Morning :goodvibes It's FRIDAY! :cool1:

Tomorrow I am going to an all day scrapbooking crop. It starts at 8am and isn't over until 12am  I don't think we'll stay the whole time - but it'll be a nice day out. It was $65 but that includes all 3 meals, snacks, a scrapbook goodie bag, demonstrations... etc.

It should be fun! :goodvibes

That sounds like a lot of fun. I hope you have a great time.

Did you love Vampire Diaries last night????

Sea- have a wonderful trip- can't wait to see pics! I love the pics of your wife in Germany. What a beautiful heirloom you found! And your niece in that viking hat :lmao:

RF- Enjoy that all day crop tomorrow!

Hope everyone has a great Friday the 13th!!!!

Thanks Lake! I hope it's fun. I'm a little nervous, I haven't scrapbooked in a few months and I hope I can get 'into it' tomorrow. Otherwise, it's gonna be a long day :lmao: I printed out some pictures of my Halloween party and our Ocean City trip. I have a few that I may print of the house, so I can do a 'Our new home' kind of page - and I still have a TON of Disney pictures that need a home. So, I hope that I'll be able to get a lot done. :thumbsup2

And about Vampire Diaries! I love that show! At first I wasn't a fan because it felt like they threw sooo many characters at you and I didn't think that they spent enough time building their relationships up. I found myself being like 'wait, that's her brother??' , or 'wait, they dated??' But it is really starting to get good. :goodvibes

I like where they are going with Bonnie. :thumbsup2

Do you watch Supernatural too? I looooooove that show! It's my favorite. :cloud9:

Nope ..not a supernatural fan. More than likely when it first started it was on at the same time as something I liked.

I don't watch a lot of tv, but I have a couple shows that I just love.
Vampire Diaries is a new one that grabbed me this season.
But I love Big Bang Thory, Friday Night Lights, and I still watch Grey's Anatomy and Brothers and Sisters.

Have you watched Three Rivers?
Based in a hospital in Pittsburgh.
The mention the Steelers and Primanti Sandwiches and local stuff all the time.
It's not getting great ratings, but we like it.
Plus they show lots of location shots around the city.

No - I never watched it. But I really want to. I like when shows are based here or when movies are filmed here. It's cheesy, but I get excited about it. LOL :cool1:

They filmed the 'My Bloody Valentine' remake in Oakmont at the end of my street last year when we lived there. :goodvibes I was so excited every day when we would drive home. LOL. I just wanted to see celebrities.

I am a huge fall TV person! That's the only time when I watch a lot of it.

I watch How I met your Mother, Biggest Loser, The Office, Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Modern Family, The Middle, Dexter....

LOL.

I love TV this time of year. Shameful but true.

Y'all watch 'Vampire Diaries' too? Yay! I also watch it though I haven't seen last night's episode yet.

And in other news, my docs came today. I've been busy huffing on the envelope to try to inhale some Disney smells all morning.

Sea- what time do you leave??

Tas- yay for sleeve sniffing!:goodvibes

RF-- do you remember the name of the movie that was filmed a couple of winters ago outside of PGH about post Apocolypse? The director wanted an abysmal set so he chose dead of winter, near Cranberry somewhere on a road that was closed down:confused3;):rotfl:? I don't remember the name of it- but I'd like to see it on DVD.
Of course, Night of The Living Dead (the original) was filmed... in Mars, I believe. What is up with PGH and all these scary movies??:)

Sea- yesterday I had written you a long post telling you how adorable those pictures were of your wife in Germany and all of a sudden, my computer crashed!!! I was soooooooooo mad!!!!

Anyway- what I had asked then was does she still have that bear she was holding in one of those pics? It's a Steiff Bear- it would be worth a lot to an antique toy dealer these days. My dad brought me some of them in the 80's when he went over there for work. All I brought him when I went was a nutcracker from the Black Forest.:lmao:

Our flight leaves at 9:50 pm from LAX.

Still had a few things to do...

I just stopped by the office to wrap some things up - set up my "out of office" auto-response email.

A friend is taking care of our home and Jeremy's cat. Did I forget tell you we have a cat now? OMG, it is a bit crazy.

Got to go by the post office, banks, and then have lunch with my wife. She is done at 12:30 today.

We are trying to go into "we are already on vacation/relax" mode...

Sea

Well, hurry up and relax, man! You guys are going to have the most fantabulous time!

Enjoy every second of it. Come back relaxed and well rested.
Oh, and three sizes larger with all of that food you'll be eating.

:goodvibes

Have a great trip!:lovestruc

Aww-sorry about that crash! Glad you liked the pics :)

Yes, she still does have the Steiff bear. And we have a whole collection of Steiff animals that go back 1950's or later. Her mom collected them as well as my wife did.

That particular bear was given to my wife by her grandmother, whom she only met once. Here is a pic of her with her mom, grandmother and cousin.

It is one of the rare ones where we have all three generations in a photo. The way she holds the bear, in both pics, reminds me of the baby bear in the Country Bear Jamboree show holding his toy and squeaks it. LOL

Do you still have your Steiff animals? What do you have?

LOL about the nutcracker...I brought my parents' one home too when I went to Germany.

HAVE A MAGICAL TRIP SEA! :wizard:

Don't forget to take lots of pics for us!

Have fun tomorrow!!!

NC- did you hear about this?

http://www.bransontrain.com/polar-express/brochure/2009.pdf

It sounds like so much fun- but dang- it would be over $200 for our family to do it and then we'd probably want to spend the night instead of coming back and then Breakfast and such. Too much $$ but really neat.

Jo

We did something like this (but not this expensive) when Chris was about 4 years old and we lived in Texas. He was a train freak!!! He loved them. Thomas the Tank especially! Our ride was at night and because it was at night, Chris really couldn't "see" the train when we got on at the station due to the darkness and we just never really could explain to him that we were riding on a train. He just didn't get it. So sitting still in seat, listening to a story, and then having a drink that was too hot hottities, was just not his cup of cocoa! I remember we were just thinking this will be the GREATEST thing of his life and it was such a bust! :rotfl:

Your kids are older, so they probably will enjoy it! I was just a young mom and had not developed that realistic parenting mind like my kid is too young to enjoy this.

Y'all watch 'Vampire Diaries' too? Yay! I also watch it though I haven't seen last night's episode yet.

sniff!!! :snooty:

Sea - I love that photo with all their luggage! We used to take pictures with luggage when I was a kid.

We also took a lot of pictures outside in front of our car. We didn't take a lot of indoor photos, but lots of outdoor photos. Something about the flash. I think I remember we had to buy "flashes" or something or other. Mom would say, "Everybody outside. Time for a picture." My brother and I knew to march outside and stand in front of the car to get our picture made! Did anyone else do that?

Awww, Sea- I love that picture of the Frauleins! They look like my great great German Gma's Oma!!:goodvibes

That is so neat you have a collection of old steiff's. They would be worth so much $$ but I know they are worth more to your wife's heart.:goodvibes

My dad Broiught me a bear that growls when you turn him upside down, a lamb and a kitty, I think it was. I lost the kitty.:confused3

I love going into the shop at epcot to see all their Steiff's.

My Dad looked Pure German and was often mistaken for a local when he was at the Bosch plant in Germany (He worked for Bosch).
He always had Americans coming up to him speaking very slow English, asking directions and he'd scare them to death when he'd start speaking to them in slow English back.
:lmao:

NC---- I don't think , with Christmas coming up, we can do it-- we are leaving for Charleston in 35 days! I have to save for that trip, unfortunately. But if we were staying local, we'd probably go.
Cute story about Chris. Poor baby, he didn't understand.:lovestruc
