I can't remember which update I last commented on (it's been so long) so I'm just going to start from Surprise the Frump. It sounds like a good place to start.

Kristen, I don't blame you for not wanting to meet Mickey in a poncho. In July, I was dragged in there to meet him while soaking wet. My mom insisted. It was not fun.

I'm glad your surprise was such a success. How nice of that CM to film it for you. Disney CMs are wonderful people.

I miss Spectromagic too. MSEP depresses me because it's not Spectro and that's all I really want. Come back to me, Spectro! COME BACK!

The Magic, The Memories, and You is such a cute show. I wasn't expecting much but it blew me away. The Walt Disney part made me tear up.

I really need to dine at Coral Reef. It's definitely going on the list of "Must Dos" for next summer. Hopefully Alejandro will still be working there just so I can sing the Lady Gaga song. Heck, I'll probably sing it anyway because I'll be thinking about how much I hope Alejandro will be working there.

I hate that Starring Rolls closes so early BUT the fact that it does means cupcakes for breakfast and that's alright with me.

I saw those Forever21 crew necks the other day and freaked out. I want to order one but I can't decide between Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast. It's such a tough decision. I feel like I'm having to choose between my nonexistent children.

I'm not a huge fan of The Wizard of Oz but I LOVE Wicked. You're absolutely right that it's life-changing. I've been harboring a not-so-secret desire to play Elphaba ever since I heard the soundtrack for the first time. I have no actual acting/singing experience so it would never happen, but what would life be without wild fantasies?

I'm so glad you agree! I know, every time I see it I want to be Elphaba. It's an extraordinary role to play, and the girls who get to be her are SO incredibly lucky. Show business is just too fun. I wish it wasn't so competitive or else I totally would have majored in it.

I've been quietly lurking on you ladies trip reports for awhile now but after seeing your friend cry after meeting buzz and woody I just had to comment! That was the sweetest/dorkiest/funniest thing I've ever seen (i swear i mean dorky in the nicest way possible! because i myself, am a total dork ) I love how genuinely excited you guys are about every experience - i'm just glad i'm not the only one that cries happy tears in disney

Who wouldn't be excited about meeting their favorite character?! I still get all weird when I see Donald Duck! It means that we're all in touch with our childhood. And there is nothing wrong with that.

Thanks for the advice! I was thinking more about it, and my mom said she'd be ok with bringing ONE friend, which I don't mind because I already have one in mind that I'd really love to bring. She said that the friend would have to pay for their ticket, plane ticket and food. That would be roughly $1000. I told her the price might scare people away..and if she could make any sort of compromise that would be good. She said if the parents are hesitant she said she would pay for half/$150 worth of the dining plan. I really hope it works out, I just want to figure out more details before I bring it up! Thanks again!!

I brought one friend to Disney during my Freshman year of high school and we had a BLAST! That sounds like a great idea! Yeah, just plan it all out and lay it out in an organized fashion. I hope it all works out!

The toy story cue looks so fun! I'm not normally the type of person who will go and visit characters (other than when i see ones i really like and at character meals) but after being on DISboards i now really want to go and meet some more characters. Woody and Buzz are defintely on my list of characters to meet!

Everytime i see those little green aliens I think of pizza planet, Mr. Potato Head and of course the claw! When i saw the third toy story i was crying and clapping when they green aliens used the claw to get everyone out of the dump! That entire movie was very emotional for me because it came out the summer before i went to college so i really related to the whole plot. We actually had a toy story 3 showing at our school the begining of my freshman year and everyone was reacting the same way as i did. It felt really reassuring to know i wasn't being totally crazy!

The rest of the cue looks like it is great as well. Love the rocket being there! Great photo opportunity It makes me think of the first toy story with sid (who is actually the garbage man in toy story 3).

Your interaction with woody and buzz looks like it was great! My favorite parts were buzz reacting to nat going to woody first and buzz trying to take some of your things. I'm glad you filmed all of that!

When during the christmas season r u going 2 be there? It would be so magical if you are their for christmas. i heard for both christmas and new years they have special events in the park all day. i'm jealous because my brother is going to be there on christmas (at the disney studios) for his honeymoon!

That's a great idea! I'd love to see them when they're done! They really are a great way to relive the trip after it's over.
Hmm let's see. Well, I use iMovie. I don't know if you have a mac or not, but it's a great program and it comes with the computer! I have also used Windows Movie Maker in the past.
My biggest tip would probably be to only leave in what you REALLY need. I always trim my video clips down as much as possible... and clearly I'm still left with a ton of footage. But if you have smaller clips, it keeps your audience's attention for a longer period of time.
Also, if you add in still images, I wouldn't keep them on the screen for more than 2-4 seconds. After that, they seem dragged out.
Also, if you have background music, it adds a LOT if the movement in the clips matches up to it. Or the switching of the pictures. It takes a bit of time to get it lined up just right, but it looks great afterwords!
I would just take your time doing it.. and be sure you're very happy with what you've created before you move forward in the video.
That's all I can really think of for now - but I hope you have lots of fun creating your movie and going on your trip! I know I sure did! ​

Hmmm... I don't think I ran into any problems! I charged my video camera every night, and I had a back up SD card so I had plenty of memory. So it was good!
You're gonna want to tape a bunch of stuff while you're there... then just edit it later. That's what I always do. Don't worry about being too particular in the moment.
Also, try and make sure the lighting is good... because dark video clips are a pain
