This is so depressing. I just don't know what to do. If I grab the AT flight down for $99 we won't even land until 4:00. And the best SW has for a flight back is $124. I guess I need to do the math and see where we will come out. . . .

What did you decide to do??? :headache:

hey all...sorry i haven't checked in... i've been busy with taking care of school stuff.... i totally forgot how much reading went into college. sheesh.....

guys i am soooo missing WDW right now. i wish i could go back now but it doesn't look like i'll be back there until at least 2012. 2011 we are doing a family cruise. unless i could figure out a way to go for like 3 days in 2011 either before the cruise or after. we'll see what happens.

i have to go back and read what you guys have been up to but first i have to finish reading this chapter for my chemistry class.... did u guys know that after 5 years science classes don't count anymore. i hate that i have to take chem all over again as well as anatomy and physiology... 2 of my hardest classes.... wish me luck throughout the semester....

Hi all - waiting in line for the "making of toy story midway mania" seminar. Yesterday they announced the new expansion of Fantasyland at WDW. The previews look amazing. Also they are installing a new version of Star Wars at DL - they showed us a preview of it in 3D! And they also gave us limited edition numbered posters! It is going to be a super ride!
Lots of things to see and do -have a great day!

Sounds like fun!

Evening MAYers.

Hey Mari! Thanks for checking in. You must be crazy busy with school and everything. Good luck! :wizard: We sure miss you around here!

I got airfare one way - the way back. Still not sure what to do about a flight down. . .

We had 2 wins in soccer today!! :cheer2::cheer2:

Hi guys. I went and had dinner with my family tonight. :cool1: We talked about our WDW trip for next year the whole time :goodvibes

Well, so far it seems like it's going to be a busy week! We're doing 8 days (dates TBD - probably last week in Oct or last few days Oct/first few days in Nov) doing 2 days at Universal to see Harry Potter, MNSSHP AND the fright nights at Universal (my uncle is waaay too excited about this for us not to do this ...) 'The Grand Tea' at the GF for my Aunt's B-day request and while she and I do that - my uncle, cousin and Bob are all going golfing! :wizard:

Some ADR's that we threw out there (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are

Le Cellier - D
O'hana - D
Yachtsman - D
HDDR -D
Jiko - D
Narcoosees - D
LTT - L
Raglan Rd - L
Earl of Sandwich - L
Tusker House - B
Kona Cafe - B

Still unsure where we are staying. If we get free dining again next Oct like they did this year we will stay at CSR. If not, we will stay at POP again.

I am getting excited! :yay: LOL. Only a year and 2 months to go! :rotfl:

Just a quick pop in because it's REALLY late, but I'm waiting to put a load of clothes in the dryer...

Sea, sounds like the Expo was great!

RF, your ADR ideas sound like fun :thumbsup2 We really enjoyed Le Cellier (L), Raglan Road (D), Tusker House (L), and 'Ohana (B). Haven't tried the others...

Trixie -- whoo hoo, look at my ticker tick away the days! :goodvibes

Shelly -- so you got the $99 flights back at least? I'm really looking forward to trying Jet Blue, hope the flights go well. I'm just thrilled to be getting from Sacramento to Anaheim in one hour instead of 7 or 8!

Kitty update: poor Chloe-cat is still very sick. Vet rechecked, finally got a look in her mouth and said it looked okay, so they are totally baffled. She had a fever, and has had one off and on since. Tim keeps giving her the pills and liquid, but she still isn't using the litter box -- because she still isn't eating. They wanted to do another $400 in blood work and ultrasounds with no treatment ideas at all, so we just said no and brought her home. I researched on pet med websites and they suggested catnip and a tiny bit of -- get this -- valium, as a cat appetite stimulant. Like 1/4 of a 5 mg tablet. We had a couple here, so Tim gave her a tiny bit (they say not for prolonged use because it can affect the liver, but we are getting desperate). I bought some baby food chicken and beef, and she isn't digging it at all, but I am shoving about 2 teaspoons down her throat when Tim pills her. She actually had the strength to hop on our bed this morning and sleep near us, and when Tim picked her up tonight, she gave him a tiny tiny purr, which we haven't heard in days. No clue if she will recover, but at least those things were encouraging. :confused3

So I'm putting Emmy on the school bus today for her first full day.
It's going to be so quiet here today with no kids.:sad1:

Morning!

