The Young Avengers and The Phantom of the Opera (YAMRP Part 2)

OOC: I just gotta find a suit and a dress. June will still be sick by Friday, too sick to leave bed. She will not be going.

OOC: Lol helpful. I have one formal set already I might use, it looks kinda vintage too which is kinda what I'm aiming for. I still wanna look around tho. Are homecoming dresses typically long, short, or equal?

No not at all, I really ship them. It'd be cute and very interesting.

OOC: Confession time: I've never been to homecoming.

But the impression I have is that a more formal dance like prom would have longer dresses and homecoming witch is not as formal can have shorter dresses.

Okay good, glad I'm not alone. LOL, you ship them, that's funny. I ship Hope&Jay and Mike&Evelyn.

Gordon: "She is still at the camp. I will do so after this class ends."

OOC: Don't worry me ethier. Me and my friend went to the homecoming game, but it was awkard and glaring couples so we went home and watched Iron Man 2 haha. Again, our dance is no more =( All people really care about is the football game and those ugly Texas mums. Sorry if you like them, but I am not a fan. They still buy dresses for school, but no dance. It's weird lol.

I was thinking short dresses too, thanks.

Haha yes shipping is fun. I love these characters so much. I ship all the ones you mentioned, plus Nancy&Phil.

Jay: "Okay Gordon. Good luck buddy!"

OOC: This is the dress I might use for homecoming.

OOC: I don't get mums either, mums are stupid.

Jay: "I dunno. Your my buddy. It fits you." Mr. Stamos: He started to lecture on the Big Bang Theory. OOC: I'm glad someone agrees. They are stupid, ugly, and such a waste of hundreds of dollars.

Gordon: "Well thank you. I appreciate that."

Hope: She paid attention.

Nova: Nova, who was sitting next to Jeff, exchanged a look at the mention of homecoming. She whispered, "No offense, but what is the point of a homecoming dance?"

Jeff: He replied, "There is none."

:teacher:Mr. Stamos: Next he guided his class with thier finding area of circles worksheets.

OOC: Three! Definitely three.

OOC: Pick three my lord! (hope you get that reference.)

BTW, SHIELD has been leaked to the public, so you are about to see Raven's file, all I know of her.

