Well, after months of playing, I got banned for the first time Someone sent me a message and mentioned a VMK board and then we asked if our titles were the same on them. We didn't even mention any real personal information -- but I guess they frown on meeting outside of VMK. OK, so made a big OOPs -- The good things are that the ban was only for 2 hours, and that I now won't be left wondering when that CL approval or denial email will arrive .

Have any other adults ever been banned? Please share your bad experience with me so I don't have to wallow alone...

Don't feel too bad. I too have been banned before but for 24 hours. I ended up getting caught in a bug and was sort of flying around the room and took a pic of it. When asked how i was flying... being an alien... i made the simple innocent comment that i just had a space ship in my pants pockets. Goodbye alien for 24.

Sorry that happened to you!!!

I have heard, but am not for sure, that some have become a CL after a short ban. They just had to keep a clean slater for a while after the banning. Hopefully that is true and you still have a chance.

Thanks for that . I know it won't make me any different if I became a "CL," because I really do enjoy helping others. So, it's ok if my title doesn't change..but it sure would be nice for others to know that I am there to help them.

Oh A Days, you are undoubtedly the best friend I've made in VMK. They'd be lucky to have someone as cool as you as a CL... so I hope that one day you can be one. On the other hand, if it doesn't happen... you can look on the bright side --- if you're a CL, you have to be nice to everyone all the time --- and while you are definitely one of the nicest, you would not get to "wave" to everyone whenever you want

OK, tears now! No really.. Awwww, F o x (-insert high-pitched, squeaky-melody-sounding "FOX" here-) - thank you so much -- you too are the best friend I've made in VMK! You are sooo kind and very funny...and ok, so once in a while we have a bout of waving (hehe), but it's definitely all in fun LOL. And I have to just say thank you also for being soooo nice to my daughter -- she gets so excited when she sees your name pop up on her friend's list ...and you always take the time to stop in and spend time with her. That really makes her happy, so thank you again for everything -- you're the bestest VMK friend EVER (insert valley girl sounding "EVER," here)!

Now that I've went totally off-topic, thanks again for the support -- it really does mean a lot .

A CL is a community leader and it is not the result of being banned or what you get when banned lol. If you get banned you can no longer become a CL. However, with two hour bans sometimes they will look more into the reason of ban and if it was not a very bad offense (which two hours bans generally are not) they may or may not "wave" the ban and allow you to become a CL - community leader. Hope that helps (and to follow through with the op's request; I have been banned once for two hours. It was in July, so it had not long since opened, and someone asked me how old I was and so I answered lol.)

You really can't be banned at all to be a community leader. So to answer your question of "how long do you have to not be banned for it to happen" I would say the length of time would be forever lol. (with the exepction of reconsidered two hour bans)
