Well, I made it back from the walk. I thought I was going to expire on that hill out there-- the one the kids sled down. But I made it. Woo hoo!
That's one in a row!
This is so fascinating to me- to hear a man's thoughts. I guess Mark and I are on the same page as far as talking about our days. Every morning we take at least 15 minutes to have some "us" time before the day gets going- just to talk about what's up for the day- and then at night, when he comes in- (Which is usually between 7-8 pm-- I hear ya Shelly on the 60 hr work weeks-

) We take another 30 minutes or so to talk about everything that happened that day.
Actually- he talks most of the time, I listen

- but I'm always so interested in what he's doing. Seriously. I think it's fun to hear about b/c i'm not in the work outside the home scene anymore.
Plus- I love to hear the "Climbing the corporate ladder" tales AND what he's doing is kind of exciting.
Like yesterday --his team (Mark, another sales guy and their boss) had to do a presentation for the entire executive board of their company -- including 4 VP's AND the President and CEO.

That's huge for any company- but their company is a household name.

So that kind of stuff is really cool for me to live vicariously thru him.
But you said something that interested me-- you said a guy doesn't want to hear about our day when he comes in. Is that true? What did you mean? B/c I think if I'm listening to how DH's day went, he's interested in how my day went, even if it means I only went to the grocery store and made dinner. I know that I'm not saving the world anymore, but I think what I do matters... even a little bit.
Curious to your thoguhts here.
ummmm.... totally Mark. Both of those.
That was something I had to get used to when I was in PA. Our kids get an hour more school time. They go in at 8 and don't get out until 3. Well, the elementary at least- the HS and Jr high's times are different.

Maybe mine would be interested in cooking some supper for me.
