The doctors could not remove all the tumor. They won't have any lab results in 3-5 days. They are concerned that the tumor might grow back too. Thank you for praying!