Name: Raven Phyllis Marie Fury
Codename: Excalibur

Raven Fury was born September 14th as the daughter of Amelia H. Fury nee Jackson and Nicholas J. Fury, the Director of SHIELD. She was kept secret as well as a baby can be. When Raven was four years old, Amelia Fury was killed on a mission. After that, Raven and Director Fury mutually decided to start training her to be an agent, despite Raven being four years old, partially so Raven cold learn to defend herself and partially because they had decided she was ready. Taught by several hand-picked agents, Raven was one of the fastest trained agents in the organization. She was mission ready at the age of six, and she did indeed start doing missions at the age of six. Academic education via tutor was kind of arranged around her missions, never actually joining a private school or the public school system. Raven was lethal and ruthless, anyone doubting how good of an agent a six year old was found themselves on the ground with black eyes and likely a lot worse from that very six year old. Raven received the name Excalibur after one of her first missions in which she went head to head with a target and defeated him with one of the decorative swords on the wall. Excalibur became a big name around the organization as she went on increasingly more and increasingly more dangerous missions, as well as ones composed of teams where her skills were showcased. She continued to train everyday; even if there was a modicum of respect for being an agent and being the director’s daughter, it also meant that she constantly had to prove herself. Her first kill was at the age of seven. The mission was a simple rescue and retrieval mission, but, cornered by the enemy leader, she shot him and killed him, and legend has it without a blink. She has only continued to earn more blood on her hands. But with her first blood and showing no sign of stopping, added with her tendencies to act like an innocent little girl then suddenly turn menacing to scare the new recruits (apparently, to Raven and the agents usually tasked with introducing new recruits, this was a hilarious prank), Excalibur became a name that people respected and feared, SHIELD and enemy alike. Then, Raven earned another title. Exploring a strange occurrence, she came across a small group of Asgardians who were also hunting the source of the occurrences. After dueling each one to a draw and then, after talking and coming to an agreement, hunting the source together, an Asgardian criminal, and capturing him, they proclaimed her “a pint-sized warrior” and christened her with an honorary Asgardian name and title: Halle, Midgard’s Warrior Maiden Champion. After this, Director Fury gave her the nickname/pet name Hal. But there was one mission that was the critical turning point of her career. It was later labeled “The Massacre” and it was very costly, which is all that the average agent knows about it, but Excalibur was there. Director Fury put together a ten agent team, including Raven, to take down a man who was assembling a threat. They had been expecting an industrial complex but it turned out to be a military science lab once inside. Once inside, five agents ended up betraying the other half of the team; they had been led into a trap. The mission quickly turned into a battle for their lives for Excalibur and the four other agents still on her side. But that wasn’t the worst part. Excalibur was alone when she came across some scientists. They had created a gamma-based life-threatening illness. She couldn’t stop them from using it on Hope Banner, and Excalibur went on a rampage, killing the scientists, getting the Banners and killing every enemy she saw. In the end, only one other agent that went with her lived to make it out with her. However, once they were out it was just as bad. The other agent, Codename Andromeda, was injured badly, both of her arms mauled and mutilated, and Excalibur had been shot a couple times. They all almost died, but then a miracle occurred and Raven struck a deal with Odin. No one is really quite sure what the deal entails, but it seems like the Banners got the memory of the event hidden and rescue was brought in exchange for a favor to be called in at any time. They were found and taken back to SHIELD. Both agents were the only agents to live, however Andromeda’s arms had to be amputated but were replaced with top-of-the-line prosthetics and Excalibur herself had to spend several days healing. Raven told her father, Director Fury, “I’ve spilled more blood this day than all of my life before.” Apparently it was so tragic or distressing and worrisome that it would get out that Director Fury brought in an agent, a psychologist, so Agents Excalibur and Andromeda could have mental blocks and barriers to hide away The Massacre and it was never spoken of again. Word still got around, but only of the mission’s famous name and its deadliness. Director Fury had Raven go back to training during the recovery period, this time more based on espionage, thinking spy work would be better suited, at least for the time being. During recovery and training, Raven struck up a friendship with Hope Banner, who slipped in and out of the illness randomly and so was being kept at SHIELD for treatment and observation, which was an amazing feat for Raven considering that after The Massacre, Raven was mostly unwilling to trust others and felt alienated by other SHIELD agents. According to SHIELD, despite the mental blocks and barriers, Raven knows it’s there and has never been able to trust or love again like she could before The Massacre, and she has also since refused to do team missions, opting for solo. When her recovery and training period was over, Raven started going into solo spy missions. These were longer missions, and usually infiltrations, during which she posed as a foster kid to some of the biggest hidden threats in the country in order to gather information and taker them down. A couple of times, she got caught, and it often turned bloody but SHIELD agents stationed nearby would get in and rescue her before it got out of hand. After every mission, she would fake her alias’ death. Her aliases are: Benjamina Fletcher (According to Excalibur: “She was a boss, expert in martial arts and history. Still can’t believe my cover didn’t get blown; she was like me in temperament and I hated that name.”), Mary Mark (According to Excalibur: “A quiet bookworm that, when she did speak, everyone stopped to listen.”) Ursula Von Larsen (According to Excalibur: “Top actress who turned dressing completely in black from Goth to high end fashion.”), Carmen Murray (According to Excalibur: “The singer and guitarist who funded the rock band Stars Fall, which now commemorates her in everything they do as the girl who tragically gave their life for them, Carmen Murray.”) and Jean Costello (According to Excalibur: “She was known as ‘Mean Jean the Basketball Queen’.”). After her last mission, things died down a bit, but then a SHIELD scientist put together a super soldier serum. When Director Fury began to go through a list of potential candidates and Excalibur heard about it, she volunteered. Director Fury didn’t refuse. After a long prep, she was injected with the serum. There were complications, as in the rest of it was destroyed, but it worked, the super soldier serum was inside Excalibur and it was successful. Soon after, Raven was sent on a long-term mission as Raven Fletcher to protect a group of persons of interest. Apart from a minor failed group mission to apprehend a target, Raven Fury has been undercover on that long-term mission. Only Director Fury knew the true number of Raven’s kill count, but the average agent thinks it at least over 100 people, if not more. Raven Fury died on September 14th, the day she turned sixteen, when she was shot four times and was caught in a small explosion.

OOC: Raven is not actually dead, don't freak out.

Principal: She came over the intercom. "Teachers and Students, a moment of your time please, for a very serious matter. I deeply regret to break the news to you that we have been informed that one of our newest students, Raven Fletcher, was murdered on September 14th, her 16th birthday. To her friends and family I can not properly express my sorrow for such a tragedy to have occurred. The school will be hosting a special memorial service during the first half of morning electives on Thursday. I ask you to be supportive of those who have been hit hardest by the loss. That is all."

OOC: Raven is not actually dead, don't freak out.

Hope: Jarvis tipped her off that SHIELD files had been leaked onto the internet. She looked and her heart almost stopped when she saw Raven's. She opened it and read it under the desk. What a horrible early life Raven had had, losing her mother and becoming an agent all in the seem weak it seemed. As she continued to read, it was clear there was a lot about Raven's life that Raven had never spoken of. Excalibur, Asgardians, it was all so surreal. And then she read about the Massacre. One side of her felt so bad that Raven had been betrayed and hurt so bad. That part understood why Raven spent so much of her time in solitude, and disliked being with a group. But she was also angry, angry and sad that Raven had hid this from Hope, the secrets behind her illness, behind how Raven had met her.She understood a bit that Raven had tried to protect her, but that didn't make it right and Hope was still hurt. Reading on, having to read about a hard recovery and a hard life made her feel pity for Raven again. All those people that she had to be...did Raven even know who she was any more? The unknown kill count....exactly how much blood did her friend have on her hands? Hope was beginning to believe there was another side to Raven, or that her best friend simply hadn't allowed Hope to really see her. Ten a sentence stopped her cold: Raven had died. Raven was dead.

Principal: She came over the intercom. "Teachers and Students, a moment of your time please, for a very serious matter. Hope: Any bad feeling she had of Raven was broken in this moment when the announcement ended. She burst to tears, dissolving into heaving, wracking sobs as her body literally shook in the sadness. "My best friend is dead," she whispered. "My best friend is dead," she repeated aloud in a speaking tone. "Raven's dead!"

WINTER SOLIDER SPOILERS AHEAD

Jay: Suddenly the room turned into a frantic buzz with many phones buzzing. The principal spoke again. "Everyone please go home immediately. There has been an attack in Washington DC. Stay safe everyone. We are still getting details."
Stamos turned on the tv and an array of horrific images flashed before them. Trinskleton was being destroyed. This giant ships almost came up. Some organization called Hydra that had Nazi ties had been infalting SHIELD. They were going to kill a third of the world!? There was no more SHIELD? And all the information had been exposed includeing his parents.
He got a pit of intense worry for his family. Were they okay? Oh my gosh, would be an orphan. Would he lose his best friend, his sister. He was speechless and white as a ghost. And oh god, when the principal announced Raven was dead. Raven, dead. It wasn't possible. She was the deadliest and bravest person he knew. No.
His heart was ripped out of his chest seeing Hope so broken. Jay instinctively got on the ground with her and held her tight. "Hope I'm sorry. It's going to be okay. She died with honor, she probably saved the entire world." Jay was trying so hard not to cry. He swooped her up and took her to a restroom to have some privacy.

OOC: This is definitely the saddest thing in the RP ever.:guilty:

OOC: Yeah. Sorry. :guilty:

Hope: She was still crying. "She's dead. My best friend, the girl I thought of as a sister, is dead. She's dead. What am I supposed to do? I lose every single person I love. Did you read her file. It's - it's horrid. I was mad at her. But then she was dead, and I feel bad, so bad. It hurts. Oh my goodness it hurts so so much."

OOC: It's okay, it makes it interesting. I'm just so invested in these characters, but that makes it cool. I seriously applaud all the authors of this thread.

Jay: "I'm not sure exactly what you do, but time will tell, and I'll know you'll be okay. Your a miracle, and you've survived so much. I'm really sorry what happened, it's tragic. You haven't lost everyone. Your father is still here, I'm here, and so is everyone at the manor, your big happy family. I haven't had a chance to read the file yet. Oh beautiful, don't be upset at yourself. Everyone gets mad at people sometimes. You were so kind to her, it's okay. Don't hurt. You'll make it through." He tried to be stable and strong, but a little showed because he was upset about Raven dying and worrying about his family.
