Theft while riding rides?

I simply stuck the purse next to me...between the seat and me ...and had no trouble keeping up with it.

I'm 6'4", 275lbs, I don't think I'll be tucking anything between me and the seat.

Thanks for all this great information. We are hitting the road in 2 hours and 12 minutes for the greatest place on earth.

That's awesome - hope you have a really great trip!! :donald: :mickeyjum

IOA and Universal had lockers that you could store your bags in for long enough to ride the ride (they don't allow bags of any kind on some of their rides, mostly the coasters).

The lockers work electronically - there is a computerized keypad that gives you a code to use for your locker.

I have to say the last time I did this that the computer assigned me a locker and when I went to that locker, it was already full of someone else's stuff. I could have run off with all their stuff had I been so inclined.

I am not sure I will use them again. I will have to do Universal without bags, or travel with someone who won't ride coasters and can hold my bag.

At WDW I just take the bag on all the rides.

The same thing has happened to me, I love universal but hate their lockers. In a 2 day trip last year I once was given a locker with someones stuff in, which I had to relock obviously, then it wouldn't give me another one, and I couldn't get my stuff back out of the locker twice. It simply wouldn't accept the locker number I put in and I had to get a member of staff to help.

It was a real pain and I think because we're staying on site, I'm not going to take a bag at all this year to save the hassle.

We went to Worlds of Fun in Kansas City once and I spent the entire time unfavorably comparing it to Disney World (like one map per the entire party and none available inside the park) so I won't go back to another non-Disney theme park ever again.

I just added one more reason for when people ask me why I've never been to Six Flags which is less than an hour away.

We live less than 10 minutes from Worlds of Fun.

It's not at all a "bad" park.

But it is not Disney... and that makes all the difference.

I have not set foot inside Worlds of Fun since 1987.

I do the same thing with comparing other theme parks to Disney, although we still try other places just for the new and different experiences. They never measure up. As for Six Flags...if your is like ours, your not missing a thing.

I read some time ago on these boards about a person who left either their digital camera or camcorder on the floor at Soarin. The CM did move the item as the OP said, but by the time ther guest realized it had been moved, the could not find their item & was told they had to exit the ride. Unfortunately it was lost & never turned in. So I would recommend to anybody if you leave anything on the floor or behind while you ride, make sure it wouldn't ruin your vacation if it gets misplaced and keep your valuables with you!

On EE at DAK, if you have a backpack, put it on the floor of the car, and put your foot through one of the arm straps. Same with other coasters!

BTW, disneyworldluvr, your use of the MediumTurquoise color virtually disappears on-screen.
I can barely make it out.

Hi Robo. I take care of this by left clicking/hold on mouse and scrolling over the words. It brings up a dark blue background with white words which are much easier to read. :thumbsup2

I have to say I am one of those people who have left my bag in a stroller and I have never had a problem. Maybe im lucky, I will say I always kept my money on me and never left anything to valuable in the bag.

In September when we were at MGM, my daughter forgot her autograph book which was full of names on a ride, When she realized it, we went back to the spot we could last remembered she had it and to her surprise, a good soul turned it in!

Also don't forget, if your staying in a disney resort, anything you buy you can always have shipped to your hotel gift shop for no fee :goodvibes :goodvibes

I am always surprised at what people leave in their strollers when they go into a building or ride, but the only thing that I've seen stealing stuff from the strollers are birds! I've watched them peck open bags of food and help themselves...they are pretty smart!
