There's a First Time for Everything! A Christmas In November TR

Wow!! Epcot looks empty!! Nice!! I just love all the posing from your DD!! Sooo cute!! And one-on-one interaction with Aurora AND Marie--you can't beat that!! :goodvibes Awww! Remy looks sooo cute! Glad you were able to see him!!

Cute update! Love all the poses. Chefs is such a fun place to eat, we always enjoy our meals there. Sometimes it's fun just to have the soup and creme brulee.

I must admit that we only went to Chefs for Remy. In fact, I asked if he was there before we went in b/c I had every intention of cancelling if he wasn't. I just thought it would be too fancy for us, but I am glad we ended up going. It was a fun experience and the food was good! :thumbsup2 I agree with you though. I think if I went back, I might just get the soup and the creme brulee and pay OOP. We might do that more from now on so that we can try out more places.

Awww love the pics of your little cutie modeling all over the WS! Too funny! How cool that Remy whipped ya up some yummy lunch!! My DD would have LOVED that!!!

She is a nut sometimes. I really have no idea what got into her. She normally isn't like that. She doesn't mind the camera, but usually doesn't ham it up.

Remy was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed aggravating my DD over him cooking the food. I don't think I ever told her the truth now that I think of it!:lmao:

If your DD likes Ratatouille, then you should go see Remy while he is still there if you can. It is unlike any other character experience at Disney, especially if you let it be a surprise.

Epcot was VERY empty and it was already 1:00 by the time we were done at Chefs. It only got better after that! Just wait until you hear about our evening there. You won't believe it!

DD was being so silly. I'll look back on those pictures some day with such fond memories and she will be so embarrassed by them!:rotfl2:

Yes we had Aurora and Marie all to ourselves. It was kind of weird really that there was no line and we weren't rushed off so the next child could come up.

Remy was fun and so different from all the other character interactions at Disney. I'm glad we got to see him before he leaves.

What a great morning in WS! How awesome that there were no big crowds on Veteran's Day. That's a pleasant surprise. I bet your daughter really enjoyed meeting great characters in such a short time span. :) Love it!

What a cutie your DD is I love how she got into posing for the camera :goodvibes

Your meal looks lovely and how sweet that your DD thought Remy cooked her meal :)

We made a b-line for the Dole Whip hut. Look, they made it in red and green for Christmas! :santa:

IMG_1156.jpg

This is strange. I had a dole whip float on either this day or Friday the 13th and it wasn't red and green. That is too cute!!!!!!

Also, it looks like when your bus was pulling into POP, we were just entering MK. Literally, as soon as we passed through security those rain drops started.

You had such great luck. We had a reservation at Chefs on Sunday (last day of Food and Wine), but changed it to Rose and Crown because we thought Remy was gone and the kids wouldn't enjoy it as much. The food at Rose and Crown was OK. We had the worst table, which was probably most of it. It backed right up against the bar part so it was very loud. On this day we were at AK. You picked great park days - did you use Touring Plans? I did - for the most part they worked good, but seeing your trip so far, I think you had better days picked. Maybe I will have you plan my next trip if you want:).

I love all the pictures of your DD at the fountain.

Oh wow!! I certainly hope that Veteran's Day 2010 looks like that!! Awsome pics of the "super model in training".

Fantastic update! Love all those pics of your DD and SCORE on the characters. Marie is one that we want to find so badly!!

Now I am wishing that we were going to Chef's. I know my kids would love to see Remy. Hopefully they will keep him around. I can't add anything more to my ADR's in June...I already added in 50's PTC because of wigd;)

Oh, I started a PTR so if you have a chance to pop over I would love it:goodvibes

It was fantastic. Epcot was awesome that day. You'll see as the TR continues that it got even better. Meeting the characters with no line is the best!:cloud9:

She is something! She doesn't normally pose for me like that. I think the beauty of WS really got her in the spirit!:rotfl2:

I have been reminded by doing this part of the TR that I never told her that he didn't actually cook the food!:lmao: I wonder if she still thinks he was real???

