YAY ~ Can't wait!! :yay: I bet you'll remember everything just fine. You haven't hit 30 yet, you should still have a good memory!! :rotfl:

:rotfl2:

True, and it's WDW related... So it should come right back.

I have been doing my new job for almost a year now and I still ask a billion questions.... And yet, somehow I know at the drop of a hat what year the parks opened, the average attendance, which rides to be at at which times..... and how many miles you walk on average per day on a WDW vacation (FYI - I heard it's 16 :thumbsup2 which I always thought was a little high... but whatev)

:lmao:

November hours, shows, parades, and fireworks are slowly coming out throughout the day!! :woohoo:

Looks like the The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights starts on the 10th! That was a pleasant surprise! When I originally booked the CM told me that we would miss that by a few weeks. I may have to tweak my schedule to make sure we don't miss that. Anyone seen it before?

Looks like Spectro is showing 3 times a week. And 3 other nights is MVMCP. And Fantasmic is only showing 2 times a week. That was surprising, I figured it would be at least 3 in November.

I think I need to tweak my whole schedule a bit now!

Did you guys hear about this??

It happened like 10 minutes from my house. I am going to Bridgeville (right near where this happened) tonight to look at houses with my friend Rachel.

It's really sad. I can't believe it made national news... His blog telling everything that he intended on doing is one of the top stories at Yahoo also. :sad2:

I'll never understand. :guilty:

I saw that on the local news last night RF. :sad2: How terrible. I didn't realize it made the national news.

Make that international, it's the first thing I heard on the news this morning, and then my 88 year old grandmother (who lives north of Toronto) called to amke sure I was home. So sad that it happened.

This was the topic of conversation at my gym this morning. I will have to ask my hubby if they do the billing for this club. :sad2: I hope not. There has been enough tradgedy for them this week as it is.

Hooray for the hours!

Shelly - The Osborne's are a family here in Little Rock. They used to put these lights up in their yard each year. Jennings Osborne asked his daughter Breezy one year what she wanted for Christmas and she said "Lots of Christmas lights Daddy!" Well, Jennings was not going to let his only child down.

So, they put up a lot of lights! And then the next year more lights. Their neighbor's complained so they bought the houses on either side of them. Then they put lights up in those yards too. Well, people from all over the state would drive here to see the lights. It caused lots of traffic issues and made for some pretty angry neighbors. Well, I think the neighbors sued them or there was some type of legal issue with the city due to traffic issues, maybe one of these or both.

Well, long story short, they started looking for a new home for the lights, and Disney World was more than happy to have them.

The Osborne's are a terrific family and do a lot of philanthropic things here in the state.

I had heard that story about the Osborne's. But I didn't realize they were from Little Rock. How cool! I am very happy that we are going to be able to see the display! :goodvibes

Morning!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Sulley- hope your Birthday was extra special!:goodvibes

Shelly--- are you not going to go to MVMCP??? I think you should. ;) Have you ever been to one of those after parties? You know we went to the MNSSHP-- I'd love to go to the Christmas one. I think they are worth every penny.
Have you ever seen it "snow" on Main Street? (It's beautiful, to see the castle with the snow swirling around you- just don't taste it.;)) Hot Chocolate and warm cookies -- as many as you can eat???? :lovestruc Little to no lines and a special parade???? Have I convinced you yet?

Am I the only one who's never seen this before? http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/
I'm guessing I will be spending a little bit of time on there.:rotfl:

On Dec 10th, the Home Depot ESPNU awards ceremony for football will be at the Boardwalk at WDW. Of course, Tebow will be there, along with all of the other great football players of the year. I am DYING to go. Seriously dying. There's no way- no one to stay with the kids if Mark and I went. I could get CBR room only for three nights for...... $324.:scared1: Flights R/T pp for $300 (high, I think)-- :headache:
Last year- we watched it on tv and there was hardly anyone outside as the players walked by, shaking hands, signing autographs.:headache::headache:

Okay-- so now that my whinefest is over, I shall continue with my morning.:rolleyes1:laughing::laughing:

More coffee please!:surfweb:

Hello MAYers!

Morning JO. I don't think we are going to try to squeeze in the MVMCP. I have heard it is always crowded, and you know how my family does with crowds. :sad2: Plus the extra cost. . . I'm not sure. I'll have to think about it awhile longer and see if I feel it would be worth it. And I'd have to change my schedule around - again! :scared1: I'm still working on the changes from the hours coming out. I really need to squeeze in DHS after dark after the 10th so we can see the Osborne lights! Of course my plans were to go to DHS in the evening on the 7th and during the day on the 10th. :headache:

I need to get to work on those ADR's too. Since we are only getting 6 free ADR's, I don't think I want to use one on Boatwrights like I had planned. So back to rethink that plan. . .

Oh that would be so cool if you could go then!! Couldn't you take the kids with you since it would just be for 3 nights? They wouldn't miss much school!

Don't feel bad, my flights are still about $300 RT PP. :sad2:
What's the deal - I thought PIT was home of the super low flights?!?:confused3

Good Morning :wizard:

I'm semi annoyed this morning.

What do you guys think is the appropriate age to stop having birthday parties? Like 12.... Maybe have a sweet 16 party... Then go out and celebrate your 21st with friends... Have an over the hill party when you turn whatever age you do that at  But then that's about it, right?

Well, guess who's new house got volunteered (not by Bob or myself) to host his twin step sisters birthday party....

Tonight.

Wait let me back up..... It's their 35th birthday party....

Really?