KB - I'm sorry about your kitty. :guilty: At least she seems to be moving slowly but surely in the right direction. I know when Handsome was sick when he was a kitten we did everything that we could to get him better. We spent crazy amounts of time at the vet - and then at the ER vet - because our regular vet was an @** and didn't diagnose him properly. :sad2: We had to give him medication 2x a day for a month (that was fun... :scared1:) and then he was fine :goodvibes

Is she going to be OK when you go on your vacation? Do you have someone to take good care of her while you are gone?

Lake - Don't be lonely today! Hang out with the MAYers! I am going to try to be in and out today - but I may be busy at work again.

*sigh*

I hate Mondays.

Good morning MAYers! :goodvibes

It's going to be a busy week here. I'll be at the school at least 2 mornings this week. Plus I need to call and coordinate volunteers for picture day for next week. Soccer 3 nights. I'm sure the homework is going to start this week. I still need to find airfare. I'd like to update my PTR with my Day 1 plans, if only I knew what they were going to be!! :rotfl:

Oh, and I'd like to stain the deck/balcony! :faint:

Lake, we're here for you.

Trix, how did the girls do the rest of the week last week?

Shelly~the girls did great the rest of the week. They love it there!

This morning DD9 had a bit of a hard time, as is typical on Monday mornings. But she did it. I tried to distract her with talk of her birthday, which is Thursday. She's going to be 10 in a few days! AUGH! How did that happen???

Morning Mayers!

Lake - I hope Emmy has a great day!

KB - I hope Chloe-Kitty feels better. :flower3:

Well, I think DS is playing in a game tonight (will know more after he see the coach today. Which will basically mean two football games for him this week, as well as we will probably try to attend the Sr. High game AND DS and DH will go to the Razorback game in Fayetteville. Whew... lots of football.

DD has cotillion on Saturday so I need to get her white gloves, shoes, and hose. I do have her dress! Thank heavens!! She has outgrown all of her jeans and needs those. I just can't keep my kids in clothes in right now. Good grief!

Shelly -- so you got the $99 flights back at least? I'm really looking forward to trying Jet Blue, hope the flights go well. I'm just thrilled to be getting from Sacramento to Anaheim in one hour instead of 7 or 8!

No, I got flights back for $124. More than I've ever paid before. But I had a SW credit. So after that I paid $260 total.

Now if I could just get a good deal on a flight down. I have come to the conclusion that we are going to most likely end up with an afternoon flight down. SW has only one non-stop morning flight down and it is at $229 each. Not going to happen. So if that doesn't drop real soon I will have to book either the SW or the AT 1:50 flight down, whoever has the best deal. Which totally screws up my 4:45 dinner at Sci-Fi that night. :sad2:

hey everyone.

Been at the vet this morning with Beau Gator.

KB- hope your kitty is all better before you leave. Nothing like having a sick one at home when you're not there.

Trix-- glad the girls are enjoying school. Hope it continues. And birthdays... oh boy. Next birthday, MCat can get her driver's permit. And this past FRiday night, I let her go by herself to the HS football game------- with just one other friend.
My world has turned upside down.

They grow too fast.:sad1:

Shelly-- your flight-- you got the one back for $99? How high are the ones down today? I cna't believe they shot up like that. Gross.

Mari-- I know too well how awful those courses are! I hated Chem-- but loved loved loved anatomy & Phys I, II and III. Didn't care for the labs, of course. Blech. My favorite, though, is the first day of Med-Surg when the teacher walks in and slams the 500 page book down and announces "You are now responsible for everything written in this book."
Yeah,...... that's fun.:rolleyes1

You can do it. If you have any ?'s..... or just need some reassurance from someone who's been thru the hell---- as well as the rewards... let me know. I'll hold your hand.

Sea--- did you get to see J.Depp as Cap'n Jack????? Or was that Friday?

Hi NC----- how's the football season going? Any more snakes???:scared1:

RF-- wow- that's looking like a great vacation. How about Hawaii? Is that still on the table?

Hello to everyone else.
Including the Lurkers. (That means you, Jane.)

Jo

Lake-- I hope Emmy has a wonderful first day of school-- and that her Mommy isn't too sad.

You know, sometimes, a little retail therapy does a world of good to a blah day.

So hard to have an empty house.:guilty:

Jo

Shelly-- your flight-- you got the one back for $99? How high are the ones down today? I cna't believe they shot up like that. Gross.

Jo

No, the one back was $124. AT has a flight down for $99 at 1:50. But in recent years they have been known to change the flight times at the last minute, or add a stop. So I don't really want to chance it. Plus they have baggage fees now. Even though in the past we have had better experiences with them over SW. SW has a 1:50 flight at $139. I'm hoping it will come down to at least $99.

I am about to pull my hair out!!! :scared1:
