The Zombie Apocalypse has begun! Your stuck in Disney, where would you hide/defend?

I dunno if this counts but I think I would want to be on the DREAM or Fanasty.

Last place I would want to be. Depending on what zombie mythos you are paying attention to, people don't always immediately become ill. There could be an incubation period where the person would seem fine or just like they had a normal illness. All you would need is for one of those people to get on the ship and then turn... and you would have no where to escape.

I vote Cinderella's Castle. You have the restaurant for food, the suite for living, all kinds of monitoring (isn't that a central monitoring station?), good line of sight for picking off the zombies, my DH thinks there are doors that can close the drawbridge areas of the castle (I don't, but he does) for more security, and in the event of needing a quick escape, there is always Tink's high-wire.

My DS votes for hiding out in PoC. :confused3

I think I'll be in the mob rushing to TSM at rope drop...the single minded madness of FP runners will plow down any zombies that are unfortunate to be zombie-ing between the turnstiles and the FP machines!

Not to burst your bubble, but the first thing that happens in every zombie movie is that the military is overwhelmed and destroyed, leading to abandoned tanks and handy sacks of weapons and ammo left in strategic locations.

You need to think outside the military paradigm if you want to survive the zombie apocalypse!

Not a movie, it is real life...we will survive :thumbsup2

In the morning it might be a good idea for WDW to have a special promotion that any guests who capture and bring in any remaining Zombies get a Go to the Head of the Line FP for the day. The Zombies that are turned into Disney can then be cleaned up bolted permanently to the floor and used as animatronics in various attractions, without the use of electricity so thus are very Eco Friendly and Green ;)

My first thought was the Swiss Family Tree House. Up high, I could spot them from afar, and it's already set up to live in.

I asked my 16-year old, who is a zombie freak, what she thought of that, and she said it's probably a good idea, unless everything turns out to be just fake props. "I'll just grab this knife...what! It's RUBBER! What the hey-AAAHHH!!"

I know I'm late to the party but I play this at home with df so here goes. I'm going for the tree of life in AK. Df votes for something inside of MK because its seperated by water and he thinks one could defend themselves there in the Castle or the Tree House or on Tom Sawyers Island. But see I think there are going to be to many people in the park already and well once they are infected its just going to be pure mayhem.

I'm going to go for AK the park closes early and has fewer people on any given day since its so open there are few hiding places for zombies durring daylight ours making it less attractive to them compared to any other park. Its farther away then anything else in Disney so zombies will have a very long walk ahead of them and no monorail to hop on buying me time. Since so many peoplle use Disney Transport once things go bad few people will be able to make it to AK. I know there is food to be found, allterain vehicles, a medical facility be it vetinary but I'm sure they have real medical supplies. Endless food supply sorry vegans. I've seens some weapons displayed in various locations that I could collect and I plan to barackade the entrances. I'll live in the tree of life or I'm sure there is a spot out on the savannah I could hide in.

We are a military family, so it is not going to be pretty when we get done with those annoying zombies ::yes::

This reminds me of a family story of The Night The Russians Invaded Putah Creek. In the late 50's my dad was going to Vetrinary school at UC Davis. We were living in Married Students apartments provided by the college, but a lot of married students were living in cheap housing along Putah Creek, a small creek in a ravine with a lot of under brush. The ROTC decided that it would be a great place for night manouvers. Unfortunately, they failed to ensure that all the students living near-by were informed. As in, recent Korean War vets attending on the GI Bill. As in, recent Korean War vets hearing gunfire in the middle of the night, with their families there to protect.

Rumors varied whether it was the Russians were invading or if it was the Martians (this was the 50s), but either way, they meant to stop it. The ROTC were shooting blanks, but the vets converted this to a live-fire training exercise. Fortunately, no-one was killed but a number of ROTC were injured. No charges were filed, and the ROTC changed its proceedures about neighborhood notification. But it did cause quite a bit of excitement for a while.

Sitting here at Storm along bay, I think I would hold up at the top of the jib slide. The stair is spiral and easily defended, and, if necessary, it has a quick escape route.

I would grab a cart of food and hide in the stretching portrait room, and hopefully there would be some way to stop the ride from progressing. Then I would be safely protected in a room with no windows and no doors, so if there's no way out, there's no way in.

I can SOOOO see this happening:sad2:Glad to hear no one was killed

im currently burried in the Downtown Disney's T-Rex sand pit with Dino bones and a straw for air until I can figure out a better place to run to.

LOL come on, even in the face of a zombie induced massacre, people will still be there at rope drop running to get their FP!

Here's a good article to help us prepare for this zombie apocalypse, compliments of the wonderful people over at the CDC.

This is a really, really cool article! I teach high school and I talk about disaster preparedness and I'm handing this out. The kids might actually read it!! :scared1:

When it is over, my family with be among the survivors :thumbsup2 We will emerge from the Norway Stave Church, walking in the first rays of sunshine looking at all the destruction and wondering if this will shorten the line that day on Toy Story Mania :rotfl:

But do you have park hoppers?

Toy Story Mania - that's were I'll hide, it would be almost impossible for a Zombie to get on that ride unless they were at HS at the rope drop or got a fast pass! I think i'll be safe, Zombies could never work the fastpass machines :rotfl:

Thank you. I now have Diet Coke all over my keyboard.

I'd be stealing one of the DME buses, driving to Port Canaveral, and commandeering the Disney Dream, and taking her way out to sea, dropping anchor somewhere in international waters.