Get over it. You were born. By all means - Celebrate it! Go out to a nice dinner with your husband. Let your kids make you a cake. Whatever. But to actually have a party... For yourself....Every year...

Don't invite 15 people to my house for dinner and cake and gifts.

Ugh. I don't know why I am more annoyed. Because you're mother (Bob's step mother) said that they were coming over to celebrate at our house without really asking us... or because you're 35 and still insist on a birthday party - with ice cream cake and gifts.

Sorry! I needed to get that off my chest! :rotfl:

Morning Mayers!

I feel like I have a tiny bit of a summer cold this morning. Yuck! I am trying to shake it off and pretend I don't have it!

Hope you guys are having a great day!

Hummmmmmm..... I'd probably scrap Boatwright's as well. Which ones are you keeping?
Will you get Hoppers? On the 7th are you seeing F! ?? Is that why you're going at night? Do they have a F! later? Are they showing it 2x in one night? When do you leave to go home?
So many questions, I know.
As far as MVMCP---- I wonder if they cap the tix to that like they do with the MNSSHP? The limit to that is speculated somewhere btwn 19-24,000 tix. Which is empty to me, after being in Christmas crowds with 96,000 of my bestest friends.:headache: Can you say sardines????????????? Can you say miserable??? Can you say 2 1/2 hour wait for Pooh ride........... which we waited in like a bunch of dumb butts???:lmao: For Pooh!!!!!!!!!!!
If it were me and I did the party, I'd plan on doing nothing that day-- pool, maybe, DTD for lunch- and into the party as early as possible. But then I'd only go to MK for one other half day.

Oh that would be so cool if you could go then!! Couldn't you take the kids with you since it would just be for 3 nights? They wouldn't miss much school!

Don't feel bad, my flights are still about $300 RT PP. :sad2:

I know- we talked about it. Mark would rather try to go to a home game at UF--- he wants to go "home" to his alma mater, I can't blame him. I really can't take Mcat out anymore- she's already scheduled to miss two days of school for Labor day and one for the FL/Miss state game in Oct.
If she gets sick- i'll be in trouble.

I'd love to take them, though. Drew was so sweet- he said "Mom, you and dad should go- that would be so much fun for you guys." I really wouldn't want to go without the kids-- esp him-- he loves all those players so much.

Can't believe your airline tix are so high. Hope something goes down soon so you don't have to worry about them anymore. One less headache for you.
Still no AK hours for November. . .

That is dumb. Well, it's probably open at 9, close at 5. Will you do an EMH here?

Good Morning :wizard:

Oh, RF-- I'm so sorry. Are they expecting you to buy the cake and everything? Sam's cakes or Costco cakes are huge and only $20. If I bought that- then that would be my present to them. Get paper plates and cups and cutlery.
And then when it's over, sit on your couch and let Stepmommy clean up b/c you "had an exhausting day at work , and have a migraine".;)

Ooh- I know....
Maybe you could call and cancel with step mommy at the last minute b/c of a splitting migraine-- and they'll have to meet at a restaurant or something and --so sorry, you can't go but will send Bob in your place.

That stinks. not fair. not your job to be Birthday Party Planning Extraordinaire for adult women, trying to be children.
What do they want? A magician?????? A clown making balloon animals? A jump castle?????

:rotfl2:

Oh- I know!!!!

A petting zoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:rotfl2:

I'm so in one of those moods today.

 I get annoyed at people who have birthday parties for their kids EVERY year!

Once my kids turned about 3-4 I decided a party every other year was sufficient. I mean it's not like we skip their birthday on the off year. :rotfl: We still take them to dinner wherever they want, I make them a cake, and we usually let them take one friend to CEC. I just feel like a party every year is a bit much. I feel like it's like asking for gifts or something. :confused3

EVERY year at my nephew's birthday party (who was born 6 weeks after DS7) my SIL says to me - you are so smart for only doing this every other year, it's such an expense, and so much work. And EVERY year I think to myself she's finally seeing the light! :woohoo: Until the next year when I am standing at my nephew's birthday party listening to her tell me the same thing again! :sad2:

So anyway, yes I would be totally annoyed that they invited themselves to have a party at your house!

NC- hope you are feeling better soon. SUmmer colds are the worst.

Our allergies up here are awful. Mcat has a terrible cough- but doesn't want to go to the Dr... I'm thinking she may need an Antibiotic, but I can't find my stethescope to listen to her chest. I think it's still packed away somewhere.

Anyway- get the Zicam quick!

;)

Jo

Morning Mayers!

I feel like I have a tiny bit of a summer cold this morning. Yuck! I am trying to shake it off and pretend I don't have it!

Hope you guys are having a great day!

I felt like that last Saturday night after the MAYer meet and then on Sunday morning. But I ended up feeling better a few days later and it was nothing major. Hope you aren't coming down with anything! :wizard:

Jo - I love you!

I was starting to think I was just really b***hy about feeling this way, but really?

Come on!

And yes, I am expected to buy the cake and everything....:sad2:

I think it's funny because the step mom was the one that said 'We need to figure something out. My sister wants us to come to her house in Cranberry (about 45 minutes away) for the twins birthday (yes she still calls them 'the twins' even though they are grown women with husbands) and I don't want to go all the way up there. So we need to make plans down here. Oh, and I think everyone is sick of being in my cramped little place so we should try to make it somewhere else'

Where oh, where could we possibly fit all these people.... :rolleyes1

:lmao:

Ugh. Anyway...Maybe I'll look into the petting zoo idea. That might get the point across that I find all of this to be a little ridiculous.

Scratch that... it'll just set the bar higher for next year. :rotfl2:
