There's a First Time for Everything! A Christmas In November TR

Cute kid, cute dog...how'd you get so lucky?;)

I am glad you were able to ditch the unwanted "helper." I have never ridden the ride in Mexico-gotta hit that this summer, too. We do love to visit the Mexican pavillion though. Did the Kim Possible mission take you to two countries? (Mexico and Norway?)

BTW, I am about to have a ticker! I think I am booking our trip this afternoon! :cool1:

Wow! I can't believe that that kid's parents were that oblivious to his wearabouts!

Amazing isn't it? I would never let my child wander around alone in a huge place full of strangers. He may not have even been 8! He was a little fellow. I really wondered if I should report it to a CM, but I didn't know if that was the right thing to do. It was obvious that he had been told to go find something to do. He certainly wasn't looking for his parents!

Wow it sounds as though you really were on a mission, too funny :rotfl: But where on earth were his parents, very odd!

We take our tours of duty very seriously!:lmao:

I have no idea on the parents. We never ended up seeing them! :sad2:

We keep saying we are going to do a Kim POssible mission but then get sidetracked. We WILL do one this summer and hopefully without a random helper like you had!

You should try it. It is easy though to get sidetracked at Epcot. We tried to use it as a way to entertain DD while we went through each country since that's not her favorite place. All I can say for now is that it didn't exactly work out for us.:lmao:

:rotfl2::lmao:
Too funny - I love how you handled your "mission"!
What up with that parent-less kid?? Weird.

You have the cutest chihuahua I have ever seen! I'm normally not a fan, but she is adorable!!

It really is amazing that someone would be so careless with their child. He was WAY too young to be walking around by himself. :sad2:

I hear that a lot from people about Chihuahuas. I think they can be really snappy, but ours has been a doll baby! She is the sweetest thing and we adore her. She is a long haired Chihuahua, so I think that makes her look better. Chihuahuas have never been known for their beauty!:lmao:

Just joining your TR, it only took me two days to get caught up!

Looks like you all are having a great time. It makes me so excited for our upcoming trip. I'll be waiting for your next installment!

:welcome: So glad you could join us!

We did have a wonderful time. So many sweet and funny memories were made!

I am so envious! I wish I had an upcoming trip! Are you going for Christmas or sooner?

Aww, thank you! I do love my two-legged and my four-legged girls! ;)

Dont' jump the gun! We may not have ditched our helper just yet. :rotfl: Mexico is beautiful isn't it. We love that pavilion! The boat ride is cute. It's a nice way to take a break, or hide from an unwanted guest!

I'll do better in the next segment of explaining the KP mission. I did kind of go off on a tangent, didn't I?:rotfl2: But yes, when you finish one country, you can keep going. It will ask you where you want to go next. We just wanted to go in order to make it easier.

:dance3::cheer2::rainbow::jumping1: Hooray for a ticker!!! Can I be a stowaway in your luggage? :flower3: Are you going in November?

How fun!! I love your writing in this update!! I can't believe that boy followed you around! What an annoyance! Uggh! But it looks like you had fun anyway!! And your dog is just PRECIOUS!! :goodvibes

QUOTE [/]I had to come up with a plan. No way was Ron Stoppable following me around World Showcase all day! Out of pure desperation, we resorted to making a disguise to help us abort mission unrecognized.
:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

lol.. I laughed so much when I read that!! .. How odd that this kid was by himself?!

Your day in Epcot seems great so far!

Love the pics of DD with Alice! - I met Alice for the first time on our December trip at 1900 Park Fare.. she asked us where we were from and when we said "England", she said "oh my, you must have fallen down an awfully long rabbit hole to get here!"... such a fun character! :goodvibes

DH says that when it comes to Disney, I am a total nerd. I guess this installment of the TR proves him right! I just can't help myself sometimes.:rolleyes1

Yes, amazing on the parentless kid. What are people thinking? If you don't want to be responsible for them, then don't reproduce! Makes you feel bad for the kid really. We did have a blast anyway though and stuff like that makes for very funny memories after the fact.

Thank you about my fur baby. She is the closest thing to a second child that I have! :lmao:

It is very funny to think back on it now, but at the time it was very annoying. If someone is telling you what is going to happen on the KP mission before you do it, it ruins the whole experience. He just didn't get that.

Aww how cute of Alice! I often wonder how the CMs come up with stuff like that right off the cuff. She is a great character, quirky and sweet! That would be a really long rabbit hole though wouldn't it? I'd love to fall down that hole one day and end up in England! I'm a huge fan of the UK and would LOVE to visit one day. Such a beautiful place. :cloud9:
:welcome: So sorry I made you late for school! :rotfl:

Not another child torture story! Poor thing! Why do men do that to those poor babies!:rotfl2:

We are BIG Tarheel fans in this house! And Wilmington is such a beautiful place! We are about 2 and 1/2 hours from there. You are so lucky to be going to school at the beach! I'd never go to class if it was me!:rolleyes1
I am actually 5 minutes away from the beach but it is still hard especially on nice days like today. My sister is a huge NC State fan, since she plans on going there when she graduates, so technically I am a State fan for her:confused3.

I loved ur kim possible mission. That darn ronstoppable, just doesn't know when to stop during missions:lmao:You should have told Ronstoppable to go and find rufus (think I spelled it wrong) the naked mole rat:rotfl:. Love you TR so far and can't wait to hear more.

