Today they are supposed to start roofing our house. We having it replaced due to all the hail damage this spring.

It was so hot here yesterday. The heat index was well over 100. It supposed to continue throughout the week. I feel bad for the guys who will on the roof.

Morning all... today it's going to be about 82... but i welcome that... in Florida it was about 95 but felt like 106.... EWWWW.... but we had a blast.... well i'm off to upload the pics on a photobucket so i can do my TR.... in between doing laudry... and i was surprised that my house was somewhat in order when i walked in last night.....

oh i'll upload the4 video's of the fireworks and parade.....

Did you hear about our earthquakes? About 9:30 last night we start feeling this rolling in our home, it lasted for about 45 seconds. Found out it was a 5.7 earthquake down in the San Diego area, about 150 miles south of us. There has been over 100 aftershocks.

My goodness Sea! Hope you don't have any more aftershocks! That's got to be a strange sensation feeling everything move under you.

We pretty much stayed in the waterpark part for most of the day since it was so hot. We usually go during the off season and don't get to do the water rides so it was a fun change.

How are your roofers doing NC? I always feel bad for roofers in the summer. And really any season around here. It's usually freezing cold or blazing hot, not much in-between.

Hey everyone. Thanks for the continued prayers. She is going in for another surgery tomorrow. This will be her 5th in a week. I just hope she can keep holding up.

Mari - Sorry you didn't like Pop. Anything in particular? Or do you just prefer the Mods? I saw your pics on FB, but I am still dying to hear about everything! Is Brett Favre still as hot as he used to be? LOL

Monny - I ALWAYS compare parks to WDW when I go. I think that's why I am always so disappointed with Kennywood when I go. I had to try to make a seperation. They are NOTHING alike. Hopefully Em will be able to sweet talk your DH and you'll be there in no time.

We've been holding up OK around here. Luckily we had some money left over from our tax return this year that we have been able to make ends meet until Bob gets his 1st unemployment check. Between his sister being in town all last week (she lives in MA) and his step sister being in the hospital,and us trying to set up unemployment and contact schools it's been pretty crazy and a difficult adjustment around here. But, it is nice to have a house husband to clean up and make my lunch in the morning and start dinner for me! So, I'll take what I can get.

Day 1 : Heading to WDW..... Marissa's surprise....

Hey all.... SO that morning we had to wake up about 4:30am to get to the airport by 5:15... our flight out was 7am. Marissa did NOT want to wake up she was being a sleepy head. But i finally got her up by reminding her that we were going on an airplane. We get to the airport and she is very excited to go to "North Carolina" (on a side note) Oh by the way I LOVE Jetblue.... i think i found a new airline of preference.....

So you guys know when you get on a plane one of the things said is where you are going and such. So Marissa turns to me and says mom the man said we are going to florida "we got on the wrong plane" i told her no that the plane is stopping there first then going to NC. And we are off............

Finally we make it to MCO and once we walk out of the gate Marissa starts looking around and asks me where my friend is to pick us up.... i tell her he's outside.... but she starts to notice the mickey shirts in the store there... this is what happens...

I still try to convince her that it's not... but Marissa is not a dumb child.... she knows.... or at least has a feeling..... so we take the monorail and go to the main terminal..... this is when it's finally revealed....

She was super excited... it was worth it to wait..... i would do it all over....
So we start making out way to the ME checkin and Marissa runs full speed ahead and falls.... she crapes her nose so you guys will see the pics with her something on her nose. So I finally clean her up and we head over to the line to wait for the bus to take us to resort.... we wait about 20 min and then we head outside....

And it's funny cause I normally get the bus drivers that are funny and have dialogue with the guests but this guy was very dry.... but whatever i'm going to disney so it didn't matter....

i started to tear when i saw this...

But once we got off the ME bus we immediatly felt the HEAT and HUMIDITY....

More later.... gotta go make breakfast for Marissa.....

YIKES!! I guess I shouldn't complain about the upper 80's we are to get later in the week!


I have been keeping an eye on the WDW temps lately. . . Debating on June, August, or Thanksgiving for 2011 so we don't have to take DS11 out of school for too many days. . . It was 99 there on Monday!! And mid to upper 90's the last few weeks. I just don't think we can do it. . . I am going to keep an eye on late August temps, since we don't start school until after Labor Day. But I don't expect that the temps will be much cooler then.