That is strange. Seems like the guy at the counter asked me if I wanted the holiday Dole Whip. Maybe the person you ordered from didn't do that. It tasted the exact same though.

That really stinks that you got rained on at MVMCP. I know that had to be dissapointing. I'm sure you still had a good time but I know you wished the rain would have held off. :sad2:

If I remember correctly, Remy isn't there on Sundays. Maybe that was why you thought he was gone. He was really cute though. It was funny to see DD pondering the thought of him there at the restaurant.

I want to try Rose and Crown. There are so many good choices at WS that I have a hard time choosing. How was the food?

I did use Touring Plans. I used them last year too. I would say that their recommendations were perfect except for Monday at MK. I won't do that again. Every other day was great though.

Oh wow!! I certainly hope that Veteran's Day 2010 looks like that!! Awsome pics of the "super model in training".

:rotfl: She did act like a super model! I just couldn't believe how she was hamming it up. That's not her usual thing.

I was so surprised by the crowds or lack of on VD. It was great. An empty day at MK and WS, it doesn't get any better than that!

We saw Marie at that same spot last year. She was right there as soon as you enter France. I think they are having her out more often than they used to. Keep trying and I bet you will find her.

I think Wigd had a great idea. She suggested just ordering the soup and dessert and paying out of pocket. Maybe you could do that. You can just order dessert if you want also. There is no rule about how much you have to spend to get into a restaurant. Then you could experience the place and see Remy without breaking the bank. I might do this myself next time at several place I want to try. I never have enough dining credits to cover all the places I want to sample.

I will surely check out your PTR. I've got to get caught up on my subscriptions too so it might take me a couple of days to get over there. But I'll be there soon enough!;)

Looks like your EPCOT day is off to a great start! :thumbsup2 I can't wait to read about the Kim Possible adventure. I saw some families doing it when I was there in October and it looks like something my daughters would like. If I can get them off of Test Track that is!

WOW!! What a great start to a day at Epcot! I love how your DD was hamming it up like a model!! My DD8 has been doing a lot of "posing" for pictures lately! So cute!

I love how she thought Remy would have cooked for you!

I can't wait to hear what happens next!

I had heard that she was there but our trouble was that we never went to WS during the day. We had several meals there so all our touring was after dinner. It was nice, not as hot as during the day and the kids got their passports done but apparently the characters aren't out that late because we saw not a single one! :confused3 In April we are going during the day!

Well, we're not doing the dining plan this time so credits doesn't matter. I'll have to look at my schedule and see what I can do because ordering light is a good idea!

I will surely check out your PTR. I've got to get caught up on my subscriptions too so it might take me a couple of days to get over there. But I'll be there soon enough!;)

Come over whenever you can!!:goodvibes

Also, we ate at Rose and Crown in January 2008 and absolutely loved it! It's one of our ADR's for this June!:goodvibes

Kim Possible Mission, coming right up!

Yes, it is hard to tear away from Test Track isn't it?

Silly girls! One day they will be so embarrassed by those pictures! :rotfl2:

I'm sure she must have known he didn't cook the food but she never said it. She likes to play along with the fun when we are at Disney. If you can't escape reality there, you can't do it anywhere!

Come over whenever you can!!:goodvibes

Will do! :thumbsup2

I will have to put R&C on the list for next time then. I always have a hard time deciding what to eat at WS b/c there is so much good stuff to choose from. I want to try Tutto also!

After a fantastic time at lunch, we left France full, happy and ready to conquer the world! We discussed it briefly and came to the conclusion that we needed an aerial survey of the situation before heading into battle. Hmmmmm, how could we do a recon mission from the sky? Maybe we could rent a plane. No, that would be way too noisy and would surely give away our location. I've got it! A hang glider! That would be perfect. It's silent and can fly in low if necessary. And it just so happened that I had three passes for a free ride! What luck! So off we go to scope out the enemy.

We walked back up through England on our way to The Land. The characters were out in full force this afternoon. They must have sensed that trouble was brewing and decided to sure up the front line.

