The Young Avengers and The Phantom of the Opera (YAMRP Part 2)

Mike: "I have no idea, I wasn't there when it was released, I was with you, and -" he lowered his voice so they wouldn't be heard, "Raven did't say anything. If they did we're all in big trouble. But if Raven didn't warn us then I think we're safe. I mean, Raven wasn't, her SHIELD agent file was probably released, but I doubt non-agents were revealed."

Hope: "It'll be okay," she reassured him as they approached. "Now act sad, Raven's dead."

Evelyn: She spoke softly. "Oh true the non-agents probably weren't released. I'm glad, you'd be at a much higher risk than me."

Jay: He let out a sigh of relief. "Thanks. You know, there's nobody I'd rather do this with by my side."

Evelyn: She and Mike met up with the other YA's, and they all put on their sad faces. Walking in the kids in the halls had a variety of reactions to she and Jay, but there effeminately was a lot of whispering.
"Did you hear, their parents have killed hundreds?"
"Do you think they'd kill someone."
"Wow, she's almost as hot as her mom." (That one made her feel very uncomfortable.)
"That's pretty cool their parents are agents."
"I wonder if they know the Avengers?"

Mike: "Yeah." He played the sad act and whispered to Evelyn and Jay, "Ignore them. It's just gossip, they'll find something else to talk about soon enough and forget all about you."

Hope: "I'd feel that same way." She held his hand and put on her sad face. She nodded supportively at Mike's whisper.

Gordon and Thora: They walked in the back of the pack sadly.

Evelyn: She took his hand and whispered under her breath, "Thank You.".

Jay: He gratefully nodded at Mike and wrapped his arm around Hope. The group kept on the sad act, they were quite good actors. He dropped Hope off at her room and entered theatre. This would be int resting, as this was Raven's first elective too.

Evelyn: She parted the group and ran on the field. Evelyn always wore her workout outfit in the mornings, and brought her outfit to change after practice.

Mike: He went to art, where the art teacher suggested that they make some art in honor of Raven. His friend would really appreciate the irony of this as everyone agreed hastily and went to work. He decided to draw a grim reaper with a raven perched on his arm.

Hope: At the math and science club, a couple people expressed condolences for her loss, which she nodded and thanked them for, and the group got into a discussion about technology.

Thora: She painted a dark, lightning filled sky with a Raven flying through it.

Jay: He walked in and there was an awkward silence and Jay sat down in silence. Finally one kid broke the glass, "Jay, we're really sorry about Raven." Jay murmured back, "Thanks." The rest of class was spent on music.

Evelyn: On the field the coach called a meeting. She talked about the tragedy of Raven Fletcher, and encouraged the team to pay honor to her.

Mike: In a whisper so he wouldn't be heard, he asked curiously, "Are Asgardian mourning traditions very different from Ear - Midgard?"

Thora: "Well, for one, during a ritual we send the deceased to the edge of Asgard in a boat, light them on fire, and then the boat goes down the waterfall and the spirit of the person goes up into the sky. Then we release these orbs, stuff like that. That's what my brother and I missed, and stupid Jane Foster got to see happen to my grandmother. You know, it's her fault she's dead too." She sighed. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't talk about this."

Mike: "It sounds like a beautiful ceremony." As he continued drawing, he asked another question. "Are you familiar with the Grim Reaper? There are lots of myths and stories about death on Midgard - it comes a lot sooner for us than Asgardians so we take more of an - I guess interest, but that sounds morbid - in it. The Grim Reaper is one of them. I chose the Grim Reaper because I find it fitting for Raven. The Grim Reaper is supposedly Death personified, usually viewed as a man or skeleton hidden under a black cloak with a hood, carrying a scythe. Apparently the Grim Reaper comes for the souls of the dead, and he can either be merciful or menacing, depending on both the person and how the person views death."

Hope: She could tell they were trying to stay on topic, but the topics kept leading back to Raven's death.

Thora: "I've heard about him. But not on Asgard. We do have other myths, one of which being the ether, but that proved to be true."

OOC: did I spell that right? Ether?

I designed some school shirts on Custom Ink! I thought they'd be cute to have. If you have any request I'd be happy to do them.

Evelyn: They spent practice conditioning. It was soon time to go to core. She entered Mr. Stamos room, face full of sadness.

Jay: He left theatre to core class. Yes, he had an excuse to look out the window today. It'd help with the act.