We are going for Christmas hopefully. We are planning Nov. 29-Dec. 6. Our DD will be about 4.5 so it should be so much fun. She wasn't even three yet last time we went, and although she had a great time I think this time will be completely magical!

5 minutes from the beach! You lucky girl!:worship: I'll just ignore the fact that you said you were a State fan though. :lmao:

The naked mole rat!:lmao::lmao::lmao: Who in the world came up with that character??? Yes, that would have been nice if he would have found ANYTHING else to do other than follow us around.

Oh you are in for such a treat! I think there is nothing like Disney at Christmas. I don't even want to go at any other time b/c it is so magical. And 4.5 is a great age. My DD was that age on our trip last year and it was wonderful. That is a great age for rides too. They meet most of the height requirements by age 4. You are going to have a fantastic time!!:cloud9:

Your update had me cracking up!:lmao: Slightly disturbing though that he was all alone for so long...

I am interested in hearing all about KP. We didn't do one last summer so I am sworn to do one this time. I am trying to learn all I can because I remember reading about CP's Kim Possible drama last summer and I really don't want any of that!

Very cute dog you got there! How old is she?

Yes, disturbing for sure. I just can't imagine what people are thinking sometimes.

I have a wonderful website that will tell you EVERYTHING you could ever want to know about KP. I read through it before our trip and it made things easier for us. I'll put the link up for everyone in the next post.

Bella is about 6 months old. She was about 3 months in those pictures. We just love her to death. Small dogs really do become members of the family!

I will give more detail on our KP adventures in the next installment, but for those of you who are interested in all the specifics, here's a link for you. This web site explains EVERYTHING about KP. I read through it before our trip and it helped clarify how it all works.

Can't wait to hear about your KP update. My ds wants to do that. We told him in Aug when we go he can.

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2: Thanks for the link! I am sure it will come in handy this summer when we have to help Kim Possible AGAIN! ;)

I love when the characters come up with great lines like Alice's one about DD and the Cheshire Cat! So cute!

I can't believe that child that was following you around!!! Really, where were his parents??? Although I had to laugh about your comment that they were hiding from him! :lmao:

I've just found your TR and I must tell you I am enjoying it so much!!
Your pictures are fantastic!! I'm so glad I find this, reading it has brought a smile to my face and brought back so many wonderful memories of family trips to the world...there is no place like it especially at christmas:santa:Can't wait for more!!!:goodvibes

Check out that link I posted also. It really will help you not to waste time trying to figure it out when you get there. Your DS will probably love it. Even though it is "Kim" Possible, I think boys would like it even more than girls.

I had a feeling you would enjoy that web site since it goes into such great detail about your favorite attraction!:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

Me, too. I have no idea how the CMs come up with those cute comments so fast.

We never ended up seeing any adult with that child! So rediculous! He was very annoying but my goodness! They must have told him to get lost and play the KP adventure while they looked around WS. Now that I think of it, maybe he was following us b/c he had to turn in his phone and was waiting to get ours. I just don't know! :confused3 Makes for a funny story now though.

Thank you so much for your kind words and :welcome: Disney at Christmas is the best isn't it? I want to experience other things at Disney like the Flower and Graden Festival, but I just keep coming back to Christmastime. There's just nothing like it. Christmas is so special anyway and then you add Disney to it and it doesn't get any better than that! :santa:

Reading about the little boy being alone makes my heart sad. Who would leave such a small child with no supervision in Epcot of all places? :(

We have never done a KP mission and I might have "accidentally" forgot to tell my kiddos all about it on our last trip. :rolleyes1

Your dog is adorable!! I bet she's really fun to snuggle with. :cloud9:

It is sad to think that his parents didn't care where he was. It was obvious that he was very used to being on his own and being very independent. I just don't understand why people have childeren if they don't want to care for them. :sad2:

KP was not really my thing either but I was hoping it would keep DD entertained while we were in WS b/c she isn't too thrilled about that part of Epcot. Last year, I just didn't get to enjoy WS like I wanted to b/c she was whinning about wanting to ride stuff the whole time. I thought KP would fix that, but it didn't quite work out for me!:lmao:

Yes, Bella is a snuggle bug. She wants to be on your chest right up under your neck when she sits with you. She is such a sweetie!

I loved this update. We need to try the Kim Possible mission next time. It is a great way to tour the countries with children.

We used the Touring Plans, too, but our mid week is a bit different from yours. I think I just used the crowd calculator, though and remember some days weren't much different.

Since our Tues night party got so much rain, we got freebie tickets to the Thrs night party which was great.

Yes, if your kids are patient it is a great thing for them to do while you see each country. If you go at a busy time though, you might not get to do more than one mission at a time. Just depends on crowds.

Well, that makes me wonder about TP. How did we both use it and end up at different parks each day? I wonder how accurate it is anyway. Both our trips have been great with low crowds, but who knows if TP had anything to do with it or not.

That's great that you got free tickets. I would be upset if I had paid that much for tickets and then it rained. But technically, Disney didn't owe you another night since they can't control the weather so that was a very nice bonus. That's one of the reasons people love WDW. For the most part they always try to make you happy.
