and it's not wearing red shorts.... :(

I keep putting little ipieces of cheese by the fridge because I thought I saw something run across the room. Everytime I go back it's gone....

What to do... Derek won't be home till midnight and his other roomate locks himself in his room all night...

EKE....

I would run out to the store and get some Decon. Leave that in place of the cheese. Hopefully it will take care of itself. Good luck. I'd be up on the closest chair, probably screeching myself!

He just ran across the dinning room. I am stuck in this chair all night now :)

I hope Derek isn't too mad at me when he gets home...

yup, haven't moved off the chair and I am dising and building my dream car on line!

Mousies love peanut butter. Get a no-kill mouse trap and put some peanut butter in it, then release mousie into the woods. OK, so my DH released the mousie in the woods, not me. :p :teeth:

Hmph, at least that's better than a squirrel!:)
Good luck catching him.....

LOL this is so funny......I too have a mouse in my kitchen. My problem is, is that I like mice. He's really cute and I know I should really make him relocate, but I hate to. We've kind of become friends.

Now rats are a whooooole 'nother story. I had a close encounter not too long ago. I got up in the middle of the night to go potty and thank goodness I turned the bathroom light on. Upon raising the toilet lid, what do I see???? A large rodent doing his best Esther Williams impression in the toilet bowl. DH got a very rude awakening that night and after he peeled me off the ceiling, played the great hunter and retrieved aforementioned rat from the toilet bowl (with barbeque tongs).

LOL figment! I'd die if I found a rat in my toilet! At least it was doing impressions of Esther Williams instead of chasing you.

My mom also has a mousie in her kitchen right now. It empties the trap and leaves it sparkling clean and empty. I think she needs to try a live trap. How much do they cost?

If you have a mouse in the house I suggest you put a cat in the house.;)

I have a mouse in the house ( and his name is not Mickey ) and a DUMB cat who did not move the other day when the mouse came from the kitchen and run to the livingroom behind the TV, there are two little holes behind the TV that lead to the basement, that's where he comes from. I plugged them with steel wool and I'm putting out traps in the basement, they will be kill traps, this way the darn thing won't come back and yes you guessed it, DH will be the designated person to get rid of it.

Who's Esther Williams?
ANyway...I can relate. When DH and I moved into our house a couple years ago, everybody in the neighborhood was having mousie problems because the houses were built on fields where the mice used to live. They are also building right behind us and kicking up rabbits, squirrells, all kinds of stuff. Our mousie lived under the dishwasher and he'd come out to steal food from the cat bowl. One night, DH and I get woke up at like 2 AM by this screaming. It's one of our cats. She has a mouse and is running around with the other cat chasing her and yowling. The one with the mouse doesn't know what to do with it,other than hold on,and the poor little mousie is dangling from her mouth, just kinda wiggling back and forth. We get the cat cornerned and she drops the mouse, who limps off.We cage the cats in a bedroom and move ALL the furniture in order to find this mouse, who is running all ove the place. Finally, just when DH thinks he has it trapped under a laundry hamper,it disappears and OUT comes another mouse, this one not limping at all! So we chase the mouse around and around the living room until we finally catch it and toss it over the back fence.Haven't had mice since...other than Justin and Nicodemus,my pet rats.:)
Guess word got around to the mousies we have cats and they stay away.:p

Who's Esther Williams?
Thanks DisneyResearcher....you just made me feel old LOL
:) :)

Esther Williams was an Olympic swimmer from the '30's turned actress. If your ever watching an old musical and there's a large group number involving a pool, most likely Esther Williams is the star.

We don't seem to have problems with mice in the kitchen ...then again we have 3 cats!!! Want to borrow one??

Wow a post of mine on the first page the next morning....

Please someone catch me, I think I may pass out! :)

I have to kitties at home but unforntunaly I can't have them here, they would have a field day but I afraid that they wouldn't know what to do with them either. :)

One of the roomates is going to get a trap today. When my bf got home last night I heard some other interesting mousie stories about the past in this house. Let's just say I had a hard time sleeping last night and woke up to every little rustle!