We were thrilled to see Alice! :woohoo: Somehow we had never been in the right place at the right time to meet her before. She was so sweet and took up so much time with DD. When DD walked up, she said, "Oh my, you are all stripety! You must be related to the Cheshire Cat! You aren't going to disappear on me are you?" :ccat: DD thought that was great!

IMG_1273.jpg

DD was showing her all the signatures she had gotten so far.

IMG_1274.jpg

IMG_1275.jpg

I think this little guy was waiting his turn to meet Alice too.

IMG_1271.jpg

We finally made it to the hang glider station. After a thorough inspection, we were given the all clear for take-off. Our ride was very productive and we gathered crucial intelligence on the enemy's location.

IMG_1276.jpg

We checked in at home base and received our orders. We were to deploy immediately to Norway to be briefed on all the details of our mission.

IMG_1277.jpg

We may be on a tour of duty, but there is always time to stop for Christmas pictures. :santa:

IMG_1278.jpg

IMG_1279.jpg

We were immediately assigned a Kimmunicator. We requested that we be stationed in Mexico because we are lazy soldiers who didn't want to walk too far with all that heavy gear! :rolleyes1

Continued in next post...........

OK, I need to backtrack here for just a moment. When we got our Kimmunicators in Norway, some kid came out of nowhere and started telling us how to use it. There was no adult in sight that appeared to be responsible for him which was disturbing since he was only about 8 years old. :sad2: Well, at first we thought it was quite nice of him to help us get started, but that notion faded quickly when he began to follow us into Mexico. He told us repeatedly, "I know where you need to go. I know what it is going to do. I know what's going to happen next. I know, I know, I know!" :hyper2: At that point I politely told him that we appreciated his superior knowledge, but we would like to do the mission on our own. :rotfl2: Well, he didn't take the hint and continued to buzz around us like a very annoying gnat. DH and I just keep giving each other "the look". I mean really, the Kim Possible mission has enough verbage right by itself without Chatty Cathy here adding to it. So I come up with a most brilliant idea. Let's go ride Donald's boat! So when the kid isn't looking, we give him the slip. Surely, he won't tail us on the ride!

IMG_1287.jpg

IMG_1288.jpg

We exited the ride and as God as my witness, that kid was waiting for us! Seriously?!?! Where were his parents? I think they were hiding from him! :lmao:

I had to come up with a plan. No way was Ron Stoppable following me around World Showcase all day! :tiptoe: Out of pure desperation, we resorted to making a disguise to help us abort mission unrecognized. :cool2:

IMG_1293.jpg

DH had to show all the kiddies that he could make a better mask than they could. :rotfl:

IMG_1294.jpg

IMG_1296.jpg

IMG_1297.jpg

At this point, we concluded that our "little helper" must have been an enemy spy. Now that we knew they were onto us, our disguise needed to be more elaborate. We needed some glasses or a trench coat......... no, no, a hat! That should do nicely!

IMG_1299.jpg

DD thought this would be perfect for our Chihuahua, Bella, if she had been there with us.

IMG_1298.jpg

I must pause here for a moment to share a couple of pictures of our little senorita. She would have looked marvelous in that mini sombrero!

We thought these could be useful to shake out a Morse Code.

IMG_1300.jpg

So armed with new, more effective gear, we marched on to Norway where we would receive a briefing on our next covert operation. I know you are on the edge of your seats wanting to know how the drama of this battle unfolds, but I must leave it here for now. :lmao:

Firsts tally: 44 (Alice, Kim Possible Adventure, Kidcot masks)

Up Next: Did we really give our “spy” the slip or was he just lurking in the shadows waiting to ambush us?

Wow it sounds as though you really were on a mission, too funny :rotfl: But where on earth were his parents, very odd!

We keep saying we are going to do a Kim POssible mission but then get sidetracked. We WILL do one this summer and hopefully without a random helper like you had!

:rotfl2::lmao:
Too funny - I love how you handled your "mission"!
What up with that parent-less kid?? Weird.

You have the cutest chihuahua I have ever seen! I'm normally not a fan, but she is adorable!!

Just joining your TR, it only took me two days to get caught up!

Looks like you all are having a great time. It makes me so excited for our upcoming trip. I'll be waiting for your next installment!
