Theme Park Resort Bus Stops

lol yeah I am :) Just because I have always stayed values and Im sure those who stay in say Pop Century can appreciate how long of a walk it is to the bus lines at the end of an MK or Epcot day! lol.

I was just curious that if they stayed in the same order was all :) I know the location of the All Star bus stops did not change from my 96 trip to my most recent trip...its always been the furthest away til they added Pop :) I figured that the deluxe bus stop locations never really changed at the parks

They do stay 'pretty much' the same, year to year. But, if a resort has a bus stop that is close to the park exit at one park, it may very well have a stop that is further removed from another park's exit. There is just no rhyme or reason. Those who have stayed at the deluxe resorts have actually come home and complained about the fact that they had to walk quite a distance to their bus stop at various parks. Seems that some feel the more money they pay to stay entitles them to closer bus stops.

I truly have not seen one resort that has consistently better bus stop locations than any other resort. But, we all have our own favorite resort..and perhaps if you are at one particular park, you may decide to choose a resort based on the transportation options. Love MK and want to be there a lot? Stay at a monorail resort, WL or even AK....AK has the closest bus stop at MK...for instance.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a map of the resort bus stops at the different parks. Thanks in advance everyone!

JMHO - CSR - is a convention resort - so the buses are very rarely crowded - especially in the morning and early afternoon going to the parks and coming back from the parks we've only had to stand when we left a park at closing time. Even then, everyone at the stop fit on the bus!:thumbsup2

You can request a room number closest to the bus stop - just do that when you make your reservations - they usually put you close or in the section of rooms of your request.

Just back from PO F Q, we thought staying at a MOD would gets us better bus stops-WRONG. The stop at hollywood studies was # 14, last stop there. So much for staying at the MOds for a better bus stop....

I might get in trouble here..

But given the miles and miles and miles of walking you do every day at the parks.. the "extra" distance to the bustop is -- at most - 300 feet. Being at DisneyWorld has a way of playing with your head.

People get concerned about the walk to the buses.. why? Because their feet hurt. Why do their feet hurt?

Because they didn't prepare themselves for what amounts to a walking vacation and they didn't take precautions to protect their feet. If people did the basics on foot care and preparing for a "walking vacation" -- they reallly wouldn't care about the extra 300 feet at the bus stops. Because their feet would either not hurt at all.. or hurt a lot less.

Anyways...

It's just not a great way to pick a resort... certainly it shouldn't be a major consideration because while it may change rarely - it can and does change.

I agree completely.

It reminds me of the people who will run you over to get the closest parking spot at the gym :confused3

Well don't forget using that statement when leaving the Magic Kingdom for one of the Magic Kingdom Resorts you can take the Resort Monorail, boat to the Wilderness Lodge or the walkway to the Contemporary. Plus when leaving Epcot and going to the Magic Kingdom Monorail Resorts it's a Monorail ride to the TTC and then a switch to the Resort Monorail, which is something I rather take then the buses if I had to choose. Basically with the Magic Kingdom you won't have far to go when leaving and with Epcot you have a faster option. So I would rather take that and still need to walk a little bit farther to a bus station at the other two parks where buses are the only options for returning.
