Just saw my picture of my holly ball dress. I think I could wear it on formal night on the cruise!

:lmao:

Thanks! I'm looking at the Grand Cayman pics now! It makes me want to go on the Carnival Cruise so I can go there!!!

3G on a ship??? :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

You can use your cell phones if you have an international calling plan with your carrier. Call them now to check or to have it set up. The phones will only work in port, not at sea.

If you really need to use a phone at sea, look into buying a satellite phone.

As for internet. All ships now have an internet cafe and wi-fi in a few public areas on the ship. However, you will be paying a premium price for it.

Sea

Sea, thank you for looking up to see when the ships were refurbished. I'll mention that to my husband. I am not sure he has thought this thru. No cell phones? What about Wi-Fi or 3G? Internet? That boy is working even when he is on vacation.

I love Roatan. I wouldn't want to stay there. But those photos are so captivating. It is beautiful in a third world, primitive sort of way. Like to some extent it has been untouched by time.

And Cozumel? It looks wonderful.

The two cruises I am looking at go to 5 different ports. You have been to 3 of them on your last cruise. Roaton is on one cruise and Grand Caymen on another.

Of the 3 ports you went to, which was your favorite?

2nd favorite?

And last but not least....

We liked Grand Cayman the best, then Cozumel, Princess Cay, Bahamas, and lastly Roatan.

We wouldn't mind staying at GC or Coz for a week. It would be heavenly.

This makes me want to take the Carnival Cruise as it stops at Grand Cayman, Jamaica, and Cozumel.

The ship has been refurbed.

But I like the amenities on the RC ship.

Ugh!!!!

And now I think my husbanc might not go due to lack of contact with the modern world.

:lmao:

Although I sound very confused and tormented. You really have helped me Sea! :goodvibes

Thank you!

Here is what you do: throw the phone and laptop into the ocean and make him pay attention to you and the kids! I am sure he will thank you for it at the end of the cruise. Seriously, we all need to disconnect sometime. LOL!:cool1:

Morning from the frozen tundra of Arkansas!!!:goodvibes

When I went to get the kids from the bus stop yesterday it started sleeting and IMMEDIATELY my lower deck froze with a sheet of ice. Not good. This morning the snow is blowing like crazy and we just had a limb fall out of a tree in our back yard hitting our privacy fence knocking a board off of it. Grrrrrrrrr. Of course everything is cancelled and Mark just went in to work- took my car with the 4 wheel drive.
It's supposed to snow like this all day. I feel like I'm in PGH.:goodvibes

Shelly- have fun on your lunch date! :lovestruc How fun that you guys can do that while the kids are in school. Hope all goes well for your DH at PT.

I'm so glad you didn't lose power! Sounds like a nasty storm. No snow here -- it's too cold to snow!! :rotfl:

Lunch was fun. We rarely do anything without the kids, so it was nice.

They worked him over pretty good at PT this morning. He was in there for about an hour and a half or more.

So is that 2 weeks? Wow!! That's a lot. Hope he has a great PT today. I guess you are his driver for the week. :goodvibes

I'm guessing he will be off for 2-3 weeks. Definitely 2. Maybe 3. We will see. His boss told him today that he could come back whenever he wanted and he would take it easy on him until he is feeling better. So we will just see what the doctor says next week.

So YAY for a cruise!! :cool1: We are definitely going to look into a cruise when the kids get a little older and can't miss school for Disney.

Well, I did it! I booked our cruise for Spring Break!

Watch out Royal Carribean here we come!

:cool1:

:rotfl2:

Congrats NC! I'm looking forward to a TR from that beautiful boat!

NC - Are you going to do any tours at any of your ports? My son Chris and his uncle did local tour of Roatan. They took him on around the island and stopped at a small zoo where they were able to interact with monkeys and birds. In Cozumel you can swim with the dolphins, scuba diving, snorkeling, etc. - and don't forget Margaritaville, LOL!

Thanks Shelly, Sea and Jo!!!

I am very exctied! I need a new ticker!

We got two balcony rooms that are adjoining, deck 7, port side.

Do you think that will be ok?

The selection was slim due to the fact, we wanted at least one balcony room, either adjoining, side by side, or across the hall. We looked into some suites but there were not any available that would meet the sleeping arrangements and two bathrooms that we wanted, as well as a balcony.

Oh yea, that is great! Very nice! You will be so happy about having your own private balcony to relax and enjoy. Be sure to order room service A LOT!!! LOL!

Whew! Thanks Sea! That makes me feel better!

Sea, here are my newest qustions:

1. Did you guy trip insurance? If so how much did it cost? I was quoted yesterday at booking and it was $100 per person...:scared1: Have looked at a few on-line which look like they are around $150 total. HUGE difference.

Sorry to everyone if I am putting my financial business out there to much. :upsidedow

2. Did you do excursions? We are at Roatan, Costa Maya, and Cozumel. I think 5 or 6 ships are in port at Cozumel when we are there. If so, which excursions did you do?

OK, I think that's all for now.

:goodvibes
