There and back again... A disney addicts tale- Updated 9/18

thanks for letting us know how life is going. One of my dearest friends is a foster Mom (well and her DH a foster Dad of course) We were talking the other day and she mentioned how some of her "kids" (a few of the 6 they did not adopt that is!) have kept in touch over the years and some you just know you have a short time to "pour into them" and you "love them until you let them go". You foster parents are just amazing. I personally couldn't do it, the letting go part I guess. I hope you get to go back sooner than later to Disney though!

I just told my DH today I had a fully paid for, short, value room, free dining, trip hanging out there and he went for it! woo-hoo! I was all ready to change the date to January or later and he decided if we kept it value, we could go.

All Star Music here we come! 9/20-9/25 now if I could just get my ticker to show up right in my siggie, can not figure out what I am doing wrong this time!

Enjoy yoiur trip KileyBeth, when you get back, make sure to highjack my report and tell us all about it!

It was finally our day to visit the Magic Kingdom. Everyone woke up early and everyone was in a great mood. We ate breakfast in the POR food court. DH and Tigger split a breakfast platter, Lilo ate a mickey waffle, Tink had a yogurt, and I had my usual banana and coffee. After breakfast, Tink remembered she forgot her wallet so back to the room we went. Originally, we thought we would sleep in and head to the parks late but with everyone up and ready we made it to Magic Kingdom just after the rope dropped. Tink and DH headed to Space Mountain to ride. Tigger, Lilo and I went to Fantasy Land and visited Alice and rode Mad Tea Party.

Then guess where he headed to again.... yep.. the tea cups, rode 3 more times till he was good and dizzy and I was ready to puke.

After this, we headed to ride Peter Pan, Pooh, and see Ariel. Our wait for Ariel was the longest we waited and about 40 minutes. I honestly didnt know if Tigger had it in him to wait this long but he loves Ariel. The moment he got to see her all he could do was stare at her chest. Ariel politely ignores this but then my son does the one thing I feared he would do. He looks at Ariel and says You have really big ****ies. OMG... I just wanted to crawl in a hole and hide. My husband (being a man) laughs and looks at me and says Atleast we know he isnt going to be gay. My daughters are shocked and everyone around us is in various stages of laughter. It was one of those priceless moments only a child like Tigger can bring.

After Ariel, we headed over to Its a Small World (was broke down earlier) and rode this. Tigger was pretty bored with this ride and wanted to go back to the tea cups. We headed once again back to the teacups and then went and had lunch at Pinnochio's Village Haus. I had Figaro fries- boy are they good. The rest of the family split a few pizza meals. After lunch, Dh took Tigger back to the teacups and Tink and I used fastpasses for Space Mountain. We decided to go back to our room for naps after this as we had our pirate and princess party in the evening.

We all napped (except for Tink ho sat outside and talked to her boyfriend) and we all had a difficult time waking up. It was 4:30 and Tink and I ran to get dinner (pasta from the Riverside Mill) We ate in our room and then got ready for the party. Tigger made the most adorable Captain Jack and Lilo was a beautiful Belle. We headed to the party around 6 and on our way to the bus it started to rain. I am not talking a light rain but it poured. Lilo threw on her poncho and began to cry that her dress was being ruined. Tigger (who is very fearful of rain) was crying too. It was a wonderful start for the evening.

When we arrived at Magic Kingdom it was still pouring. We trekked through to the entrance in our ponchos and hoped it would soon stop raining.

It slowed to a drizzle as we made our way to Tomorrowland so Tink could once again ride Space Mountain. We headed over to Indy Speedway so the kids could drive and then went back to the tea cups for Tigger (what is this like 11 times he has ridden this in one day!) We then headed to Dumbo where there was no line. Due to the rain, Magic Kingdom was nearly empty. We then headed to Sebastians Under The Sea Dance Party where my kids had a blast. Tink danced around and Lilo did the chicken dance to make some sad little girl smile. They stayed there for quite awhile just laughing and having fun together.

After the dance party, we went to toon town and toured Mickeys house. We then headed to the barnstormer. As we got in line, Lilo told Tigger this ride was scary so he chickened out and didnt ride. We then headed over to visit the princesses. Lilo really wanted to see Princess Belle but of course she wasnt there and Lilo was dissapointed. Princess Aurora saw her dissapointment and whispered in her ear that if she would wait about 30 minutes she would personally see to it that Belle came by to visit her. So we waited and Lilo got more excited by the minute.

While Lilo and I waited for Belle, Dh took Tigger back to, you guessed it, the tea cups. Man that boy is obsessed!
Finally the moment arrived and they brought Lilo into see Belle. Lilo, my girl who is more pirate than princess, cried because she was so happy Belle came to see her and of course Aurora made it appear as if it was just for Lilo.

We then met up with Dh and Tigger and headed over to Adventureland. We stopped and met Captain Jack who must not know anything about teenage girls, lol. He looked at Tink and said Where is your dress princess. She looked directly at him and told him she was princess enough to wear jeans and still look like a million bucks, lol. He didnt address her again, imagine that. He invited Tigger to join his crew.

We took a few photos and then headed over to the Royal Guard training and rode Pirates of the Carribean, Aladdins Carpets, and took a jungle cruise. The rain had stopped but there were no characters out and about, we hunted down a few but didnt find many unfortunately. There were a few photo ops but even photopass photographers were scarce.

Of course, we stopped for our dole whips, yum! We rode Space Mountain and the teacups again too. Imagine that.
The rain made our evening somewhat dissapointing but there were no lines and no waits. Overall the kids had a good time. We left around 11 pm and headed back to our room. Up next... Celebrating Tigger's Birthday at Epcot
