There are suddenly a bunch of 7DMT FP+ available for November

Then ignore the threads that show that negativity. No one has to constantly correct people, in fact I would think that that gets tiresome.

Anyway, this is all conjecture. ALL of it. None of us have a clue what Disney's true reasons are. And we may never.

I wouldn't expect a lot of negativity on a thread titled "There are suddenly a bunch of 7DMT FP+ available for November", but it seems no matter what the subject is, there's a way to make it a negative.

I just wanted to thank the great folks on the DIS for sharing this info! I was able to get 7DMT for our first day at MK now instead of making another trip later in the week just to ride it! Now I have one for our MK day, and one for late afternoon on our MVMCP day. Thank you so much!

So glad so many people are able to pick this up- this is what the Dis does best!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Got mine, too:thumbsup2

For the record, Josh at easyWDW does not think this is a sign that a 3 week FP only test at 7DMT is coming.

I think it's just a change in the percentage of capacity that is being allocated to FP+.

The more I think about it, the more I share the concern this will be a FP only test. Things that make me feel this way:

The slots only opened till right before the busiest time of year, when it would be insane to conduct such a test.

It is clear this is the 2nd attraction they need to alleviate the crowd crush at, and they already did it for A&E.

The TSMM test was an unmitigated disaster, so they're probably eager to conduct this test with hopefully a better plan in place.

The TSMM test was only 3 days, not enough time to correct the mistakes during it, or collect a big enough sample size to gather the data that would help them determine how to make FP only viable (I don't think it is, but they seem to be a dog with a bone about it)

The thread here about it would be gold to the powers that be, while they monitor this forum from their evil lair.

I am one of the people who are wondering too if something is up. For the people who did not get a fast pass for SDMT I hope that it does not happen. I can't imagine going to Disney amped up to see their new hot attraction only to be told it is fast pass only , no standby. Hey maybe , no hopefully Disney figured out something and released a bunch of fps and everything will go well. Gonna get interesting though.

Whoo-hoo! Was able to grab fp+ for 4 of our 6 days there! It just doesn't get any better than this. Thank you!

Thanks for the heads up! Just booked 3 FP+ for mine train! I was bummed when I made my selections a week ago and it wasn't available!

Yay!

I dunno. I was one of those unfortunate souls caught up in both the A&E and TSMM FP+ Only trials in September & October. Same exact thing happened. Availability suddenly skyrocketed for every hour of the day. I thought I'd hit the jackpot on A&E (or rather that the system was working as designed and implemented last NYE when it was just exiting it's trial period with onsite guests). That is they held back availability until guests actually arrived or were about to arrive in WDW.

When I see these popular attractions that have been booked up for weeks suddenly get a massive amount of availability, experience tells me they are doing another experiment.

I'm grabbing my popcorn:: and waiting to see how it unfolds. If there is an experiment planned, the threads here will be legendary.

THANK YOU!!! I was able to grab FP for two of our days, and this was the only thing we really wanted to do. So truly, thank you for this thread!!!

Just a tip, not saying this is going to happen. When they have done these FP+ tests in the past, the FP line essentially becomes the stand-by line, with reports of the FP+ line having waits as much as an hour. When they did FP+ at TSM, there were reports of no line in the morning and even empty vehicles being sent through the ride. Not sure if they are going to have stand-by and FP+ or FP+ only. It is great that so many people are getting FP+ to this ride, but you might want to get as early a FP+ as you can get, or you might still have a long wait. Not saying this is going to happen, just be prepared it might.

Was finally able to get 7DMT fp's for us for our first MK morning, 11/13 between 9:05-10:05am. This works great since it is an EMH morning, and we have an 8am breakfast adr at Grand Floridian Cafe. We won't have to rush to the park to do standby!! So happy!!!

At our 60 day window, all that was available was the 15th at 8-9pm! I kept those since we will be there for evening EMH. I want to ride it at night too!

As good as it is that people have been able to get a FP for 7DMT when they hadn't before, for some reason this is making me nervous...

Those extra FP's came from somewhere. Meaning, somebody is going to go without. Finding out who will help a lot of folks who might show up expecting to ride but unable to ride at all

"Nothing To See Here Folks...!!!" really doesn't help anybody

Agreed. Where did so much extra capacity come from? They didn't just double to size of the ride. Maybe they have found a way to increase overall riders per hour capacity, but if that's the case then why didn't extra fastpasses pop up for every date range and not just for 3 weeks? And if capacity hasn't increased then that means for every extra fast pass they give, that's one fewer standby they will let through.

They are experimenting/testing SOMETHING. What remains to be seen. I will be there on the last day of it (November 23). I benefitted by being able to move my no-so-ideal time to a perfect one.

Yep, a FP+ line around to BOG. Magic.

This is one of those cases where if you got a FP+ (and it looks like many got them on multiple days)..then what is the worry?

Yes I think there will be no standby line during this time (TOTAL GUESS)....and no I'm not happy about it..especially if it changes at some point for all rides all the time...

I had a FP+ but I was hoping to ride it standby at opening as well...that may not be an option now.
This is one of those cases ...where I'll be disappointed...but at least I got to ride it...I'm sure that there were people that did not because there were no FP+ during thier trip and they could not wait 1.5 hours in standby.

And just to be clear before someone calls me a Disney lemming...I do not like FP+....

1) What is the worry for those who got the extra FP+? That the wait for the FP+ line could be up to an hour like they were at times for A&E and TSM during their FP+ tests. On top of what you mentioned about standby lines. Hopefully Disney learned something from those other tests and that won't happen.

Really, if FP+ fits your vacation style your a "Disney Lemming"?

Not Cool Man

Nope not at all...but there is a lot of name calling on both sides..."Negative Nellie"..."Disney Lemming"....lots of others....directed at the other group

I just wanted to put that out there before one of the "Negative Nellies" said I was a FP+ fan or some such thing

I've said in many posts FP+ works for a lot of people...but not for me...what I do dislike is people that have not even used it saying it is great...or not great...they have not used it they have no idea....those are the "negative nellies" and "Disney Lemmings" IMO

Yeah.. I am assuming there will be no standby line and that the FP+ will not be crazy...but you know what happens when you assume...

Which is out and out calling me a liar and at this point you and I are done discussing.

There's another thread currently running where someone said negative comments about fp were being fabricated and they've fairly well been torn up by the anti-fp'ers.

Guess its ok when your side doesn't just call a general nameless group a liar, but actually says it directly to one person.

Just curious; if this does turn out to be a test for no standby, will you come back to this thread to say your dissenters were right? Cuz that would make you wrong.
