There and back again... A disney addicts tale- Updated 9/18

Adorable pictures !! Glad you finally made it to breakfast and enjoyed yourself !

Glad you made your reservation on time

Sounds like Tigger is doing great!!!

did you get a picture of him with Mickey?

Lilo...what a sweetie she sounds like:lovestruc

aawwwhhh, that sounds so sweet! I bet we are not seeing a Mickey picture because a) you were shedding tears yourself and couldn't take it or b) tigger was so buried in Mickeys arms there was no decent shot to be had! can you tell this was exactly how my litle ones (and I!) reacted every time a character was interacting with them? no time for Mom and the camera just all about lovin' on the character!

yeah, the Poly was awesome, we justified it with free dining for 6 included but the whole Consierge/club level thing was phenomonal. even my budget consciense DH said it would have been worth the extra $100 or so a night :scared1: it would have cost.

POG juice!! yummo. nothing like a good breakfast to turn around moods and get the day going. and our very first taxi ride ever was in Disney. It just felt so absolutely surreal. lots of fun memories with that for us.

love Lilos sweetness about her family. can't beat that. that is magic right there.

Thanks for the update! can't wait to hear about DHS!

Okay guys, the reason you arent seeing pics of Tigger is that I cant post his face on the internet. I did have some great pics but none that hide enough of his face that I can get away with posting. The reason I cant post is because he is technically still a ward of the court (in foster care) and I have been told by his caseworker that if I am caught posting any information- ie. name, pics, etc on a public forum that it would be grounds for them to remove him from my home. After he is adopted I can post and believe me, I will. I would love for everyone who helped me make Tiggers birthday trip special to get to see his beautiful smile. As for Lilo, she is a sweetheart. She is just starting with the attituditus that comes with the age- in a few months, I am afraid my sweet girl will be gone.

I guess we will have to be as patient as you. You know we will be happy to see the pictures when you are able to post them.

we will wait. But what a sweet sweet time it will be when all the adoption stuff is behind you, formality or not. The healing has already begun and what a fun memory for him to carry with him in life! Believe me, our first now takes our grandson to Disney b/c he remembers it as a magical place growing up. It's fun to watch as they grow and do the things you did with them at the same ages. somehow makes you know you did something right along the way!

joining. great report. keep the reading coming!

Welcome K Reile! Glad you found me!

Sorry I have been MIA lately. We have lots going on here. I am getting new windows installed next week so we had to clean out Lilo's room just so they could get in there. I know that sounds horrible but this is a normal thing with Lilo. We are also tearing down a shed in our backyard, it was full of junk so we have spent alot of time at the city dump this week. We will be buying a much smaller shed to put in a corner in our yard, leaving room for the Ewok Village playset my dh is designing for Tigger. We are also redecorating the girls bedrooms after the windows get put in. We bought their new bedding yesterday at JCPenney. Lilo is very excited as her room looks like it belongs to a 5 yo and she is nearly 12. Here is Lilo's bedding, bright and cheery just like Lilo!

Tink always enjoys mixing things up but sticks with the same colors every time so not alot of work there just a few changes to be made. Tink's bedding is more calm and soothing. Tink is one stressed out girl so a calm stress free room is a must for her.

Okay, now that I have made my excuses, back to the report. Next installment up in a few. Thanks for sticking with me!

We headed from the Polynesian to Hollywood Studios, made it there before 10am. Dh and Tink headed to TOT to ride and Lilo, Tigger and I got a GAC for both Lilo and Tigger, a stroller for Tigger and then headed to get a FP for RNR. As we passed Playhouse Disney Live, a CM stopped us. She asked us if we wanted to be family of the show and we agreed. Shortly after, we were seated inside waiting for the show to start. Tigger was so excited. Seeing Tigger watch his favorite Playhouse Disney characters come to life was amazing. I never imagined I would have so much fun just watching his reaction to it all. He laughed and interacted and it was amazing. I can’t even describe what I felt. After the show, he got to meet the Playhouse Disney characters. He ran right up to each of them and hugged them. After Playhouse Disney, we headed over to see the Highschool Musical Show and wait for DH and Tink. Lilo and Tigger enjoyed the show. Lilo likes HSM and thought the show was energetic and fun. Tigger liked the music and the dancing. After, we met up and headed to RNR to use our fastpasses. I really wanted to ride so we did babyswap and Tink, Lilo and I rode first while DH and Tigger waited. Lilo was really scared to ride this ride but didn’t want to chicken out as she was still kicking herself for chickening out on the last trip. The FP line was moving pretty slow so 30 minutes to contemplate just how scary the ride might be was torture for her. Finally it was our turn. Lilo rode and was scared, said she probably will never ride another coaster but was glad she did it once. I loved it. It was the best ride! When we met up with DH, we found that to do babyswap, he had to go to the back of the fast pass line, which was several feet past the line entrance now. So 40 minutes later, he finally got to ride. Next time, he will just ride in the single rider line, so much faster! By this point it was almost 1 pm, we had only gotten a couple of rides in and I was starting to freak out. We were way behind schedule. DH being the wonderful guy he is (:rolleyes1 What a Jerk) grabs the schedule from my fingers and tears it in half. Then goes on to tell me thatI need to stop with the scheduling and just enjoy the experience. In the end, he was right (dont tell him that) but I was downright ticked at him right then.

Love the new bedding ! How lucky you were chosen to be the family of the show !

It's always fun to redecorate. :) How exciting to be the family of the show. :thumbsup2 So glad everyone is having fun.

I love the comforters.....So pretty:goodvibes

How excting that you got to be Family of the Day:cool1:

Glad Tigger is having a great experience.

I would have been ticked to at the ripping of the schedule, but sometimes it is more relaxing and fun for everyone to just wing it:thumbsup2

Boy was I ticked. Now I laugh and am even a little glad he did it (as I was way to obsessed) but at the time I was seething with anger. It took the rest of the day before I was even ready to look at him and another few days before I admitted to myself that I was obsessed, still havent admitted it to him, thank God he doesnt read what I post here, lol.

This sounds like about the coolest thing ever!!!

This would set my inner commando off into a hissy fit the likes of which the World has ever seen, so I can relate. But it probably was for the best. Ugh. I hate it when they're right.

Things are crazy here. My nephew is staying with me for awhile (he was born the day we left for Disney) and life is a bit crazy. Neck deep in diapers and bottles and not getting any sleep will do that to a person. Plus, my brother in law comes to visit in a few days so trying to prepare for company. Will try and work on the report someday soon. Maybe when life isnt so hectic. Thanks for sticking with me!

Thanks for checking in

We totally understand

Take your time:goodvibes

Yep, babies are a full time job :cloud9:
We'll stick by you :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 we will be around, hope everything is okay with the new mommy.

Are kids still talking about Disney?

just drop us a one liner after the middle of night feeding every now and again.

Joining in!
Congratulations on the paternity suit! What a wonderful way to start a vacation!!
I'm so happy for you that Tigger is enjoying the characters! Awesome!
Your family sounds wonderful!
As for you being angry...I hate being disappointed, in myself and others. When things don't go according to plan I feel responsible! It's hard to let go of the commando spirit, isn't it?! You want it to be perfect and let your family do EVERYTHING!
Wow! A baby, we have a 3 month old in the house (my grandson), luckily he is a good sleeper, since his 2 year old brother is not!
Looking forward to more!
