Oh my word RF...this is me right now.



Not because I'm scared, of course, but because I'm so in awe! How amazing! Now that I think about it, we saw that little show before RD at DHS...I just wasn't paying much attention to it, I guess.

I can't imagine being on RNRC by myself, with only my screams to listen to. Talk about a once-in-a-lifetime experience! How cool!

The family that shared the car with us at Sci Fi was all about talking to us and was so excited that she was sitting with us. LOL. I felt like a celebrity!

And then a woman came up to me and was like "You TGM" I was like.... "Huh?" She was like, "You're on TGM right" Me:"..... Oh, YES! " She was like "I recognized you from your avatar. I got all of the opening on film for you!"

Awesome! I love the Dis and TGM - people are so nice!

Well, apparantly we aren't going to see the house tonight. The sellers are being uncooperative and don't want to show it until they are moved out at the end of the month.

This house has been listed for months and now all of a sudden they don't want to show it. It's very annoying. I get it. I know that they probably have stuff everywhere, but we have had this planned with our realtor for like 5 days now, so there must have been a miscommunication somewhere.

This sucks. I was super excited about this one. And the homes are selling so quickly around here now, that I don't want to wait around for this one for another week and possibly miss another one. It would just be really nice if I could know yes or no for this house and could either move forward or move on.

Oh, and I guess you guys saw my big exciting secret in the 1st post on my thread. I was trying to save that for later, but Oh well! We were Family of the Day! It was awesome!

I'll get to that post in a few days - I'm going to post our 1st full day tonight when I get home.

LOL! OK! But you guys have to humor me and go read my TR when I get to this part again.

This is a story that may be familiar to NC and Fam.

Well, we were about 30 minutes early and waiting for RD on Thursday the 12th. I literally just got done telling Bob to keep his eyes open, because they would be picking a "family of the day" and I am nebby and wanted to see who they would pick. Just then a cast member named Kimberly came over to us and asked if we would like to help "open the park". I smacked Bob's arm and said "OHMYFREAKINGLORDYESSSSSSSSSYESYESYESYES!!!!!"


So, we go into Guest Relations and Kimberly gets us some drinks, and talks to us about our trip and where we're from and the Pens (apparantly we were excited about one of the games ) She says that we are going to be part of the opening "movie" that they will be filming. She tells us that we will be getting into a car that was owned by Walt Disney personally, and that several presidents have been in. We'll be picked up, "shoot our scene" and then will be taken down Sunset Blvd in the car, and got to choose between either RnRC or ToT to have the 1st ride of the day - ALONE. We chose RnRC! (Which ended up being a great choice because the rest of the day and the next day that we were at DHS, the line for RnRC was cra-a-a-zy. So that was the only ride that we had.)

Then we walk out of the building and she weaves us through the crowd and past the rope. She takes our picture in front of the hat all by ourselves, says that she's just going to keep my camera take pictures during and then meet us at RnRC. The film crew comes and does their skit, and a woman named Tootsie Something-Or-Other comes and picks us up in the car. We are in front of about 3,000 or 4,000 people at this point. It was sooo exciting! We were casted as "The Happy Couple" and we had to wait until the countdown was over and yell into the microphone "HOLLYWOOD, HERE WE COME" and then wisked us away down the street and opened the rope and the floods of people poured in.

I was so nervous about TSM because I had planned on going straight there so we could actually ride it that day. But, this was soooo much better! We arrive at RnRC. We're waved to by all the CM's with the big Mickey Hands on and then went into the sound booth. It was sooo cool being in there alone! I commented once we got out of the room that we would have no time to search for hidden Mickey's in this line, because that's usually how we spend our time in the "alley" before we get on the ride.

So, we hop in the car and we take off! The music was cutting in and out the whole time, but we didn't care! We were still so excited! When we pull in the CM's were like "Oh, NO WAY! You're not getting off that easy! We know the sound was messed up - you're going again!"

We take off for a 2nd ride, with sound this time and it was freaking amazing! You heard noone else screaming - it was sooo cool to be in there alone!

When we got off the ride, Kimberly was waiting for us. She gave us FP's for TSM, another set for any other ride of our choosing and told us that she was going to leave a package for us at Guest Svcs for us to pick up when we leave the park! We took some pictures with her and then went on with the rest of our day!

Later that night, when we picked up our package - it was both pictures from our rides on RnRC, an autographed 'Old Hollywood' looking signed pic of Mickey and Minnie, a certificate for Family of the Day, and Priority Seating for F! for Thursday night!

IT WAS AMAZING!

I am literally jumping up and down in my office right now with a huge smile on my face!!!

I know you loved it!!! I am so excited for you! I can't believe this happened. I always thought you guys had a chance being a young couple, because they pick young couples there a lot. It couldn't have happened to a nicer couple!!!

One week from today, I'll be waking up in Cali!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


I am soooooo excited.

I cannot wait.




Yesterday we had to choose our activities for Hawaii.

We had lots of options-

~Spa (One of the top ten spas in Conde Nast Travel and Leisure) so we chose that one day.

~Bike down Haleakala volcano- we did that last time and while fun- it's a 7 hr trek and then we'd rush back for dinner. So- that's out.

~Drive to Hana/Rainforest Hike-- didn't want to be on a bus all day- and my knee isn't doing well enough for the long hike. So that was out.

~Golf- resort location. Nope. not me.

~Snorkel-- two different tours. I don't swim where sharks live.Tried it in Cabo---- we saw a Hammerhead. Yeah-- I was DONE.

~Shopping in LaHaina-- we're going out there to Maui early and staying afterwards on our own dime so we'll probably do this one day on our own- plus I went last time to go to hiLo Hattie's --- it was fun- Mark would rather lie by the pool, so that was out.

~IAO needle and bird sanctuary--- um, again- the driving on a bus thing for hours.

And finally- the one we chose--------
~ Zipline through the forest at Haleakala!!!!!


Tooo cool.


So excited about Hawaii--- not happy about the plane ride.


Just thought I'd share my enthusiasm.

But for now...

It's California that I'm focusing on.



I'm thisclose to pulling out the suitcases.

Just b/c I'm excited.

Yesterday was DS's birthday. Poor thing, he has a terrible cold. He didn't even feel like going out to dinner. I picked up BK for him. His choice of course and I would have gotten him take out from anywhere.

We gave him an iTouch for his birthday. We couldn't get the ding dang dong thing to work. DH was up until 2 A.M. trying to make it work. Well, first thing this morning, he took it back, got a new one, came home plugged it into the computer and the new one worked automagically!!!! So when DS got up, at least his birthday present worked. He still feels like crap.

I felt bad for him, sick on his birthday, you get one present (a very nice one I might add), and it's broken.

He is such a great kid, he didn't say one word about having a crappy birthday.

I would have been all, "Woe is me, I am sick and my ONE present doesn't work!" (sniff, sniff)

I am SOOOO glad he is not like that!

ANOTHER beautiful sunny perfect day here - right around 82 degrees. Boy I feel like Sea with all these great weather reports day after day!
